  • Soooo epic!!! I wish more music today sounded like this!

  • right at the end, i started singing kashmir

  • i don't know why, but for me, Jimmy always great on white summer....

  • @drnapls2 obvious troll is obvious : p

  • I had the privilege of seeing Jimmy in Kansas City many years ago. There are no words to describe my experience. Spiritual.

  • i loved seeing him play this on the albert hall dvd... 10 years later.. still amazing

  • Jimmy Page plays and sound like sitar........indian man too.....so great so great

  • love love love!

  • Jimmy Page has the ability to control Chuck Norris with his guitar solos.

  • so this is the start of "Kashmir"

  • This version really sucks compared to the Royal Alberth Hall one...

  • Love how this goes right into Kashmir...What a god Page is.

  • Nah, Jimmy travelled back and listened once again to Bert Jansch et all. Love Jimmy Page but this is a take on one of his guitar heroes and he has said so

  • no tuning is celtic its jsut tuning....

  • zeppelin should have not gone into the

    80s

  • @syrensoundz going into the 80s would be kind of hard if your drummer dies..

  • Where is the rest I have a box set and on album one it's called whight summer/black mountain side and its 8:01 long

  • that would be the studio version from their album "Coda"

  • DADGAD tuning- very Celtic

  • And then he stands up and plays Kashmir.

    Outstanding.

  • no drugs for Zappa....

  • yeah Zappa! And Jimmy Page

  • I wish Jimmy and Zep would've stayed more how they were back in the early 70's. Their greatness almost wore them out. It's just said to see Jimmy so frail from the drugs. I would've liked to see what they could've done without the drugs and alcohol and given another 5 years.

  • You know Sam good buddy you have a really valid point there. What is is it with all geniuses or rock stars or genius rock stars? They seem to be infused with artificial chemicals. From Beethoven to Mozart to Percy Shelley to John Keats to Elvis Presley to Mike Jackson, to Jimmy Page........................... The list is endless. (Actually an exception wwould appear to be Alice Cooper!!). Do the drugs fire brain neurons and create the art?? I wonder. But such a pity. They also destroy the men.

  • another exception would be the motor city madman ted nugent, who claims to have never taken any drugs while being a musician. but i agree its like most of the greats use the drugs as a muse. . .

  • but fucking great, nevertheless

  • i can play this on guitar but not as good as jimmy and they went back in 77 mode lol greattttttt

  • I was there! fucking quality!!

  • This is the second night on 11th August.

  • Jimmy Page travelled back in time and was kidnapped by Moses, and forced into a guitar battle with God. Jimmy Page won.

  • blasphemy

  • @seanozep Well said man well said, LONG LIVE THE ZEPP

  • @seanozep pretty easy to beat a fictional character ;)

  • how can one battle himself?

  • the heroin didn't effect his playing too badly. thankfully

  • I don't like this version as much chiefly because Bonzo didn't add the great percussion part that he played on the Albert Hall performance.

  • this is black mountain side too

  • ..Led Zep the greatest band ever!! Really cant see any better in the last 30 years!!

  • @mjd775 and you wont see any in the next 50.

  • i like the bit from 0:00 to 5:51

  • hah funny

  • lol

  • @liam373 WHAT. you dont like the last second?

  • @aczeppelindc2908 no because thats when it ends =( lol

  • @liam373 dude, 5:52 is like the best part

  • he played this live with the yard birds too

  • A lot of the playing from this concert was pretty sloppy, but this song is actually pretty good. Where do you get these videos?

  • man that was kinda sloppy....albert hall version so much better!!!

  • I agree the Alber Hall version ROCKS!

  • albert hall best one, this one has an awesome intro to kashmir though.

  • That'd be awesome if there was a Jimmy Page signature Dano 59 DC. xP

  • wow.

jimmy page is the greatest guitarist to walk the earth.

i honestly dont know which version of white summer i like better, knebworth, or royal albert hall.

i think this one is better though, because all of his hammer ons, and slides are so clean. he doesn't mis a note.

    and the harmonics are sick.

led zepelin will forever be the greatest band thats ever walked the earth.

  • i would say albert hall is better but jimmy page IS THE GREATEST GUITARIST IN THE UNIVERSE and you are awesome for agreeing

  • I love Led Zeppelins music but honestly i dont like the way Jimmy played that day,it sounds very dirty,Jimmys got a very unique sound, but i think he wasnt very focused on that day.

    Anyway Zeppelin Rules.

  • I liked the version of White Summer live in Royal Albert Hall; 1971 better.

  • It's probably because at this time he was high on heroin.

  • why wasnt this on the dvd set

  • I find it all quite tragic in a way this was page's swan song

  • no offence to any zeppelin fan the song remains the same was one of the bad dvd's. i wish it would have just shown us the regular stuff instead of editing it like the song remains the same(song) audio is different than the video. and like at home and stuff except bow solo no quater and the begining and some of moby dick isnt bad but everything else was bad like rain song it was beautiful but i would rather watch mr page good song

  • The end is the best

  • royal albert hall is way better

  • Can't tell if this is the first night or second @ Knebworth.

In their defense ( Led Zep ) had big technical problems

as in the PA was cutting out on the first night. I know as

I was there. But my friend who was with me also went the

second night too and informed me that they got their act together.

But no I don't think the pharmaceutical were helping.

  • The Royal Albert Hall version is better, and so is Jimmy when he's not on Smack.

  • try listening to this on 10 grams of shrooms

you find yourself lost in an abyss of somesort of desert

  • don't tell me you tried...

  • pisses me off plenty that this rendition isn't on the bloody DVD!

  • man the dvd has shit all on it

  • They're still the best dvds ever made.

  • oh yea they just dont hav much on em

  • if anyone needs the CORRECT tab for this send me u e-mail, i made a tab for the middle section of white summer..or the "fast" part .

  • My absolute favorite from Jimmy Page, makes me full in love with him all over again 'sigh'

  • i like the version from the albert hall better. i think that version just sounds bigger and brighter and sounds more intense.

  • My favorite solo xxx

  • looks like someones hooked up on heroine

  • sounds like someones a dipshit....

  • Someone Is on heroine: YOU ARE, YOU COCKSUCKER!

  • put kashmir from this same uploader on another tab an inmediatley after this finishes turn to the other tab and hear kashmir for a trully amazing moment....

  • Hey Man...

    Danelectros are badass guitars...

  • YEAH! JP only used Danelectros for white summer cuz of their distinct sound

  • cool

  • actually no he didn't he also used it for In My Time Of Dying, with the slide it's wicked you should check it out.

  • There are four guitars that Jimmy Page is known for. His number one Les Paul, his EDS-1275, his brown Telecaster with the B-Bender, and this cheesy Danelectro.

  • Awesome. Some of Page's best if you ask me.

  • cool distortion.

  • Hey how bout the bits of what would become Midnight Moonlight by the Firm in here...cool!!
