  • Absolutely bad ass !

  • Great work. On one of my VAWTs To run the wire up to the stator I used a hollow threaded rod that is used for light fixtures. You can find them in the light and fan section at Lowes or Homedepot.

  • @Aceman307 Thanks! Always looking for a good lead on unusual material. I'll check it out next time I'm in the hardware store.

  • my favoraite part was when you placed the cap on to cover the baerring.

    great work bud.

  • Just curious, when you drill metal do you put any oil on it, or just do it dry? I usually use oil, but sometimes all that does is give me burning oil.

  • @sjh7132 I usually use a little 30 W oil; a couple drops. This time I used a couple drops of trombone slide oil because it was handy. That seemed to work well. :-)

  • Stunning work again.

You keep amazing me every single time

    Can'twait for the next video

    Greetings from Belgium

  • @rikkiesix Thanks! I hope all is well over there.

  • @Caleb6543 All is good here my friend

Soon we ( my uncle and i ) will try to rebuild a alternator to a generator.

I'l make a video about that.

    Greetings

    Erik

  • That is brilliant!! Looking forward to more progress reports.

  • nice work Caleb ... are you going to use a hollow shaft to feed the stator winding connections through? ... looking forward to the completion

  • @helpmonkey I'd like to. The problem I'm having is that the DOM tubing is 0.002" to 0.006" oversized. Ball bearings do not fit over it (unless you press very hard) and if I use bronze bushings, I have to open them up a little with a Dremel tool. Perhaps the tubes can be run through a centerless grinder and taken down to 0.499" to 0.500" in diameter. (Ore pulled through a die) Another approach is to use keyed shafting. The stator wires might fit through the keyway.

  • and when you are going to generate the power with this nice Roter.???

  • @Heart111ful I have to make the stator yet, but I think that should be ready early next week. Then its time for the wind turbine part. That might be a week or so after that. :-)

  • @Caleb6543 please also make a tutorial video like this about stator, and its connections to the circuit. thanks.

  • @Heart111ful Okay. I'll do that. :-)

  • Nice!
