don't know why but this music makes me think about little girl with her dad in the circus. they are playing cheerfully but suddenly some policemen want to arrest the dad. girl is crying but she can't manage with the policeman who is holding her. the whole scene in slow motion. i have no idea why do i think about this scene every single time i hear this track. i adore Yann Tiersen.

i personally think the video is great...and it fits with the music (my opinion). this song makes me think of simple things in life...and a simple breakfast is one of them...as for the "american" breakfast..im from romania (middle europe) and we eat eggs too :)). cant say its tipical american food, its just tipical food :)). thanks for posting, i love the song and the video :D

i think that's a very bad video. you haven't understand what the song was trying to communicate. the sound is soft, delicate, instead the video is telling a daily action, not so much soft with eggs, but the point isn't the content of the breakfast but the meaning of the song. it's only my opinion and it can be totally wrong.

People~Music doesn't have a culture. Music is a mirror of life, so if it happens to be that an American (like myself) enjoys this music in the way he/she knows how, then let it be. The song (though quite versatile in meaning) is about happiness, the joy of those little moments that you don't notice until you hear a song like this. Yann Tiersen would agree that you are making a fuss over nothing. Enjoy life as it is, be happy!

The way Americans eat simply doesn't fit to french music. I love Yann Tiersen's music, but this video just misfits. In France (and the rest of Europe) people eat baguette or croissants with confiture instead of fatty fried eggs.

Are you from Europe? Because I am, and I can tell you that not all the people in Europe eat croissants. I eat every morning a slice of bread, a lot of my friends eat cereals. And Britain is known for its breakfast with a lot of eggs and saucages and all you can imagine. What my point is, you don't have to speak for whole Europe and especially not in a comment on a really well made video. And besides, I don't think the maker of the video wanted to show how French people eat at all.

@calmaritube I think the video fits the song pretty well. And I'm european too. I eat my Baguette to whatever I want. You should try to soak slices of baguette in a mixture of milk, eggs and sugar and then fry them with little oil. Tastylicious. And maybe a little more european with the same incredients as fried eggs with bagguette.

Maybe your opinion just comes from prejudices against americans. Even though you say you can't stand prejudices.
