Buy a D2, you can get a 1997-2002 for like $5-15, depending on the mileage. The D2 still had some spit considering it only had the 4.2L in it. Good luck though finding a manual. If the automatic goes out you'll be looking at $2500-$5000. The ZF 5HP24 are a bitch to fix, or so I've been told. Watch the S8 chase scene from Ronin, with Robert De Niro. Pretty bad ass D2 in there.

I have to agree with Bergich that Audi rulezzzz but I will have to disagree with his comments about the S8. I had the chance to spend a day on a race track with the new 3.2 TT, S6, S8 and RS4. Due to the fact that the S8 has many of it's components aluminum, it is actually much more nimble and fun to drive than the S6.
