@saltywench Lights in the Trailer Park Test Kitchen sometimes make things melt.... Shortening is what you should use to get a light tasting product...
@JoleneSugarbaker Thank you so much! I can't wait to try this out. I was given a bottle of pink champs, and it's just been sitting here as a decoration, LOL
You should have the PINK mixer!

You say shortening, but you are holding oil, which is NOT the same thing. Which one are you supposed to use?

plumpbird 1 year ago
@plumpbird I think you can substitute lard out for it... or that is what it really is.... not sure which....
angielooo 1 year ago
@plumpbird You can use butter, margarine, crisco (vegetable shorteing) or lard, but for cupcakes I would use butter or margarine.
wildheart5 1 year ago
@plumpbird Vegetable Shortening, Solid Shortening, Crisco (Name Brand)... I think in the UK it's called Trex....

I've always doubted the purpose of sifting ingredients together, seems to turn out the same way even if you don't, seriously.
Great recipe Jolene! Such a pretty pink colour.
Happy New Year to you!
