Mir gefallen die alten Spots der Mainzelmännchen viel mehr als die neuen. Mag sein das sie der Zeit angepasst sind. Aber die Spots hatten halt was an sich. Es ist schade, daß man nicht mal eine Download von gewissen Spodgrößen vom ZDF bekommen kann.

@siskavard Oh, I know this caracter. He's called "Uncle Otto" (in German: Onkel Otto). It was the caracter for the hessian television division of the"1st German television". If you type "Onkel Otto" into Youtube you can see some full comercial breaks and also short clips.
Hi again! I'd love to have a copy of this clip as they are the original Mainzelmaennchen like what I saw 35 years ago, but all those offered on eBay are more "modernised" and not as good, I think!

It might be Onkel Otto, the mascot of the Hessischer Rundfunk. Although he's grey, not blue, and he's a walrus or a seal or something like this :P
