It should be noted that the Ruger Redhawk has a longer cylinder as well, which can handle a longer loaded cartridge. Also, the only error in the vid you made was on the Springs. Not all Ruger Revolvers have the single spring. The super redhawk, and the GP series (if I remember right) have a two spring mechanism. Good video though. Please don't take this offensively, just constructive criticism.

I've run some Buffalo Bore 340 gr +P+ loads through mine. When it goes off, the firing line goes quiet for a moment. Also has a 2X scope on it.

At my inside range, I send the target all the way out and get one hole groups with my .44 mag Flat-top Blackhawk (given, the hole is the size of a golf ball). At 100 yards I can hit a 4 in. circle everytime from a weaver stance. What kind of groups are you getting?

In Pennsylvania, nobody is allowed to hunt with semi-autos or even carry semi-autos while hunting (even if you have a CCW permit, you can get a weapons violation charge for carrying a semi-auto while in possession of a hunting license and on public hunting grounds, private property is a different issue). I have one of these with a bobbed barrel at 3.5 inches. It is a major chunk of steel that tames even my seriously hot 44 mag handloads. ...love that blast bubble. Probably my favorite gun, even though the blueing is wearing off, it is still a beauty. Thanks for the vid. By the way: I absolutely hate the super redhawk as it is an ugly blocky stainless gun. Excellent review. I just picked up a used Redhawk with the blued finish that had only been fired once. The previous owner was scared of it. This gun really is a hand cannon. Especially using Buffalo Bore +P+ rounds.

Good vid. But a couple of corrections: Redhawk was originally produced in .44 magnum, stainless steel, 7.5" barrel only. The .357 and .41 mag versions were introdeuced in 1984, along with the 5.5" barrel; .45, and, apparently, blued steel, were introduced sometime later (not sure when). Also, the front cylinder lock-up is not the ejector rod. It's a tab located in the crane, underneath the ejector rod. Cheers.

Great vid! I like the info good highlights of the Ruger Redhawk. I had a Super Redhawk 44. I'll just man up about not manning up. Got rid of it because It was a bit much to get used to. On the bench I was a sweet shot. Off the bench was difficult to be accurate. Also, the recoil was awesome, it was like a bolt of lightening coming out of your hand. I don't care who you are that's a lot of gun.

Too bad it's illegal/expensive to put a stock on the thing otherwise I would still have it. Thanks!
