  • awesome video

  • is that Randy Quaid at 1:13?

  • @TheOusooner56 Yes!!!! He's somewhere in Canada now I guess...running from the law!

  • Tony Blackburn played this today on Radio 2 Pick of the Pops. I'd forgotten how fab it is. Makes you forget all the crap in the world for a few minutes. I much prefer this to Lady Gaga or Rihanna.

  • Great bass-great drums-great vocals-great band!

  • a traditionnal american videoclip with the cut at 2:02

  • Kids see this video now and say, "How come they keep getting lost? Why doesn't Vicki use her GPS??"

  • Susanna Hoffs is a babe - those big brown eyes .........

  • I'M BORN 30 YEARS TOO LATE!!

  • @Chantalchux ha ha ha ha ha you need a time machine!!

  • Carlos Vega(RIP), awesome drums on this tune. Underrated great studio drummer.

  • @RudyGrace1 Why the drummer of the Bangles dont play on this song on the studio version?

  • Love the happy beat and old school sound !

  • Michael is so pretty and talented! a VERY underrated member of the Bangles

  • LOL Little Richard is hillarious

he should have been in the movies

  • The Bangles hit #11 in Billboard, 4-18-87. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Shalom, Susanna Hoffs! Have a great week!

  • I love the harmonies in this song. And I love when Little Richard gives Debbi the stink-eye right before he walks backstage. lol!

  • man i miss the 80s. the all time best all girl band right here. and they are all so beautiful. with great legs!!!!

  • lol love how lil richard's like "cut it off already!!" @ 2:50

  • 1:53 Boston album poster on the door, for some reason

  • Good times.....great music....unmatched.

  • Oh... I just re- lived a fantasy... Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.......

  • Cute and catchy song. I miss the 80s...

    Oh and Michael is *hawt*

  • "Little Richard" - hmmm is that short for 'mini-dick' - jk

Woah - before sum of you get crazy on me, I am fully aware that Little Richard is a living Rock 'N' Roll legend. Its the name I was getting silly on XD

  • This song just popped into my head and I thought "I wonder if thats on youtube?", glad to see it is, gonna repeat for the next few hours. See at 3.03 - she's looking at me! Nice! :)

  • A real fun video. The Bangles were the only band to keep my head (and heart) in the 80s, as I grew up in the 70s. Michael, you are awesome...xoxoxoxo

  • Well, my favourite is is LIGHT MY WAY HOME,,,,,

  • At 1:00 she kind of looks like a cleaner prettier version of Ke$ha ha

  • The child-like voice of Susanna IS very pretty!!

    ed

  • is that Little Richard? what the... he's not walking down their street, they don't live in harlem

  • I wonder what Little Richard thought of The Bangles; That would have been an interesting Point Of View to hear.

  • Comment removed

  • @kja427 I'm sure Little Richard would say The Bangles copied him in everything from their sound to their moves to their look!

  • JAJAJAJJJJ!!! LITTLE RICHARD!!!

  • This has kind of a B-52s 'Love Shack' vibe to it.

  • Comment removed

  • love beats? huh

  • @wazburg Love beads. It's a sixties thing.

  • 3:33 any one else spot the fail drum roll lol

  • @reggin121 That's nothing. In "Eternal Flame" they show Vicki playing the solo on a nylon stringed guitar when it's obvious the recorded solo was on an electric guitar! It's like a scene from an Elvis movie.

  • Ah, I love this video! Cheesy but fun!

  • Love the Bangles. Hate Osama Obama! Bring on the REAL change!

  • @Nostams

Oh you will get lots of change from the caravan of freaks on the right that were elected.

  • @Nostams butbutbut, the real change was the 60s; all the chaos the hippies did, now they're the ones running govt. :) connect the dots: the late 1960s were the beginning of the final century before He returns.

  • @idknow1 "the late 1960s were the beginning of the final century before He returns". Are you talking about Charlie Sheen returning to Two and a Half Men?

  • @knovinski LOL: that's highlarious! :)

  • @idknow1 I'm glad you liked it, my friend. :)

  • what kind of Les Paul is Vicki playing? Yeah 1980 rules..but we can never go back or could we? Nah

  • Oh MAN, I miss the 60s. REALLY cheap gas . . . No Obama . . . no war (oh, wait, a REAL war. Sorry) . . . great harmonies . . . no rude people injecting some stupid political statement into everything, even a youtube video post.

  • @gmartinz01

No injecting some stupid political statement in the 60s. Really? What 60s did you live in?

  • LtRacjack12> I agree Micki's look is endearing, rather sexy too. Ms Hoffs usually got most of the media coverage but Micki is a sexy woman as well.

  • Oh MAN grandpa misses the 40's. Even cheaper gas. His prostate still worked and NO AIDS!

So what if in the 21st century cell phones can save your life even if they do spend most of their existence providing a means for mindless chatter. So what if in the 21st century you can go on the internet where there are actually at least 29 people who actually agree with you.

BTW there was a Bush in the 80's. George senior. He too fucked up the economy and sent boys to do his dirty work in Iraq.

  • Good song... man I miss those daze!

  • Awesome song.

  • Hit #11 pop, #33 AC in Billboard. God bless!

  • now THIS is REAL music

  • AMEN Mike !!

  • thats randy quaid in the pickup? haha isnt it???

  • @ringbolt9 Sure looked like him!!! Cousin Eddy!

  • Never heard this song. Fantastic tune! Did they write their own material?

  • this is just such a fun video of the girls getting together and going to LA.

it takes four very talented girls to up stage this guy and they pulled it off much to his chagrin!

sorry about that! you just can't compete with this group!

news flash: they are on tour as of this posting!

see their show if you can! if not, get an album! you won't regret it!

    long live the bangles!

  • that is a very tame show that the Bangles are putting on opening for Little Richard. they are usually much better than that, like in the "Be With You" video

  • Love Brunettes Eyes.... smokiness, sexy...

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @Tankboy26 There are three brunettes in the band. Which one are you talking about? Or are you referring to Little Richard?

  • Chanson de merde. Full of shit.

  • C'est toi qui crains, oui !

  • I just saw a video of them performing and I swear Susanna just F*ing rocks the cougar look..Dear lord...It's terrible she was the first woman I found attractive at the age of eight..and I just don't know if I have it in me for a lifelong obsession..I have ADD..and commitment issues :P

  • agreed... on all counts, I share the same issues... lol

  • Susanna Hoffs has got to be one of the hottest girls in Rock....actually.....more like adorably Hot,and the crazy thing is that she looks AMAZING Still to this day!!

    Plus....great 80's group!!!

  • 1:34 is so interesting!

  • Micki's look at .11 is so endearing

  • I can tell that Randy was offering to help Vicki, Debbi, Susanna and Michael. And I also think it's cute how he "Walks Like an Egyptian" so to speak. But I'm having trouble figuring out how both gestures go together.

    (scratches head)

  • he also does the eyebrow thing! it looks really interesting.

  • @patrickballoonman Randy was asking them if they knew where he could find a place to squat.

  • I love this video, its so funny!

  • I never knew there was a video for this song!!! Thanks for posting it.

  • Michael Steele was such a TIGHT Bassist, I mean FABO,..The Runaways loss, was the Bangles core

  • @BeccaGSD I know! The bass playing on "Walk Like An Egyptian" is incredible. I love the guitar solo on that song, too.

  • Who doesn't have a thing for Susanna hoffs

  • Yes, that is Randy Quaid. Bangles were cool. I love Susanna!

  • is that randy quaid at 1:09?

  • It sure is.

  • Not my favorite Bangles video, but I've always had a thing for Susanna Hoffs (The lead singer).

  • Little Richard is such a little homo.

But this is a great tune.

  • He s nearly six feet and two hundred pounds.

  • Ok, he's a 6' 200lb homo. But he's still a homo.

  • You definately know Homo's.I like you southrockdrummer, but not in a gay way.More like two proper men saying"look how gay that fella is."

  • Vicki looks great at 1:02

  • Vicki looks great ALWAYS...meeee ow

  • Susanna is so fuckin' hot

  • i'm whit by the way!!

  • nonsense black woman are the best

  • As my Mom use to say; those girls could be wearin' burlap bags and still look sexy!!!

  • Susanna is in the van sleeping (LOL)That is to cute .

  • i wasnt born in the 80s, but after listening to eternal flame, i checked out other bangles videos, and i just love this group! they got some talent and class. i wonder what they all doing now.....

  • welllll ive seen it all now.. the bangles in a pillow fite on the bed.. my life is now complete :DDDDDDDDDD

  • Bangles Come Walk Down Our Street!

    3:23-27 LOL

  • My favorite pop group from 80's , i was child whe i heard this song .greetings from Peru

  • no, actually Vicky, the lead guitarist was the closest thing to the leader for this band. it was Susanna who answered an ad in i believe, the recycler that the roomate of vivky had placed. since vicky answered the phone, the 2 got to talking and realized that they had alot in common musically and that set the ball rolling.

  • Oh MAN I miss the 80's!!! Cheap Gas...No Bush...NO 911....no War...no rude people with cell phones...and really good music videos.....

    The 21st Century SUCKS!!!!

  • @mikemanners11 NObama!

  • @mikemanners11 Sounds to me like you could use a hot tub time machine.

  • mikemanners11 I FEEL YAH!

  • @mikemanners11 and not to mention when MTV STILL played music videos and wasnt a reality tv channel.

  • @mikemanners11 you're partly right - no 911 - ther was lots of bush - thank got that leftie P.o.S. daddy Bush was 2nd in charge through MOST of the 80s....

  • @mikemanners11 ya thank god the Bush was only VP then and couldnt bring much of his leftie bullshit with him back then :...

  • @mikemanners11

there was bush,,,just 2nd incommand...exactlu where lefties belong,,,,

  • @mikemanners11 ....and BEST of all, NO OBAMA! Ahhhh, the good old days!

  • @mikemanners11

No worst of all we have Cowboy Ronnie Reagan whose policies planted the seeds which have led to the long term decline we have today......protecting Wall Street, de-regulation, trickle down economics, tax cuts for the rich. Sound familiar...2010 Republican Party.

  • @mikemanners11 you took the words right out of my mouth!!! the 80's were sure the best times!!!

  • @mikemanners11 Another worn out baby boomer stuck in the past. That's just sad. I agree the best wmusic of all time came out of the seventies but the eighties weren't far behind. The sixties SUCK in comparison and don't even mention the fifties. I just saw inception for the twentieth time. You never had movies like that in the eighties.

  • @mikemanners11 Your posting of almost 2 years ago on how life was better in the '80s reeks of an old person's nostaligia. That decade was my heyday, too. And although the '80s were a ton of fun, let's not forget that we still had Reagan, his idiocy and wartime economy, Iran Contra, Bush Sr., Apartheid, the Cold War (until '88) and lots of other little gems. Sure, I miss those days, too. But life today is not hell.

  • @mikemanners11 there is always some kind of war ...

  • Suzana hoffs is amazinly cute.

  • So who else thinks Vicki and Michael look really cute in their pyjamas? The only non-hot member is the drummer.

  • The four are hot.

    Hot, hot, hot, hot

  • ironically it was the drummer who put this group together

    and was the "leader"

  • @TomRaymondUK I agree with you about Vicki and Michael looking really good, but I don't know where you get off saying the drummer, Debbie, is "non-hot", as you put it. You may think she doesn't look that great in this video but I've seen her in other videos and in pictures where she looks downright beautiful.

  • 0:32 lol

  • I'll be seeing them in two days in Miami! Alright!!!!

  • i miss the bangles. can u say REUNION??

  • They did that a couple years ago.

  • All the videos from The Bangles I've watched such as Real World,Going Down To Liverpool,If She Knew What She Want,Walk Like An Egyptian,Hero Takes A Fall,Walking Down Your Streer and Hazy Shade of Winter are very cool! But for me Eternal Flame giving me more feeling of love values...oh!

  • WOW, a cool video! It's cool that they got Little Richard to do the video with them!

  • Damn that was good.. I'd kinda forgotten about that one. Why was Little Richard being such a prick?

  • you have to understand the over the top charisma that IS the TRUE king of rock&roll, Little Richard. elvis who??

  • True, remember Little Richard kicked Jimi Hendrix out of his band for upstaging him.

  • Little Richard was in on the joke. He's so over the top, it's funny to see him upstaged by The Bangles. Great song, and I still love those harmonies.

  • susanna hoffs is so hot

  • this was their best song I think...so forgotten but yet the over played Walk Like An Egyptian is ok...but i would chose this one a million times over, takes me back to the 5th grade :)

  • On a chilly day in December of 1980, a beautiful Jewish kitten answered a "band member wanted" ad in an L.A. newspaper called "The Recycler." Susana Hoffs showed up at the door of sisters "Vicki and Debbie Peterson" to talk about their dreams and ambitions of playing Rock and Roll music together. Los Angeles would soon heat up, as well as the rest of America, to one of the greatest "all girl" Rock groups the world has ever known.

  • That apple's got Michael's germs on it, Vicki. You sure you want to eat it? I guess she ain't worried about that.

  • I once knew a Lebanese girl that was an exact carbon copy of Susanna in this vid and oh so nice.Same everything and God I liked her.Unfortunately I had to move she got married and that was that.Bet she still is a peach after all these years.

  • This song still gives me shivers of JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYY!!!! Thank you Gurls!!! :)

  • that would of been good its a real shame it didnt

  • I wanted this to climb into the top ten on the Billboard chart, but it stopped at #11. Arrgh!! Anway it did on Scott Shannon's Rockin America chart, but who really used that chart? Another favourite of mine by the Bangles.

  • this has to be my fav bangles song its just so catchy

  • All four girls are beautiful; I'd date any one of them any given day if single. Susanna always grabs my attention with her always-receptive stare and her smile.

  • I have allways wondered for years what was Little Richards problem in this video

  • Well I think it's obvious, he was feeling upstaged.

  • they played tooo long and too his steam away.

  • Ya, that's the concept of the video. :-)

  • Wow. I thought i knew every Bangles song that was out there. I thought wrong. This was the first time i ever heard this tune. Dont like it as much as some of the others, but its a dececnt tune

  • theyre all so hot

  • so hot and sweet and makes me googly!

I had forgotten this song. I didnt appreciate the Bangles then as much as now. Wow!

  • kinda sad of the popcorn at the beginning :(

  • LOL when Susanna says "fuck it!" and just dumps all the fish food in the bowl! XD I consider this to be one of the Bangles' most fun & entertaining songs/videos right next to 'Walk Like An Egyptian'

  • how weak is richads play at hoffs at 2:03

  • I'll be damned is that Randy Quaid?

  • Hahaha! I was thinking the same thing!

  • vveryy good,

  • i love the bangles soo much :) ♥

  • WOW IS AMAZING!

  • Girls, you go!

  • The Bangles are the best female artists of the 1980s together with Belinda Carlisle! MADONNA TRY TO DO THIS!

  • gee what is that 1 sone like ... it goes .. and there he goesd justa walking down the street goin doo waa doo ditty dum ditty do

  • Loved one of the bangles, shame I was only 6 at the time. Might not really wanna run away with her anymore.

  • Mtv played the dickens out of this video

  • I looooooooooooooove them. They were always really funny, too. It was cool to be young and right there with 'em when they came out...

  • the bangles

    are amazing

    =]

    <333333333333

  • isnt that Randy Quaid? at 1:09?

  • yep

  • One of the greatest harmonizing bands, and girls groups of all time! Oh my God, what ever happened to the eighties? Oh how terrible the music sounds these days! This can't be real!

  • Bangles ya-hahahahaha^^

  • Looked like Randy Quaid heading back to his family in Vacation.

  • i <3 this band and this song.....

    shake that pillow fight...XD

  • the BANGLES ROCK!!!!!

  • give me the apple !!!

  • Walking down your street.

  • ooooooooooooooooh! Oh, I've had sleepless nights!

  • <
