I'm a freelance tv news reporter and was there in NOLA on the 500 day Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina doing some news reports on how people were rebuilding there lives after Katrina. When the fuck is this asshole president of our going to something. I just wish that jack-off would know WTF its like to live in a city that in post hurricane, poverty, drug ridden, unstable, crime wave enviorment. That son of a bitch never had a hard day in his life
Good one dumbass. But part of your name has moron in it. And since you were stupid to call that your user name you are the idiot. And you wanna talk about intelligence. You probably rode a sped bus and they had to buckle you in put a fuckin mussle over your fucking mouth so you don't bite people. They probably put a goddamn helmet on so you don't hit your head. So fuck off.
Fine! Go ahead and comment on this video by insulting someone. I don't see who's going to listen to you. Yeah, we all have different opinions, but to be a jerk to someone on a video comment is quite immature from my perspective.
but then again its YouTube...you'll get this on a lot of comments (eyes roll)
Thanks for posting. I'm in Baton Rouge and we saw similar winds, but not so much water on the streets. Lot's of light poles and trees down, some through people's houses. Lots of damage, but nowhere near what you saw.
It's nearly two years now and I'm just able to start writing about it.
We may be black but we aint dumb. No other city in the United States could have handled that like we did. We are poor, cultural, and Lawd knows we clever enough to survive anywhere on God's green Earth. Once the 350,000 of us who aint ever going back inject that "Get it how U Live" mentality into the other American Communities... You gone loathe the day you laugh at our misery..... T.H.U.G L.I.F.E (The Hate U Gave Little Infants Fukks Everybody)
I live in Ponchatoula, and we still have feelings of grief for those who lost so much during Katrina. Its important that everyone never forget the power of nature. Thanks for posting this.
Not trying to be mean but why would a government build a city under water level? Kinda dumb if you ask me.

New Orleans sits so far below sea level it was bound to happen...

Of course it was. But that level of death and damage was totally preventable.

can anyone say global warming?
chuckerchucker 5 years ago
well you cant blame it all on global warming. we had storms before cars were invented,
angelgirl181 4 years ago
That's true, but you can use that idealology for anything. With El Nino recently and Katrina now, its is hard to compartmentalize like that.
chuckerchucker 4 years ago
Yes that's true. I guess its both reasons.
angelgirl181 4 years ago
In a way, it must be exciting to be in that? To be filming it, but I wonder what they would do if it came to them?
Danznaldo 5 years ago
omg if that happened in slidell then what happen to my house was devastating..
