  • These pigs need to be waterboarded themselves before they talk. Chris Hitchen's at least has the stones to research his statements with his own body, and police have to be tased before they can wield a taser. These pigs in DC should all be required to be waterboarded before they can vote for this.

  • LOL,poorest representation of waterboarding iv ever seen,if i ran the show id show the navy SEALS being waterboarded in training until they blackout.

they do that to teach them that they cant possibly resist it, by the way.

Also , Sure, i would gladly stick the dick of a terrorist in a lightbulb socket, that wouldnt phase me, but the idea of someone doing that to my dad because THEY beleive he has information... well, if they did id hunt them down and... well.. put them through something insane.

  • This is pussyboarding... Soldiers prefer dunking head in oil barrel full of water.. Far more effective..

  • waterboarding is a fucking joke. i'd let anyone waterboard me for a dollar a minute.

  • Lol I'd like to see you last 30 seconds while someone was making you think you were drowning without panicking.

  • it is torture to watch obama screw everything up every day. Obama was pushed into this by the radical left. Now democrats including the speaker madam of the house is implicated and obama must try to divert another major screw up. the radical left caused this mess and obama is not strong enough in character to deal with them.

  • This is a mild form of torture. Torture is getting beat repeatedly, having your teeth extracted with plyers, getting electic shocks to your testicles...those sorts of things. So what if waterboarding simulates draining. As long as waterboarding gets the suspect to release intelligence in a timely manner that can aid in the apprehension of other terror suspects and/or shut down terrorist cells or provide anything of 'actionable intellegence' then I'm all for it!!

  • To define torture, you have given examples of ways to be tortured. The problem with this is, when determining what sorts of thins are torture without a working definition, viable examples of torture (such as waterboarding) are left out.

Waterboarding is in fact drowning, you should look into the technicalities.

The internet is already flooded with wrong information. Please stop posting.

  • I was waterboarded last weekend so I would know how it feels. It's a horrible feeling and your body goes into a state of panic because you not only think you're drowning, but worse you think you're going to die. So determinism89, shut your liberal pie hole and don't tell me to look into 'technicalities' - I've know waterboarding because I've now experienced it. In fact, I'd love to waterboard you sometime so you know what it is. Anyway, I'm all for waterboarding despite the fear/panic it causes.

  • I should point out that there is now only one discrepancy between our views. Also, you have developed a more informed understanding of what water boarding is since your first post.

    from: "waterboarding simulates draining"

to: "you not only think you're drowning, but worse you think you're going to die"

    Congratulations.

  • You moron, waterboarding is NOT drowning. It simulates drowning. BIG difference! How would you feel if your mother, father, brother, or sister was in that building that came down. Would you want them to give the terrorist their miranda rights? They only used this on like 5 people, but the information they got from these high level combatants was huge. Imagine how many mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters were saved. Have you ever thought about those people you communist liberal pig?

  • I have.

I recognize that just about every modern conflict has stemmed from nationalism . Of course I was terrified at what happened. I'm attempting to be a stronger person by NOT being swayed by my emotions and giving in to "them and us" mentality. It isn't constructive to force information out of an individual by taking away their liberties.

Try allowing yourself to be (forcefully) water-boarded in order to realize that there is no distinction.

  • You have some good points and I apologize for letting my feelings get the best of me by calling you names. However, the challenges we face with these terrorist are different than anything we have faced before. They believe that dying in a religiously sanctioned battle as a Martyr is the greatest sacrifice they can make for their God. Personally, I think they put that in the Quran to motivate their fighters. Ask yourself this, do they deserve our liberties when they kill inocent people?

  • I should say that (as far as I am aware) the prisoners in Guantanamo have not had access to a fair trial. To hold them for more than a month without any sort of appeals process is an unsafe practice. It invites the possibility that an innocent person be held and (potentially) tortured.

I dont have any religious affiliation. However, when I did learn about the nature of Islam I percieved it as a mechanism for submission. There is language in the Quran that is intended to subjugate infidels.

  • Although, there are contradictions to this ideology in the Quaran as well and I realize that a vast majority of practitioners of Islam do not advocate violent submission of infidels.

As far as the challenges posed by radical extremists. I have to disagree. While this "war on terror" has involved quite a bit of military involvement (and expense), a majority of it has been entirely unnecessary; it also pales in comparison to the national efforts put forth durring WW's I and II.

  • American values involve the practice of responsible behaviors that protect the rights of EVERY INDIVIDUAL (not just it's citizens)

Warterboarding is immoral and is a violation of those rights

    We are Americans

Ergo, we should not practice Waterboarding.

  • You are the moron, because you are ignorant about it and don't even know it. Waterboarding IS drowning if it is done right. You literally drown and are then revived, and waterboarded again. All these simulations you are seeing, aren't the real thing, they are just demonstrations with actors. Think outside the box, you idiot fascist conservative chickenhawk. TORTURE IS TORTURE, PERIOD.

  • I was in jail for a night and I could see how someone would say something (confess) just to gain some comfort (like a pillow when you are laying on a cold floor). So what if someone that does not like your comment, tells someone they saw you praying to Allah with your Koran and plotting an attack...then your ass gets waterboarded and I'm sure they could get you to say just about anything. And it is actual drowning, they just empty your lungs out before you die.

  • This is exactly why we will get hit again. This is not torturewe have the nancy boys running the country. i am ashamed to breath the same air as obama

  • Hehe, right, I'm sure you're a real toughie, lol.

If some strangers kidnapped your ass, tied you down in some abandoned warehouse and waterboarded you it would fuck you up for life. You would be way beyond tears, son. "Nancy boy", lol. You make me laugh.

  • waterboarding isnt even remotely torture, did you guys know that,

did you know in some countries if you commit even a little crime, they cut your hands off.

  • lets waterboard you and see if you think it isnt tourture

  • Waterboarding is equally fucked up, knowing that it causes the victim to come in and out of death.

  • How does what other countries do make waterboarding not torture?

There is no supporter of this technique that would still claim it was not torture is he was truly kidnapped by strangers, held against his will, and tied down and waterboarded, period. Not one. You would offer then anything, including your little ass, for them to stop and let you go.

They don't use it because it's "mildly annoying". Duh.

  • FAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR FUCKIGN LEFT. they need to turn right, ahahahaah.

  • we got to be better at hiding things.......damn media

  • Soooo let me get this straight...

Those who willingly strap bombs to their bodies in order to wipe out our men, women and children are saying waterboarding is not a nice thing to do to them?

LOL. Only in America. Now known as the Land Of Appeasement and Pushovers. Damn.

  • oh thats horrible its much nicer when an arab cuts ur fuckin head off with a crppy dirty knife , FUCK THESE ASSHOLES THEY ARE IN THE WAY OF OUR WESTERN PROGRESS

  • western progress is better by torturing?

  • circumstantially, yes. you can't always play nice with everyone.

  • shut up fag

  • vote no on waterboarding and yes on bodyboarding, these people at gitmo should get boards and taken to the beach. since most of them were picked up by faulty inteligence

  • Yea, I'd like to see George Bush's reaction to water boarding after they do to him

How can he say it's not torture if he hasn't experienced it???

    Fucking idiot!

  • OF COURSE waterboarding is torture...you put the victim to the edge of drowning.

Why do you think people getting waterboarded must be tied up ? Because it´s such a nice feeling ? Why do you think it CAN be able to force informations out its victims ? Because it fills their hearts with so much pleasure and sympathy for the executors ?

  • @NKA23 Being that an interrogation technique is unpleasant doesn't mean it's torture.

  • Son, "waterboarding" is a well known technique of torture and has been known as such for thousands of years.

If you waterboard somebody, you´re giving your victim the feeling of drowning which means you´re giving them the feeling of dying, it´s the same as putting a gun to somebody´s head and tell them that you gonna shoot them if they don´t "sing"...that´s fucking torture.

  • @NKA23 Whipping someone is torture, electrocuting someone is torture, but pouring water over some guys face isn't no matter how bad it feels! Plus the soldiers doing this have experienced it themselves so they know how far they can go!

  • Man, putting somebody on board, bondaging them, and giving them the feeling of FUCKING DROWNING is torture.

It´s just another form of torture than whipping somebody or things like that.

Why do many people "sing" , when being "waterboarded" ?

Because it´s FUCKING TORTURE, you dumbass.

  • @gunzrkewl Why are all those other things torture and water boarding not? Also where have you gotten information that everyone performing this has had it done to them?

  • Propably gunzrkewl doesn´t know that it´s the trauma that´s making torture torture and not the scars it might leave or not.

  • How do you come to your conclusion that it is an effective way to stop terror?

Also, we live in a republic, not a democracy.

  • You have your terms all mixed up. Republic and Democracy are not mutually exclusive. USA is a representative democracy and also a republic. It is not a direct democracy when it comes to congress, but that's just common sense (i.e. it would be insane to vote for 535 individual congress members during a single election). However, the president is elected by direct democratic processes, electoral college notwithstanding.

  • We can obtain names and copious amounts of information to stop terror through this. The way you saked, You made it seem like we're doing this stop people from becoming terrorists. If we did that, then we should be decapitating some fools, Is that what you want?

thumbs down to you and your ignorance and your superiority complex.

  • do you work in the whitehouse, if someones being waterboarded youll give any information just to make em stop ,and that means the information could be just a crock of shit, its torture, dont justify it.even if it is just reserved for fucking muslim pricks.

  • I know there are two factions of thought on WBing. I think the BEST way is narcotic/drug intervention: In this way, there is only a rare chance of iliciting "wrong" information.

  • how can Ted Kennedy comment on anything related to water? lol. he freakin murdered someone and they died in a watery grave. why? cause he didnt want to hurt his reputation. but it bit him anyway. unfortunately, people dont seem to care that their blessed liberal senator is a killer...

  • When a person gets Water Boarded a rag is shoved down your through. This FKs with your gag reflex. Water is poured over the cloth on the face. This soaks the cloth in your mouth too. Yes, you're suffocating and drowning.

  • thats what we want

  • How is that torture? Just pouring a cup of water over his face. oww stop, stop the water is too cold!

  • Well, that's the point of this video. This computer simulation is not a simulation of waterboarding at all. If you want to see some more realistic videos of the waterboarding technique, search Google Video. I'm sure there are other ways this torture is being used, however, they are not documented at the current moment.

  • The other person who commented is right. This is not a realistic demonstration of waterboarding. Look at more information elsewhere to see how it IS, in fact, torture.

  • Then I guess the people that die from waterboardings is just a coincidence, right?
