the only thing I can think of is to check all your ini settings and match them against the ones I've provided in the video description. under examples click on the project 64 link and match your ini against that.
I don't know how much more easy it could get to set it up with all the information I've given plus the ini files in the description, you can just copy those and change the directories and it's done.
I beleive mamewah will only run in either 640x480 or 800x 600....it depends on the layout you use...to get it to run in 800X600 create a layout for 800x600
I have Vista x64 Ultimate, MAMEWah! exe doesn't work. I get error telling me to download and install system files. After I installed I still go same error. In your video I saw that you downloaded the system files but you did NOT explain how to install it. I did install it but still get same error message.
there is a link in the video description for using mamewah in vista. just click the link and read the instructions on that page. In the video i explained that you run the setup.bat file, but this only works in xp or earlier. I strongly suggest using xp for running any games or emulators as they run a lot smoother and faster in xp.
When I create my new folder in config and run mamewah it doesn't show the folder name in the mamewah console/platform list as shown in your vid, and when it creates the ini's they are blank. I tired to copy and edit the znes one but that didnt work out.
okay I don't know why they did this, but in the new version of mamewah they have set it up to automatically have groups, you'll notice a few ini files that are named console, arcade and computer. You can either add your emulator to one of these lists by adding the name of the folder in the ini or create a new ini named all and add all of you emultor folders names in there. There's probably a way to just get rid of lists completely but I haven't fiddled with the new version yet.
as long as you add the name of the folder to one of the ini files and make sure you are in the group in the emulator by hitting he number 2 to get the menu and going to groups and using the number 1 key to select while you're doing so, you should be able to pick the group you added the folder to and the name should show up and once you exit again the ini will have the text in it. sorry for any problems...if you don't want to deal with this just get version 1.62 final.
acutally you could just remove the group ini files completely...I just tried it and it works. If you remove the group ini files you will just get the list with everything that has a folder in the config folder.
Thank you! You're the first to show us how it works! As CzarXezo said is not easy to start with and I talked for myself... I hope you'll explain a little bit more how to setup the emulator.
I've posted a link to a website which tells you how to do this in the video description....check it out by clicking more info on the description in the top right hand side of this page.
what OS are you using, you should just be able to double click the setup.bat file and it only takes a second(It might even be too fast for you to see whats happening). But once you have double clicked setup.bat you should be good to continue on with the rest.
I posted a link to a site which has a solution to using mamewah with vista....it's in the video description/ video info on the top. click view more and the link is right there
thanks for the comment, I haven't messed with any other frontends yet but if I do I'll post a tutorial on this(but I think most of the other frontends require less learning to use)
Everytime I click mamewah after putting a new folder to put in another emulator in the config. folder like you said it gives me the 2 ini. and game folder only that the ini. are empty inside? When i click the mamewah after i put the new folder in it says arcade in the top right?
you have to input the ini info...the folders that are included with mamewah have examples....just copy and paste the examples and set up the directories. I've posted examples in the video description as of now. make sure you watch all 3 parts too.
mate i ,ve tryed settin up a project 64 from the start and for some reason when i go back into mamewah its comin up arcade at the top right.?any help
