I know that jazz has past but as I was goin thru the comments Sid u really ride her in a hack cause thats how I'm trying to train my 4 yr old and ya he has okay turns but me and my trainer both think that wen we add speed he won't wanna turn lol so any advice

it doesnt really matter its more if u go to the right barrel first u go in line up and turn to the right pretty much doing a roleback so they catch the right lead, a good trained barrel horse will have the right lead anyways whether they switch at the barrel or before

Actually, it isn't even called a whip. They are either using a quirt or an 'over and under whip'. It doesn't hurt the horses...it's just an aid that makes them go faster...you wouldn't be saying that if you were the one winning all the time, now would you. So keep your mouth shut unless you know what you're talking about. Nice runs ash =D

Actually, I know a lot of poeple who use all the Artifical Aids and their horses are mostly/usually slower than mine.(There are a few who go faster but not by a huge time difference) I would prefer(if i had to choose) an over under though. I am not trying to put Ashley down b/c I think she is a great rider but it doesn't even look like it makes a difference wheteher she uses a quirt, whip, over under, etc>
