  • The double-standard is a live and well. Meanwhile some black kid is being tased and arrested for buying $5 worth of weed.

  • @3soccerstars Where can you find weed for $5? I want some. BTW, 80%of black kids are guilty of something anyway.

  • @shmoopy....get a life.

  • They are elected by the voters from each district in a city. For instance San Jose has 10 council members and the mayor. Each council member is supposed to be involved in their community that pertains to them. Oliverio belongs to district 6, the Willow Glen area. Madison Nguyen is district 7 and so on. They also vote on very important issues that gone on in our city. So the council members should be held up to higher standards. Scarey that he is in office handling issues in our beloved SJ.

  • Oliverio is not above the law and the citizens of San Jose should not have to tolerate such abuse of power. Since he has been caught stealing signs, then who knows what else he has done to benefit himself. Makes one wonder if he even has the community's best interest at heart. Thanks for showing this video, I now know the answer to my question. Voting him out of office sounds like a good idea, or will he be stealing those too.

  • What do Council Members do?

  • Who the hell would name their kid "Pierluigi?" That's messed up....

Again, why does the cameraman have to stand back Capt.? He was being detained lawfully by citizens. The Capt. was totally wrong in this instance in not doing anything but just getting the signs back.

It is obvious that he had the signs and was made to return them, but a report still needs to be filed as an event was generated for this by dispatch. it's called accountability, which San Jose is bad at... PLO = Loser!

  • Pierluigi Oliverio is such a douche. He should be prosecuted like anyone else would be if they were accused of stealing. He broke the law yet everyone is looking the other way.

  • Please consider going to Pierluigi Oliverio's public facebook site and leaving comments. I have left comments which he has subsequently deleted and for some reason I can't leave more comments. This were comments in good taste, just disagreeing with what he did and the misinformation he then wrote trying to minimize what he did. This guy is a jerk.

  • vote this guy out of office he's a thief and got caught, and the cops are useless not even a ticket vandelism....

  • @62rome - i cant stand you people who judge the police by what you see in videos never knowing what all the facts are. !st off you dont know if he was cited or not! The Captain might have told him to drive over to waiting officers in order to separate him from the complaintants. A report was definetely written and will be reviewed by a DA as to whether charges will be filed. So shut your trap when you say the cops are useless when you have no idea what ur talking about!

  • @shmoopify fuck you kiss ass.

  • @62rome - LOL truth hurt eh? LOL 62rome= another dweeb who gets brave behind his keyboard and monitor!

  • @shmoopify are you still here didn't i tell you to fuck off, with name like shmoopify you must of been an abused child, whats wrong daddy hurt you to much...

  • @62rome - Wow nice! Went to the "daddy" insults. I remember when I used to say those insults back in the 8th grade. Oh and it's "too much" not "to much". Come on kid, that's something you should have learned 2 yrs ago in the 6th grade. Anyway, I've heard you twice now telling me to "fuck off". Crazy how i'm not listening to you huh? If you we're as scary as your spelling, then maybe I would be intimidated.

  • I left a tasteful comment on oliverio's FB website letting his constituents know that I thought what he did was wrong. He removed my post and banned my name from his site. Now he is into censorship. Go to his FB site and leave a comment. This guy thinks he is a dictator. Just go to FB and search for Pierluigi Oliverio.

  • Not only is Oliverio a thief, he is also trouncing on the constitutional rights of others. What is even more sickening is not only has he not apologized, but Mayor Reed and Pete Constant have made statements condoning what this idiot did. Oliverio is grinning the entire time as though this is a joke. He is a smug and pompous ass. I really hope the District Attorney does the right thing and files theft charges againt Mr. Oliverio.

  • Mr Oliverio,

Sir you are a scumbag. Your true colors are showing. This is what you'll be remembered for.

  • This asshole clearly stole these signs or attempted enforce an ordinance he has not authority to enforce. The people claiming the wrongdoing should have demanded that a police report in writing be made out regarding the attempted theft and dollar amount of the signage. But they apparently did not know how to be firm with that request on the scene. So the officers kissed this fags anal ring and let him drive off with an uncomfortable sneer and smile. Assholes.

  • Has he issued a public statement yet, apologizing and saying he was WRONG???!! Has the mayor and other council people STOP defending him yet?

  • It is not up to the citizens to take the law into their own hands. The same should go for Mr. Oliverio and any other officials not working in their official capacity. As a citizen of San Jose, I pay my taxes and would trust that if the signs were infact illegal (although in my opinion, should be such a small concern of the council because of the real issues they face) the police department or code enforcement is set up to enforce the law.

  • @MrJakeg94 Actually, fool, a citizens arrest is completely possible and in your right. The officer is used to make the initial investigation to determine that a crime has been committed (and in this case the evidence was in the trunk...no doubt) and-or take a potential suspect into custody or arrest. The prosecuting attorney is usually then hired by the citizen making the citizen's arrest.

  • Dear Mr. Oliverio,

Regardless of your position on Measure V, the tremendously poor judgment you demonstrated by clandestinely removing the "Vote No" signs leads me to vote "No" on your future candidacy, NOT on the measure. As a city councilman, your behavior is reprehensible.

    Sincerely,

    Concerned Citizen

  • To EDUCATE Valicore: Penal Code: A citizen has the right to make a citizen's arrest of another citizen in 3 situations:

    (1) A public offense (misdemeanor) COMMITTED, or attempted in the citizen's PRESENCE.... (2) a felony was committed, although NOT in the citizen's presence... (3) A felony has been committed & the citizen has reasonable cause to believe the person arrested has committed it.

SOOOO, they had a right to arrest him for a CRIME committed in their presence.

    Hope this helps!

  • Wow, what's wrong with those cops, I'm surprised they didn't tazer him.

  • @Marz2u - I knew it would only be a matter of time until dummies started posting on here and attacking the police for no reason. Seems to me there are too many "citizens" now days who are just itching to do what they can to make the police out to be villians. Its ridiculous really

  • I bet the thief is a republikkkant

  • I don't think so, although it is possible.

  • Everyone keeps thinking the people who caught him were police, and they WEREN'T... it was just a citizen that you see on the video, no police were involved in catching him. So to get the story straight it was a citizen of San Jose catching a PUBLIC OFFICIAL breaking the law.... and just to help you with the law... A citizen has the right to make a citizen's arrest when they see a law being broken.... who knows how many other illegal things this guy has done and NOT been caught!

  • @MrNeeds2besaid Correction, a citizen has the right to make a citizen's arrest when they witness a felony. Not a misdemeanor or "disturbing the peace." It's also important to note that those performing citizen's arrest don't enjoy the legal protection of a police officer and are fully liable in both civil and criminal court should the felony not be fully evident.

  • @Valicore To EDUCATE You: Penal Code: right to make a citizen's arrest of another citizen in 3 situations: (1) A public offense (misdemeanor) COMMITTED, or attempted in the citizen's PRESENCE (2) a felony was committed, although NOT in the citizen's presence (3) A felony has been committed & the citizen has reasonable cause to believe the person arrested has committed it.

    Hope this helps!

  • @MrNeeds2besaid It does, I was wrong I wasn't looking at the specific rules for California.

  • @Valicore - Actually thats not correct. Citizens can make a citizen's arrest on a Misd. In fact, they must be the one to do it if they witnessed it as officers cannot arrest for misd. not committed in their presence. Also, police officers are fully liable in both criminal and civil court as well.

  • @shmoopify I stand corrected.

  • @Valicore _ My hats off to you for being cordial about it! Most people i have found on youtube are just angry, frustrated souls that cant admit when they made a mistake, so i thank you!

  • These officers are all guilty of obstructing justice.

  • mytidawg.... is MyTiWRONG!,,, A law was broken by a crooked, lame duck politician. Research the law ---

  • There should have been an arrest for theft, stealing from someone else is tolerated in your city?

  • both of thes fools acted like pussies!!!!oh oh i want my property back!!!Yay goood for you!!! u got your property back and the other fag went home and told his life partner what happened and she man was all happy!you shouldve put a led pipe in his adams apple(oh wait!)

  • The issue here is that cops and firemen make WAY too much in their pensions.....vote YES on these two ...V and W

  • He is not innocent. He got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Why are people and the Mayor trying to justify this. This is a small simple crime that shows a lack of ETHICS for all involved. The Mayor is empowering his people by agreeing with what they did. I put out 20 of those signs and they were not all on public property. The ones that were I put next to other signs. Friday night all of them were gone. All the other signs were still there. You guys got caught bottom line.

  • Mayo 21, 2011

    La Biblia lo garantiza.

  • A TRUE disgrace to those who do public service & have the public TRUST --- especially thouse who risk their LIVES (police/fire) when they are doing their jobs!!! HE should have played it smart ---- ADMITTED he was caught & he was WRONG --- at least it would had one HONEST moment in his SHORT politcal career, Hope he is prosecuted and loses his job.... and anyone who defends him (Mayor & other councilman) should go down in the sinking ship of corruptness with him!

  • If he is so "innocent" , why (like ALL crooks) are his first words are about calling an attorney? And the city attorney at that, which would be spending MORE city dollars... he WILL need to hire a PRIVATE attorney like all other crooks when they are caught! If he really wanted to make a difference in his community he should have put energy where it was needed not stealing, oops cleaning up signs "ONLY" from the oppostion - plain & simple DUMB decision and in BROAD daylignt what an idiot!

  • I am sickened by the fact that the Mayor would support these tactics. He not only supported it he justified it. They are all using their positions of authority to put themselves above the law. NO doubt if this was a police officer or firefighter he would have them fired. How can he even plan to show his face in public. This was very simple the jerk did the wrong thing end of story. I dont care if you for or against "V" how can we trust a Mayor that would back his people even in a petty theft.

  • @fwscott8 anyone could have taken them legally....so this PLO dude took them...get over it....nothing was done illegally...it was done legally...what don't you get

  • Anyways, i have a question for everyone! If this was a police officer caught stealing these sign, the public would demand he be fired and im sure the department would do so. Here is a city councilmember doing just that, and what is going to happen to him?!

  • @shmoopify nothing you idiot...he did nothing illegal

  • @mytidawg - U dont think things through to well do you!? My question wasn't what did this guy do that was illegal. My question was if this was a cop caught taking these signs the public would be an an uproar and the police department would give him discipline. Why shouldn't this councilmen face the same????? Was that easier to understand you simpleton?

  • Comment removed

  • @mytidawg - i see you calling alot of people names on here. Just cuz you got picked on in school all the time and have now found a way to call people names without getting beat up, doesnt make your opinions right. ;)

  • @shmoopify hahaha that was pretty funny....hey shmuffy....he had every right to take these signs...i dont care for the fag...opps there i go again another name....but everyone on here wants to hang him by his cojones....and we have or should have better things to do....i heard he took the signs legally...and by the way i was homecoming king in highschool ...got laid all the time hahahah

  • @mytidawg - wow u really are dense. Once again you miss the point of my question. Maybe instead of looking in the mirror so much during high school you should have been hittin the books! Fyi, most gay guys do get voted homecoming king. Doing the girls is just a facade.

  • Only the lowest shit humans go into government.

  • master "of your own mind". A fool pretends to know what they are ignorant of. Are you PP Oliverio? Or just a fool who believed what he said on TV? ID yourself, don't hide behind a foolish pseudo-name. Are you going to deputize yourself & take law into your own hands? PLO or foolish pseudo-name here is some homework. Read muni code sec 23.04.770 & 23.02.0880 regarding signs in public right of way, then call Code Enforcement and ask how the enforcement are supposed to happen. Bye idiot.

  • What a sad day for the San Jose Police Department. I have always been a strong supporter of all Police Officiers and Fire Fighters until now. Police officers have taken an oath to protect and server the community, I wonder who is going to protect us from the police when they clearly are abusing their power. Their behavior is no different than gang members when they outnumber, corner and try to intimidate a city council member. I plan to file an official complaint with both the SJPD & SJFD.

  • @thaleyutube - What the hell are you talking about? Something in this video?

  • Is this supposed to be a model citizen? Oh I forgot, he's the city Council member. Pierluigi Oliverio should be prosecuted like anybody else engaging in the same type of behavior.

  • He can break the law and City policy, he's a council member... It's not a violation when he does it... And Mayor makes the same excuse for him. Throw em all out.

  • This is a shameful behavior. You can search the web and see how others in the thievery of signs were arrested.

  • That's sinking about as low as you can go. Oliverio has the morals of plankton. No offense to plankton. What a sleaze! Who voted for that guy?

  • Yuppie fucking scum.

I would have sprayed him with a flurry of bullets from my uzi until he was hamburger splattered all over that Saturn car.

If the signs were on private property with permission then get some signed affidavits to confirm this and have this guy cast out of politics and into the bowels of jail hell with the sodomites.

  • @kthorn612 WOW...such violence for a sign removal? Anger management issues much?

  • @punkiemom No anger, just...retribution...to the extreme.

  • @kthorn612 wow what an idiot...you are the problem with our society today...splattering people with your illegal gun??.....he took them NOT illegally but legally....anyone could have taken them down....he had the cojones to do it

  • @mytidawg You dead too mutha' fucka'.

  • Councilmember Caught Stealing Campaign Lawn Signs, get this guy out of county jobs

  • Get that stupid council member smartass, lol.

  • Typical behavior by a corrupt official. I saw the same thing happen in Albany, CA back in 2006. Those persons are running for re-election this year! Had the police chief still been elected the outcome would have been different. Abuse of power under the color of authority, plain and simple. Wake up voters!

  • KNP1532 - You are incorrect and misinformed regarding the specific sign that PLO was seen removing and placing in his car's trunk. It was on PRIVATE Property, with permission from the owner. Oliverio is nothing more than an arrogant crook. Kharma is a b*tch!

  • Save lives not signs. Spend your time more wisely. He did nothing wrong. The signs were in illegal areas. Just leave him alone. This is ridiculous. Chase fires and real crimes.

  • @KNP1532 no they were not. first off they were on private property. secondly if the were on a median like Pierluigi said, its still not illegal. political signs cannot be placed on rights-of-way which medians are not listed under. He is a crook and V & W are both sh*t. please read up on laws and V & W before you make yourself look like an idiot

  • as he drives away he starts to put on his seat belt yet the cops did not catch him WTF? Click it or TICKET THAT COWARD !!!

  • PLO... Dudes a total Homo. You hear him saying... I'm calling the City Attorney, I'm calling the Chief of Police, what a pussy! Why was a SJPD Captain dealing with this Butt Pirate? Was he that indignant that he need SJPD ? I would have just kicked his ass and moved on. he calls SJPD brass to help? Those looked like my wife's tapered leggings designed specifically for women. What the hell you doing wearing them PLO? Like it or not you "were arrested" and detained Punk!

  • Dude's driving a Saturn! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @magnus, come on, posting your own video of yourself lifting weights, and calling THIS GUY self-centered? Just saying....

  • @RichardParatestes repeating a hollow argument? just saying....

  • what a dirt bag...Hopefully the City Council has an ethics agreement that he violated and Mayor Reed and the rest of council will have to fire him. If he can do something as low as petty theft should he be trusted to make decisions for the citizens of San Jose? One more thing, what was the other sign he had in the trunk? Did he steal that one too?

  • Stay classy, Councilmember!

  • This "pretty boy" is nothing more than a common criminal. He's arrogant, disgusting and a thief to boot. He should be arrested and fired from his city council job. By the looks of the way that he maintains his car, he must be spending his money on hair gel. He should be wearing a jail-issued orange jumpsuit, instead of the "tapered" pants that he's wearing in this video. Shame on you Pierluigi, you don't deserve to represent the citizens of San Jose. Do us all a favor and resign!

  • Hey, you put up signs illegally, expect them to be taken down! Good for him. Hey, Magnus, your comment it pretty funny coming from someone who posts a video of them lifting weights? Self centered? Kinda the pot calling the kettle black ( do I need to explain that to you?)

  • @RichardParatestes

lol u mad? and you know this guys a snake, don't try to argue in his defense by putting the focus on my videos, of all things.

  • this guy is a perfect example of the people who are elected to run a city, GOD Complex. Nice suits and nice hair is a veneer for a scumbag.

  • that motherfucker. I used to work at the San Jose Swim and Racket and saw this cocky, self centered bastard everyday. He had no regard for others and apparently still doesn't.
