Tony Blackburn played this today on Radio 2 Pick of the Pops. I'd forgotten how fab it is. Makes you forget all the crap in the world for a few minutes. I much prefer this to Lady Gaga or Rihanna.
"Little Richard" - hmmm is that short for 'mini-dick' - jk
Woah - before sum of you get crazy on me, I am fully aware that Little Richard is a living Rock 'N' Roll legend. Its the name I was getting silly on XD
This song just popped into my head and I thought "I wonder if thats on youtube?", glad to see it is, gonna repeat for the next few hours. See at 3.03 - she's looking at me! Nice! :)
@sarcee1960 If anything, "Love Shack" has a "Walking Down Your Street" vibe, since "Walking Down Your Street" was released 3 years before "Love Shack." The similarity you notice probably has something to do with the way music and videos were produced in the mid-eighties to the early nineties. What seems new and hip at the moment is copied and becomes widespread and then a few years later it looks or sounds dated.
@reggin121 That's nothing. In "Eternal Flame" they show Vicki playing the solo on a nylon stringed guitar when it's obvious the recorded solo was on an electric guitar! It's like a scene from an Elvis movie.
@Nostams butbutbut, the real change was the 60s; all the chaos the hippies did, now they're the ones running govt. :) connect the dots: the late 1960s were the beginning of the final century before He returns.
@idknow1 "the late 1960s were the beginning of the final century before He returns". Are you talking about Charlie Sheen returning to Two and a Half Men?
Oh MAN, I miss the 60s. REALLY cheap gas . . . No Obama . . . no war (oh, wait, a REAL war. Sorry) . . . great harmonies . . . no rude people injecting some stupid political statement into everything, even a youtube video post.
Oh MAN grandpa misses the 40's. Even cheaper gas. His prostate still worked and NO AIDS!
So what if in the 21st century cell phones can save your life even if they do spend most of their existence providing a means for mindless chatter. So what if in the 21st century you can go on the internet where there are actually at least 29 people who actually agree with you.

I met Michael Steele back in 2001 after a show at the Arena Theater in Houston, TX. I was polite, respectful and asked her to sign my vinyl copy of "Everything". Since I was the only Black Guy there that night, she just stared at me and began to back away like she was afraid! Debbi Peterson looked at me and withdrew too but all the other fans were given a very warm reception. I was treated like filth. I still LOVE The Bangles but...white people will NEVER change.
i wasnt born in the 80s, but after listening to eternal flame, i checked out other bangles videos, and i just love this group! they got some talent and class. i wonder what they all doing now.....
no, actually Vicky, the lead guitarist was the closest thing to the leader for this band. it was Susanna who answered an ad in i believe, the recycler that the roomate of vivky had placed. since vicky answered the phone, the 2 got to talking and realized that they had alot in common musically and that set the ball rolling.
@mikemanners11 you're partly right - no 911 - ther was lots of bush - thank got that leftie P.o.S. daddy Bush was 2nd in charge through MOST of the 80s....

I looooooooooooooove them. They were always really funny, too. It was cool to be young and right there with 'em when they came out...

One of the greatest harmonizing bands, and girls groups of all time! Oh my God, what ever happened to the eighties? Oh how terrible the music sounds these days! This can't be real!
