  • I wouldn't go so far as to say talentless....

    They do, try.

  • hahaha LESBIANS. 8P =VH=

  • -this song makes me feel funny. don't know why

  • They really played this live tonight?? AWESOME!!

  • @Saebeck32 1st time since like'80

  • Comment removed

  • Great song for VAN HALEN from their second album. 4 ****

  • I love the guitar intro in the beginning.

  • @koryclarke1991 Me too, ever since 1979 when I was 17...

  • Awesome song!!!

  • If your even feeling down just turn up some VH nice and loud and see if that don't turn you around.

  • Classic! Looking forward To VH's new record A Different Kind of Truth. Van Halen is back motherfuckers!

  • VH 1 and 2 were great albums. Nothing touched them in the later years.

  • Should they bring back Michael Anthony into VH, Wolfgang could help with the keyboards and rhythm guitar whenever they perform keyboard-oriented songs like Jump.

  • Sounds like a toy piano... Or the rugrats theme.

  • No matter how I feel, that intro always makes me happy

  • 'Fair Warning' and 'Women and Children First' are rivals. The same thing with 'Van Halen' and '1984'.

  • @StuffedGames yeah i think van halen 2 & diver down are fitting really well together in some way

  • @StuffedGames That statement you just made is a diarrhea dump in my ear

    that is all

  • @ClassicShotMK3 What do you mean?

  • @ClassicShotMK3 Oh nothing, just that I think 84 is the worst Roth album (that or diverdown) and in no way comparable to VH1

  • like the props to MA..not a great bassist but he was key in the amazing harmonies...they really do put these tracks over the top......thnx for posting my 2nd fav VH ...after the Mighty 'Secrets'.....her feet are making tracks in the winter snow......

  • Michael Anthony was already an established front-man voice BEFORE he was in VAN HALEN, but NO ONE KNOWS THAT!!!!! He is MOSTLY the reason VH's harmonizing on just about EVERY hit or good song sounds the way it does, which is exceptional!!!!!

  • this is eddie's true tapping on the guitar, awesome vintage rock man!

  • Actually Michael did most of the harmonies. He could have just sang as a front man if he wanted to. The guy has a great voice.

  • Top 5 VH albums.

    1. VH I

    2. 1984

    3. VH II

    4. Fair Warning

    5. WACF

  • @NathanRyanAllen My Top 5 Roth albums:

    1. WaCF

    2. VH1

    3. 1984

    4. VH2

    5. Diver Down

  • @DTPVH good selection, except for diver down. Wasn't a big fan of that one (just my opinion)

  • @DTPVH replace 84' w/ FW an' youre gold

  • @ClassicShotMK3 Not really a big fan of FW.

  • @DTPVH i dont get how people couldnt be a big fan of FW i mean it was their one album where they strayed away from the upbeat stuff and went to a dark place. hell dirty movies is like fuckin metal.

  • @frankenstrat25 I personally don't think it (the album as a whole) was that dark, though it certainly wasn't upbeat

  • @ClassicShotMK3 well im just sayin like compared to the other albums it was dark. maybe the only songs that werent dark were like so this is love maybe hear about it later and sinners swing. 1984 was actually a good album. but panama hot for teacher jump. theyre all shit. house of pain is a fuckin master piece girl gone bad top jimmy. love them

  • @DTPVH But your a fan of eighty fo?

  • @ClassicShotMK3 Yeah.

  • towerycandace and phoneman76 no, all the albums from VH to maybe OU18 are good, only a couple from OU are good but ummm yeah, can't really judge.

  • fair warning and vh2 were the best of the best

  • There's VHI and 1984. All the others are just above average

  • A great solo. No shredding

  • underrated song!

  • Eddie Van Halen, must be related to Ludwig Van Beethoven...because that intro was just outstanding .

  • love those drums,sue

  • Without Eddies guitar to this song it would not have been a great song at all.

  • im gonna puke on you, at noon if you dont gimme back my spandex tutu i left in the smoking area. goof. we got a gig at becker's milk ,right by the frozen beef pie-eyes.

  • does anyone elses jaws hurt from hiting the ground??

  • @greendayfan15008 EVH the hurter of both male and female jaws alike.... Great album :)

  • Wish they would do this song in concert sometime! one of the most underrated songs rhey've ever done!

  • Beautiful!!!!!

  • This is the best intro to a song I have ever heard. I can not stop listening to it!

  • @MidnightRambler73 You are so right !

  • I always thought it was odd that Mike and Eddie were never given "back-up vocal" credits on the album cover liner notes when the vocal harmonies were such a huge part of the band's sound. It obviously wasn't Dave's voice overdubbing the chorus vocal harmonies.

  • @Fraevo10 Dude... accurately, it woulda been Michael (FIRST and foremost), and actually Alex. Eddie really wasn't much of a singer. But hells.... who could fault the guy?? He's was doing all that other AWESOME shit on his guitar... that NO one.... had EVER.... done before.

But, you nail it on the harmonies that MAKE so much of the signature VH music.

    Peace

  • @MidnightRambler73 agreed!

  • That 70's show REALLY missed the mark parodying these dudes. =)) I know they were in the last seasons but that's when they really should've socked it to the status quo going all out here *and* Diff'rent Strokes. Oh well! Randy was a great character but he didn't have a brother. =P

  • th0se 8 dislikes were old fat chicks XD

  • Van Halens best album no doubt about it

  • oh this is a little bit of rip of a zombies song."maybe after he's gone" on odessey and oracle. haha no wonder i liked it.

  • i feel like this sounds like another song

  • Awesome!

  • this is jason an this $

  • DAVID LEE ROTH KICKS SAMMY HAGARS ASS!!!

  • Beautiful intro.... Nobody writes music with this much soul anymore.

  • My heart......

    You're breaking my heart......

Girl, you better start thinking something REAL

  • isso em 1979 .... quantos anos luz Eddie estava a frente do seu tempoo ...lol

  • @marcioquinteiro MANY!

  • The awesomeness of Ed - beautiful intro and great song/album

  • best intro ever!

  • @LBhype Lesbianism. isn't there a bit where he is saying to a woman that if she wants a woman just as much as he does...?

  • O U T S T A N D I N G ~ DLR

  • is this song about what I think it is about?

  • @xarzu haha what do you think its about??

  • PLEASE STOP BREAKING MY HEART!!!!!!!!!=(

  • For me the first album is the best

  • @NKE38500 i like the songs on this album better,

  • yeppers, we chicks are fickle! ;o)

  • not convinced? try light up!

  • 7 people are gay (men in love) and are jealous there isnt a song about them...

  • @1977BanditTransAM yes there is o.O "Baby" by Justin Bieber.

  • this is song is one of the great one!!!! and so true.

  • You will NEVER find a talent like this again. Just think of ALL the music these guys put out. Awesome music. At least eveybody has a chance to hear it these days and become a fan.

  • @rd80schild. True statement and well said. Van Halen and Led Zeppelin are the two best rock bands of all time. All others fall short of the magic and chemistry that those two achieved.

  • all these blond hared women, that chase after me. i like black haired women.

  • VH should've released this as a single. It had so much potential to be the breakthrough hit for VH which didn't come until "Jump" topped the charts. "Dance The Night Away" peaked at #15 & "Beautiful Girls" made the lower reaches of the Hot 100 Pop Singles Chart. But "Women In Love" had enough to be a bona fide Top 10 hit. I would've picked it over "Beautiful Girls" any day of the week. I really think this one would've trumped "Dance The Night Away." Wish VH released it as a single.

  • Lots of memories

  • BEST INTRO EVER. I just stumbled upon this song for the first time. I have a new/old VH album to wear out now..SHYEAH!

  • @tmcc420 Listen to the intro to "The Last Fight" by Velvet Revolver & tell me if you spot any similarities to the intro to "Women In Love." Not exactly the same intro but if you ask me I think Slash was influenced by this intro that made him do that intro.

  • The first 32 seconds WOW

  • I love the intro

  • When you remove the radio stuff, you end up with Raw Badass!

  • all these crazy women, are just one more crazy night

  • Beautiful intro - the epitome of classic 80s hard rock overture

  • I'm sorry I really missed the like button and hit dislike. so minus one from the dislikes cause I love this song!

  • Still sounds like he's saying "Marge."

  • They do not make this caliber of music anymore! Long live classic tunes such as these. Download them and burn them to preserve them for your children so they grow up learning what real Rock N Roll is all about!

  • I've always thought VH II was underrated. Great album!

  • @lawnboy1977 so have i man! VH II gets almost no playtime except for dance the night away and beautiful girls

  • @lawnboy1977 im it is their best, some great tunes!

  • @lawnboy1977

interesting comment. II has always been one of my favorites.

Sizzling riffs and harmonies, a little more ryth'ly complex, hinting towards II and especially Fr Warning.

    Great melodies too.

I wonder what the consensus on the fan sites say. It's all just opinion.

Some people's favorite VH tune is Jump, and that is just wrong! haha

  • "Marge..youre breakin' my heart"...well, i havent seen too many women named Marge, Wilma, or Bertha that I would call smokin' hot. ...those types of girl names are usually reserved for BBW's. Guess Diamond Dave was drunk off his ass when he kicked boots with her.

  • @mireaux7 oooh you're breaking my heart*

  • @GHeroandRScape ..lol, i actually looked up the lyrics now..and yeah, its not "Marge", its "my-heart"...but sure the hell sounds like "Marrrrrge"..."my-hearrrrrrrrrrrt". LOL....damn, all these years I thought Dave was singing about some fat bitch. XD

  • @mireaux7 Wonder if this is something Homer sang when he and Mrs. Simpson were dating.

  • call me crazy, but im probably one of the few out there that thinks VHII is better than their debut self-titled album before it.

  • Eddie is in the top 5, of best rock guitarist EVER.

  • @gosj3964 uh?,..top 5?...I think he is pretty much at the top of any pinnacle when it comes to shredding the axe. no one else comes close to matching his skill, finesse, or expertise. ever listen to his live solo "316" off of "Right Here, Right Now"? thats some waaay killer axe shredding he is doing.

  • love it

  • Damn, that TONE.....Eddie was blessed with a gift, and the man's made the most of it. Having your brother behind you on drums doesn't hurt, not to mention Mikey's backing vocals paired with Dave's one-of-a-kind frontman skills...LOL

  • 4 biber fan's

  • Freakin love this song!

  • I see all of my californian trips I've done when I hear the first 12 seconds.

  • Two beautiful lesbians, nothing more exciting, nothing

  • "Well honey if you'r needin' a woman just as...bad as me, you oughta be going."

    Good line haha.

  • 0:00-0:10 Best part !!!

  • Michael Anthony and Eddies high backup vocals.....UNBELIEVABLE!

  • michael anthonys vocals are irreplaceable

  • @smokinjz No VH without MA!!!!!!

  • Great Van Halen tune one of my faves,

  • 4 people think Dave is a better singer now than he was then

  • VH is so kick ass too bad the radio stations are convinced they only put out four or five songs.

    fuck the top 40.

  • 3 people have no taste in music

  • A very under-rated song...listen to the INTRO>>> I could loop that and hear it so many times. I wish EDDIE (not you cover guy) would do a longer version of this piece and elaborate on it, maybe even into an entire song. I don't want to hear some wanna be do it, just Eddie. xo

  • i hate todays music im 15 and i jam on my drum set to classic rock

  • Great , Great song, the best by VH in my eyes. I learned this song was about a girl that David loved, but she loved another woman! I would of loved to see what these girl's looked like! I could just imagine, VERY HOT!!!

  • 3 people disliked the video.

  • 3 guitar players can't figure out how to play this song.

  • Listening to this song gives me the goosebumps.

  • heard they r working on a new record...should be good..fuck sammy hagar

  • @troy42100 What's that band he's in? Chickenfoot? Oh excuse me CHICKENSHIT! FUCK YOU SAMMY HAGAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Mike Anthony is still the baddest bass player whether he's with Van Halen, or with Chickenshit, YOU THE MAN, MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

  • @cford1992

Well, guys. Let's tone it down a little bit and get to the facts. Even though I love Diamond Dave as a singer and entertainer, he was the one who left VH. He wasn't booted out of VH.

If Sammy Hagar wasn't called to replace him that would be no VH singer and perhaps no VH at all.

I didn't like most of Van Hagar material yet Chickenfoot is a great band, Hagar is singing better than ever and this puts a healthy pressure on VH to produce an awsome new album.

    Peace.

  • Diamond Lee Roth = GREATEST FRONTMAN EVER

Eddie Van Halen = MAKES MY EARS CUM

Sammy Hagar = SUCKS A LOT OF NIGGER DICK

  • @Hunkola Hey hey hey, I agree that Hagar's a pussy ass faggot, but let's tone it down with the racist words man, there ARE black people who like Van Halen and read these, like me. I agree I fucking love Van Halen to death, only with Diamond Dave of course, fuck Sammy Hagar, he can go suck a dick in Hell, but really did you have to put the word "nigger" here?

  • @cford1992 ---- Hey sorry, bro.....I meant nigger like the same way Chris Rock uses it......a punk ass bitch who shoots off at the mouth......but I agree with ya.....I met lots of black dudes over the years who dig ONLY Roth-era VH because they know that's the Halen that kicked ass and took names......not that crybaby Van Hagar pussy shit

  • @Hunkola Not a problem man, it's my fault for taking it too seriously, but man I agree full with you on the fact that DIAMOND DAVE IS THE SHIT AND SUCK ASS SAMMY HAGAR IS A PUSSY ASS WANNABE THAT CAN'T EVEN STAND UP TO THE GREAT DIAMOND DAVE. LONG LIVE DAVID LEE ROTH, FUCK SAMMY HAGAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cford1992 For real...I don't even acknowledge ANY Van Halen era or lineup other than the DLR era/lineup! DAVE to the GRAVE, motherfuckaz! I went to see Dave perform at the House of Blues in San Diego back in 2005 before the band got back together and I was in the front row (got there 5 hours early for the show). I almost beat the shit out of some Hagar fans talkin shit about Dave at a Dave show no less! During Unchained, Dave shook my hand and he didn't care that I was black...

  • @RAV52 Fuck them pussy ass Hagar fans, it's Diamond Dave or nothing and I can say I'm truly jealous that you actually shook hands with the great David Lee Roth, you lucky motherfucker! DIAMOND DAVE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cford1992 Yeah Dave was in rare form that night! That 5th of Jack he had onstage was already half gone by the time he started spraying chicks in the crowd with it! Even his handshake had soul!

  • 2 people don't have women who love them

  • i think the 2 people disliked this just to see every one make comments about it. lol

But this song is absolutely Genius. Especially the beginning that riff is just pure amazing. Awesome song, Awesome Album, AMAZING Band

  • Awesome song. The intro is still so sweet and beautiful to me... 30 years later.

Almost every Van Halen song (up through 1984) is just timeless music.

  • 2 people are women in hate :(

  • haha, i came here because of Phil X too...

  • This song is f*cking amazing!

  • This is how I sum up Van Halen:

David Lee Roth = COOLEST ROCK STAR of ALL TIME

Sammy Hagar = WORTHLESS DOUCHE BOTTLE

  • @Hunkola amen to that brother

  • 2 idiots!!!

  • two guys dont like hot chicks in love
