graphics card, processor, and ram are the 3 core things to upgrade to make a game run better. If you upgrade 1 and let the other 2 suffer, it will bottle neck your upgraded part.

I still don't think that Graphics, some tactics and "Blowupable" terrain makes a game. They replaced about Five races with One! Why didn't they just KEEP all the races? Dumbarse game-developers.

To supress the defensive, I know that it could Possibly be to support content for Expansions. Just so they'll get more Money.

we'd need more specs than just make and model of the system, but more than likely with it being a laptop, the answer is no.

for the future, you need to take into account what OS (how much resource just that eats up is why), RAM, CPU, and video card. those are all the major points. :)

and on a personal note, i NEVER expected DOW2 to be as fun as it actually is. i hated company of heroes - not to say it's a bad game. i went in expecting similar gameplay to dawn of war and got nothing of the sort.

nah chopgr starcraft will prob get more ppl because it is a comp. diff kind of game mode. IT is a rts were u gather resources and build buildings. In dow ii u only can build units and capture resource points. Dow 2 is good but not as good as sc2 if u ask me.

DoW 2 isn't just capturing resource points and building units. If that's what you think it is, then you don't know much about the game at all. I'm not saying that DoW 2 is better than SC2. I agree that they're 2 different games. All I'm saying is that there's more to DoW 2 than just that.

I think nids are a bit op. They can get 4 gaunt squads before most races can enough of anything to compete, and warriors are really hard to kill. And 4 squads of snapsed gaunts can kill any squad, and you can't retreat from it. 2 Warrior squads with adrenal glands make walkers useless and other vehicles useless. And the Carnifex is the best melee walker in the game. You have to really out maneuver and use heavy weapons and nades to put a dent into a good nid force.

man, get 1 suppression fire squad and those gaunts are dead. Plus, all races have good combat units to kill warriors.

ill give u that the carnifex is rlly good but very expensive also. i gotta admit IF WELL USED, the tyranids can be good, but then again, it takes a good player to play them well. The average player gets owned with tyranids.

you can play all those 4 races the only thing is you can only play space marines in campaign mode just like the first DOW...muliplayer actually looks cool too because now your going to need to actually have alot of skill if you want to beat the opponent because you have to use cover more now...should be really interesting

That PC will be in the top tier for graphics. If it can't run DoW 2 on the HIGHEST possible settings, it will run it on SLIGHTLY lower settings than the best.

Im an Eldar player, in DoW and in WH40k, and I can safely say that in DoW, the Eldar fail unless you take FULL advantage of the fact that they can cloak their base: while they will find your main base, if you have even one base built in a random place, they will NEVER find it.

The only other things that the Eldar had going for them were their speed and the Dragon Wagon (Fire Dragons + Falcon).

Given the attention to graphics detail, I rest assured that Dow 2's Eldar have been de-nerfed.

dude then you must really not know eldar seriously eldar are way advanced in tech and when you build avatar you already won. eldar can beat anyone when fully used to their potential by a smart player (tactician) trust me eldar can take on 2 armies with smart tactics and full tech but yeah eldar require patience and the dragon wagon is shit so is dark reaper spamming D:< varietal it howling banshee to skirmish the enemy dark reapers to fire behind them warp spiders to ambush em while they retreat

but if the opponent is smart, by the time you have falcons and an Avatar, he will have grey knights and missile launchers, or the equivalent in any other race.

IG give the Eldar a run for their money in terms of rushing though.

Well, Eldar are really the "finess" race in DoW (as they should be.) They have to be micro-managed heavily in order to be effective. When they are used effectively, they are very, very effective. When used ineffectively, they are very ineffective.

They just take a lot more management than the other races. Unfortunately, in a multiplayer game the player's attention is usually at a premium, so it is hard to give them the kind of micro-managing they need in all the places they need it.

i am untoucheable with eldar, its all about who you align yourself with that can determine an multiplayer victory. (necrons are too slow for rushes and the tau need too much building space to recover from repetitive attacks.

damn man, that can probably run almost ANY game. I think that it would be fair to believe that DoW 2 will run on that system. If it isn't the smoothest game ever, tone the graphics down a little, but you will have few graphics -related worries

Well i gotta tell you guys, i absolutely hated eldar in DOW, but this games so awesome, maybe they made rushing with a gazillion weak die in to shots might as well be cultists type troops a little harder. I mean, isn't it nice to wake up, build your main infantry building, and all of a sudden find your 2 squads swarmed a overwhelmed by 14 squads of xenos, tainted, or the emperors finest?
