Thank you very much for posting! There were a lot of impatient people towards the beginning with rude comments, but I appreciate you posting these FREE mind you videos.
Just right click and choose " Save Target As" and it will download to a folder of your choice. Have a look at the Graham Hodge session on the sessions page
how do i download the files to mix them? it only opens a page with a player. NICE SERIES BY THE WAY! am loving this! i cant wait to add my own mix to these!
Hey Davey thanks for the comments. I guess as an engineer I would have to say that actually if you have a great guitarist and a good guitar then recording acoustic is really pretty straightforward. But DEFINITELY use a mic every time. For a really great microphone get one of Golden Ages FC4MC mics. Stunning value for money
Thanks for the series, been dabling for 3 months with acousitc guitar mics, I agree all pickups are rubbish, compared to a clean mic. Even £300 soundhole mic pickups don't sound as batural or rich as even a branded budget mic recorded as demostrated in the series. Live is another thing of course.
My experience is that getting the right guitar is 90% of the sound. Try the trick of a small diaphragm condenser on the 12th fret and then a larger diaphragm mic on the body for a fuller sound BUT you will need to check for phase using two mics. The best preamp on the market for the money is the Golden Age pre-73 but its really hard to know what your setup is like. R
I also like this series! Thanks a lot for your help. May ask for an advice?
Nomatter which mic I am using (Rode NT5, Rode NT1a, SE electronics SE3,...) they all sound too metallic for me. I am using a TC Konnekt 24 D interface. Do you think an external preamp (Avalon, SPL, Focusrite) would bring a change to this?
Thanks for the sound files, very helpful!
