Dave was a drummer.. and a lot of foo fighters songs are deeply inspired by Nirvana spirit.. ("Friend of a friend" for instance..) It really seems that Grohl tried to express himself with his Nirvana experience.
I agree it's really different and can't be appreciate by all nirvana's fans..The Foo fighters give peacefull and sweet vibrations...instead of "Rock'n'Roll" spirit of Nirvana. but Dave grew up, he funded a family and getting older! just like normal people ^^

So you may have seen a different one, they did however play MSG in NY the next night and the concert itself was EXACTLY like the one in MA .... word for word! ... even when he was talking to the crowd, that was a little gay, but I still love them.
I was hanging out with Mike Hsu and Jonathan Kardas right before they went into the interview. I was trying to get Jonathan to tell Dave Grohl that there was a guy named Dave Flood who wanted to challenge him in a game of "Foo"sball. Anyway...long story short I didn't get in... almost... Mike Hsu is a great guy and Jonathan is a lucky, lucky man.
i no i went to the venue at 2:30 hoping to see them go in which i did chriss waved to us but we didnt actually meet him and then after the show we waited and we saw pat and he waved to ushe was like 2 feet away from us but anyway we didnt actually meet them like i was hoping
They were awesome that night, I was actually in the hallway when this interview was going on and after.. actually got to meet all the guys.. get hugs autographs and pics... it was amazing and they were incredibly nice!
I won tickets to the concert, then they had an extra drawing for the backstage passes... which I won ;P woot! there were only 4 of us who got to meet them out of over 22,000 ppl. there that night...totally made my day :)
