    - Jam in Db

-2.08 Shout! Mixture of my favorite stuff!

  • That second selection was some good old fashioned marching music. Let us stand all over the building!

  • I take a bow, I hope me and my son will jam like this a few years from now

  • Well all you have to do is buy your son one of those short sets... start playing, and listen to see if he follows you. If he even makes an attempt... get READY!

  • I appreciate your really good technique. And, the spirit just flows through your music.

  • Hey... thanks for the compliment!

  • to LAKISIA. what exactly is a COGIC sound? why can't it just be skillfully anointed hammond organ playing?

  • Man, you make this old timer sound like a huge orchestra, and i can't believe your son's chops! Family jam

  • oh my! good stuff!

  • Play Cousin Charles! Thats that VIRGINIA sound...oh how its a fading memory. The young catz comn up now dont play with any feeling just disonnant chording all over the place. I miss u man!

  • You ain't neva lied & that's b/c a lot of them just playin chords like you said & not "music"!!!!! I can always tell within the first few seconds in most cases if a person can read music who is playing or just chording & making up stuff as they go along b/c when you have been properly trained & can read, there are just certain chords that "hurt your ears" b/c they "break the rules" so-to-speak & I especially hate chording when they trying to play a hymn...please don't mess up my hyms...LOL!!!!!

  • Miss you all too. It looks like I'm a visitor to Virginia these days.

  • Praise The Lord!!!!!1 Now that's the way a hammond should be played

  • I really like your style. is this the A105, C3, or CV model?

  • Amazing, you must post more of you and your son playing! I was up dancing all over this house!

  • Thanks for the compliment. I will do that before my boys get too tired of me!

  • Awesome!!

  • i like that man!

  • I've had my Hammond CV about a week now and I love it. They are great instruments. Wouldn't trade mine for the most valuable Hammond B3...and that's the truth!

  • I hear ya! A lot of folks are misinformed. Most organist I know don't even use the percussion. Honestly, the A-100, B-3, C-3, and RT-3 are basically identical, with the exception of their individual nuances. This CV was at the Carousel Museum nearby. They just said come and get it! What a blessing for me!

  • A free Hammond...NICE! Unfortunately mine wasn't free and I spent about $500 in shipping just to get it here, but it was worth it.

  • Yeah. Most of the time, if it is free, that's what you get! My Hammond was free, and only three black drawbars work on the whole darn thing! I want to get it fixed, but there isn't anyone out there that knows anything about it. It is a Hammond 7182 Cougar Spinet.

  • Those models are often not worth what it cost to have them repaired. You could probably purchase a CV for as much as it would cost to repair a spinet @ $500 or less.

    Dr. Kemp

  • True... seeing as I got this one for free, I think that I've done ok.

  • 'come and get it'

I wish someone who owns a Hammond CV would say something like that to me :)

    Anyway, great playing!

Keep up the good work! Playing and keeping the Hammond organs alive, that's great!
