  • can i just ask why do they have a ambulance inside the fire department in the uk we have different

  • @rockandroll626 Because in the U.S., most Fire Departments have taken on the responsibility of providing Emergency Medical Services in addition to Fire Suppression and Rescue.

  • @brendan129 ok so if the paramedics cant get on the scene quick enough the fire dept send out a ambulance to give them ems support until the paramedics come?

  • @rockandroll626 The Fire Department IS the Paramedics, they are cross-trained.

  • orland always sends 1 als engine or truck and 1 als ambulance to all ems runs. Sometimes the engines or trucks are first onscene.
