  • Can somebody make a video on how to change all that on a camera

  • or just head to the pirate bay and download photoshop...

  • black light?!?!?!? D:

  • Do u take a lot of pictures and put it together or just write then after Ure done take a pic

  • I love this tutorial!! I just had one question, how do you put a person into the shot?

  • I believe you need to "obligatory search engine reference" your camera's ability to run open shutter

  • I have a Canon Rebel T3, I set my ISO to 100. And my shutter speed to 1/30. But It's not taking the picture? All it's doing is focusing and then nothing happens. Any help?

  • name the song???

  • I have a Nikon D40x & how to you fricken set the iso to 100, set the aperature, & the shutter speed? Please help. :(

  • i just go to scene, then set the candle scene, and it shoots just perfectly ^^

  • What is this little music tune? Loved it

  • what is the background music?

  • correct me if i'm wrong, but to have a picture where no person can be seen you would just start outside the shot and then run in and draw, right?

  • Anyone know the name of the song?

  • I just did it with my digital camera !! Canon Powershot :D

  • @Indianmalujl

what setting did you use, cause i have a powershot and want to try it :)

  • What i dont understand is how a camera can take like 10 seconds and put it in ONE picture.

  • @1john1992 When the camera shutter is open the camera just keeps taking whatever light is coming towards it and layers it one on top of the other on the same image. It's kind of like painting a picture and then painting over parts of it again and again.

  • @1john1992 hey dumbass, cant you read? it says in the intro: set your shutter speed from 5 to 30 secs.... which means that your camera's obturator will still be opened for a while after you take the picture instead of just a fraction of a second

  • @windowshacker09 I wasn't asking how you do it i was asking how it works you fucking noob.

  • song????

  • can we do it with a d90???

  • For people with limited cameras, try Night/Tripod/Fireworks mode.

  • i hava a casio Exilim digital camera and has ISO 50,100,200 y 400 and also has other option that say ISO ON /OFF, so i set the camera first on ISO 100 i take the pic and FUCK nothing happens then i put the iso on and set the camera again and ISO 100 and fuck nothing happend again. how can i set the SHUTTER SPEED?? HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

  • Nice! :D I want to try this!!

  • when you create the picture, will it only show the position you're in at the very end? none of the movements in the middle?

  • I dont understan how can u first take a photo and then put what u wrote on the same photo, can u explain that to me? :D

  • @MontseLADYBUG Well, first, you take a photo first with flash. That will put your face and body cleary on the pictures, because flash illuminate your body. You are "bright enough for the camera to see you". Next, you draw anything you want and keep moving to avoid yourself captured. Just the light in your hand, which is bright enough for the camera to capture.

  • how is it possible to make a photo and after that paint with the light in one time? in one mode?

  • @Mobbsbloodmoney manual mode or shutter priority. Set the shutter time to "bulb", activate flash, all ready to go. This off course applies when you have one person taking the picture and the other person writing. When alone just take a long exposure and set the flash to "rear-curtain-sync". That way you can write and take the pose just before the timer runs out. Just experiment with those options and you'll get the hang of it :)

  • @ThaTyger Hey, thank you very much for your information. I tried it and really got some results, but i still have to practice a lot.

This were some great pieces of advice...

  • @Mobbsbloodmoney you're welcome, glad it helped out. Just play around with it for a while, like everything practice makes perfect :)

  • Song name please??

  • Your Mum is a fucking babe.

  • I Got Blinded I Don't Know How Many Times (:

  • how to set the iso and the shutter in digital camera? please..

  • cool

  • When I get a good camera I'll be running around randomly A LOT

  • How do you make the light around the person?

  • Thanks! I tried everything, but your helped me finally do it!

  • What song please?

  • my cyber shot can do it! i just found out

  • my camera cant do it....smh

  • whats thesong called?? realey cool

  • The name of the song???

  • What's the song you used at the beginning called? It sounded epic.

  • wait so it takes only ONE COMPLETE SHOT? AND HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN IT IS DONE TAKING THE PICTURE?

  • @gearsdan If you listen carefully you can her the shutter close.

  • "or you can run around randomly" LOL

  • OH SWEET!

  • how do i find my aperture setting? and how long does that iso setting give me to write

  • Can I do it with a Canon 1000 D?

  • @briggyjudith

hey yeah it should be fine whats important is the adjustable shutter speed aperture and ISO with all the settings such as M,AUTO etc :) unless you dont know how to use it which I highly doubt you wouldnt know how to :) so have fun and good luck! :)

  • @shakaku123

    Thank you so much!! :)

  • Hi, I have a camera that has 'bulb exposure'. This apparently lets you keep the shutter open for as long as you like. Would you recommend this? I tried setting the exposure at F30 but this only lasted a second...

  • @OmegaRob3rt did you try at "30 just before bulb? that should do it for 30 secs :)

  • Hey can someone pleasee help me??? Whe I try to do this, the light streaks in the picture perfectly. But when I try to take a picture of myself and thenn wite stuff like you did in the video, I come out blurred and transparent. Please help me?):

  • Ossim

  • can you do it with any camera???

  • how do you do this with a nikon d60?

  • it works with a cyber shot sony dsc-s930?? the iso speed says somethinf like 400

    and 100 is the less

    fuck im a lame D:

  • @kariiniiz i have that exact same camera.... and im trying to do this myself as well

  • Light graffiti is so fun!

  • sweeeet

  • THANK YOU FOR THIS. A REALLY, REALLY USEFUL VIDEO :)

  • omg thanks I've been searching for a tutorial like this for FOREVER

  • very cool bahut vadiya

  • Can this possibly be done with the Nikon Coolpix S570? This looks really cool and I'd like to try it :3

  • wait i dont get it...how many seconds do u have to draw smth?

  • 1:40 i like that one XD

  • can u do dat wit any camera?

  • @jobobakodis any camera that you can change the exposure time.

  • This is awesome & inspiring. Thank you so much! Well done.

  • Einen Link zu einem Deutschsprachigen Forum zum Thema Light graffiti findet ihr in meinem Profil. Heute erst gestartet! Seid alle herzlich willkommen

  • Did you have the camera on flash??

  • what song is playing through out?

  • how do u get a person to show up clearly in the picture like you did with the woman with the halo?

  • Can I do it with this camera?

    Sony Cybershot DSCW35?

  • @imPricless3

I'm afraid not. I have w80 and there u can't change time of shutter speed and this is the main factor that makes Light Graffiti.

  • i dont get the part where you were sitting there and ur name was above ur head.... did you take the picture and sit there for 3 seconds THEN start drawing???. i dont get how you got your body to show up for that but then the rest of it ur body wasnt there

  • @okboy100 the camera is going to zone in on the light when hes writing it as the shutter is open to light so when he stopped moving and turned the torch off, he just sat underneath roughly where the writing was done and posed and camera turned off, pretty cool bananas!!! hope this helps.

  • you can do it with any kind of camera as long as you can alter the shutter speed i like to do it with a old school film camera i have

  • lol... my camera doesnt have an adjustable shutter speed. so i just moved very very fast in my video.

  • how do you make things move without showing a hand?

ive been trying 4 a while. you did it in ur video. (i know its not magic)

  • @olivehead17 u cud either take pics like claymation or take video push pause move it push pause and repeat

  • dude that is unique can you tell in detail about Lammert

    for the camera settings

  • can you use any camera or does it have to be a specific camera?

  • for making the spaces between the letters, do you need to turn the light off? also, do you need to write letters backwards so you can see them normally in the picture?

  • @EnragedBannana yeah you would have to turn the light off for spaces, and yes you would need to write backwards.

  • @EnragedBannana yes and yes

  • grrr i hv no shuuter speed :(

  • can i do it with a S700 Finepix Fujifilm???

  • my camera is digital, has ISO but it only says auto.... :(

  • @daisydoodle86 I just tried it, and it kinda failed, I felt bad.

  • @daisydoodle86 most likely it has an "advanced" mode in which you get access to options like ISO settings and shuttertimes. Most standard digital camera's have an "easy mode" option that doesn't allow you to alter anything >_<

  • @daisydoodle86 you should try changing it to program mode then maybe you can change it

  • @daisydoodle86 Set the shooting mode to manual and then you can select the iso.

  • i dont realy understand that?! what i must do?!

  • thanks!!

  • Nice tutorial :)

    Thanks for share

  • no u cant do it with a digicam ....it only can be done wth d slr series or with d camera with iso series

  • @anshuugreat Even if i have a compact camera with shutter speed at 15"? Please, i like your graffitis alot and i want to make some too with my compact camera (Canon IXUS 90 IS). :)

  • @anshuugreat cam it be done with the SAMSUNG HZ15W???

  • @anshuugreat was it really that hard to type out the word digital? And you can't do it with a "digicam" Funny, The D in DSLR, means digital... making it a digital camera.

  • @anshuugreat yes you can, but the exposure doesn't last as long with cheaper ones.

  • @anshuugreat i did it with digital camera :) anyway thnx good tutorial my cam is sony dsc n1

  • @anshuugreat it can even be done with an iphone :)

  • @anshuugreat I can do it with my ge a1455. there's a slow shutter setting in my digicam.

  • cool....can a digicam does that???

  • Can i do It with a lumix zs3?

  • I wonder how to do this in DSC-W220

  • wooow ! !

  • Can I use a Cannon HF20 camcorder?

  • great work mate

  • dude! this is amazing! i just did it, and it worked!! thanks for the tutorial!

  • what kind of camera should be used?

  • omg just that?

  • thx it was totally awsome...

  • wtf?!! Whoa! This is awesome, it's the first time i've heard of this...how is it possible? (O_O)

  • the camera absorbs light and because the camera is actually taking the picture for about 10-40 seconds it allowd the light to smudge. its actually quite fun :P

  • @BensCrazyVideos - Thanks for the info dude! :D

  • how do i change the shutter speed?

  • for some reason..i just cant seem to get people to show up in the picture..the light shows up along with the background..but thats about it

  • Can you people tell me what you think of mine??? check my channel

  • can you do light graffiti with any camera?

  • Any camera with slow aperture speed options or modes (SCENE modes sometime have that even though you can't set it manually) will do.

  • i think we only do with DSLR

  • Does it work with the Nikon Coolpics camera?

  • It works if you cycle through scene modes, you might have something that has to do with dark spots or stars, settings for those subjects usually have low aperture speeds. If you have that, then you can.

  • hwo can i use my mobile phone to do this???

  • no, you need a reflex camera

  • @varsamia no! you CAN'T use your mobile phone... -.-'

  • can you give me a tip how to combine it with a video ??

i mean make a viedo lights grafiti...

  • can a fuji film fine pix j38 do the light graffiti too? im trying but it wont seem to work

  • THANK YOU :D

  • where can i get those LED lights from?

  • i used my digital cameras "fireworks" mode. i tried writing things backwards, then i finally figured out taht i should use a marker taht bleeds a lot, write the word, then flip teh page,. hope it helps.

  • how can you get a picture of this where the light movement shows but you (the person) are shown in one still pose?

  • The person has to stay very still. A lot of movement makes it so that you are almost invisible.

  • Which is sometimes the point.

  • je cherche la musique qu'on entend au début

    elle est très entrainante

Could you please tell me what is music at the beginning of the video ?

  • What do you call this: 0:25? Where can I buy?

  • Little LED "keychain" flashlights are available everywhere, and they're pretty cheap. Look for them as impulse buys near cash registers at petrol stations and at dollar stores, etc.

  • when you take the 2nd picture then you cut the lights with a edition program? or how do you do?

    Please answer

  • The pictures come out exactly as you see them with no editing necessary. The camera's shutter is open from the time you press the button until the timer runs out. The initial flash captures the scene (in this case, the guy kneeling on the ground) and then any additional light gets "added" to the picture. You can only do this in the dark!

  • ok, you have a little time to draw the lights.......

but the guy who draw, how don´t apears in the photo? because is all in the dark?

  • how much do camera's usually run for? im new at this thing

  • yea you need a good camera like the one the guy was using looked like a cannon,i never tryed this on a regualr camera but its pretty easy and fun

  • i would suggest the Canon PowerShot SX10 IS, its sort of a simpler DSLR, and is still easy to use, it runs at about $350 but it is a GREAT buy.

  • which loop....?

  • hey how do you take these pictures and not get the person to show up in the picture?

  • Dont use flash or stay in the same place for a long time.

  • Because its on a long exposure and your not standing still you wont get picked up, but because the iso is high, it is more sensitive to light so the light will get picked up.

  • song at the beginning??

  • its a loop from garage band not a song.

  • I was trying to do this earlier today but I couldn't get it right. I was trying to get a picture of my with a heart next to it, but I kept coming out blurry. Can someone tell me how I can make it so I don't look blurry?

  • Put something/someone where you are going to stand and focus on that using autofocus or manual focus. Then turn autofocus off and set the delay on your cam. Go and stand where the camera had focussed.

    Should work.

  • whats the song name.

  • thanks for the tutorial.. it really helped!

  • hey can u do this with a digital camera?????

or do u know how to change the shutter speed on a camera?

  • You cant use just a point and shoot digital camera. You need a SLR camera or just any camera where you may adjust the exposure and the iso

  • Comment removed

  • Hey I have an olympus c-740 and a nikon d50, idk how to set the exposure times, anyone know? I did google but I don't understand

  • Possibly you shouldn't be owning a digital SLR then if you can't figure out something that simple. Exposure time is generally noted by number then a quotation mark if the value is in seconds, otherwise it will be a fraction which represents a fraction of a second. make sure the camera is in Manual (M) or Shutter Priority (Tv) mode to be able to change exposure time.

  • my camera goes to ISO 80 would that work better tan ISO 100?

  • You can do it with any camera. You have to set it to shutter priority mode then adjust the shutter speed to however you want it. Preferably about 10 seconds plus.

  • you sound like naota from FLCL!! :DDD

  • where is the giant glowing penis?

  • omg. i am immediately going to go outside and try that. AWESOME idea, thanks dude!

  • can this be done with any camera?

  • can anyone explain how certain backlighting and/or other light sources dont expose the person who is actually painting with light? is there any way to reduce your bodies exposure?

  • wear dark clothes, dis will make harder u to apaear

  • move quickly dont let the light hit you
