  • Cantonese is the best language in the world.

  • It's nice of you to create videos teaching people how to speak Cantonese, but you may want to correct some of your wrong pronunciations; yes, they do make a difference. See this video for examples: watch?v=5gpU9xOVxic

  • Hi I was in Guahgzhou last month and many people said something like XIE XIE for thank you. Or is this Mandarin?

    thanks for the help

  • @CarlosMarioMedellin yes, Xie Xie is Mandarin.

  • @CarlosMarioMedellin

yes, the words XIE XIE in Mandarin (Putonghua) is same meaning as thank you in English. But for Cantonese, we say "dor tse" to someone who gives you something, eg a gift. We say "hmm goi" to someone who gives a helping hand.

  • Yepp people do ask if ate yet as a greeting lol, my parents do it all the time(:

  • I can understand cantonese, but I can't say it and I have a cantonese accent.

  • Thank you... nn goi!.. :-)

  • what is the brand of your guitar??

  • @matrokers It is a gibson explorer

  • Thanks for the simple phrase, please keep up the daily videos. I appreciate the proper pronunciation from a real person, it really beats the CDs some times.

  • @Finalxgohan Thanks for your comment. I will post more videos once I have more time. The best way to learn is to hear real people talking in the language. I totally agree that CD is not as good sometime because when I tried to learn other language using CDs. It doesnt work very well.

  • @tszchinlewis

CDs are good but cdroms & videos are better.

I watch alot of HK & Mandarin Movies so its easy to distinguish

after hearing them alot, esp Japanese from chinese.

    Good lesson
