lol im guessing the people who are impressed that she is 15 have not known many kids who go into instruments, its started at a very very young age, and she has that much control, well she looks asian, and lets face it all the pianists, violinists and or any sort of musicians are coming from the east like Russia, and other asian countries, American kids on the other hand, well, they dont really care about music like this anymore, and its true
@metallica4ev And do you know why kids these days aren't taking an interest in music, or the arts, in general? It's because we use outdated methods to teach them, and we resign the fate of the fine arts to "Oh, kids these days just don't like this kind of thing." Fuck apathy in the arts, it has no place there. This is damn good for 15, doesn't matter who you are. Don't just sit back and lament the state of fine arts in American schools, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
@jswartz42 its not my job, and i never said shes bad for 15, i think shes good, but she can get even better, and outdated methods like the ones that famous composers and musicians learned how to play with? Arts are discipline, dedication and require that people seek perfection with their art, if this girl keeps it up, she will be even better then she is now at 18, also its just a fact that the best musicians/composers come from Europe mainly, im not saying that USA hasnt produced any
@metallica4ev I know we have fantastic talent and many famous artists today. But they received exceptional teaching. The way many band and orchestra programs and studio art programs that will simply never produce someone like this girl. Statistically speaking, there should be more skilled Chinese and American artists than European. I can't speak for China, but the system in the US excludes art ed. Funding cuts, poor teaching methods/lack of standards for art ed., and apathy.
@metallica4ev And also, so what if it's not your job? You can still do something about it. Go to a local high school band/orchestra/choir concert. Give lessons. Buy something by a student artist/photographer to inspire them to keep it up. Be excited about art in your life, and it will be infectious. I guarantee you that this girl has had some fantastic mentors and inspirations in her musical career. Be just that for somebody else, it doesn't have to be your job.
I hope every one knows this is one of the four hardest concertos with bartok no. 2, and pagannini one and two
