My 2 year mark was on tha 15th n I gotta smart idea to shape-up my fro. It's nice n even now but he got a little clipper happy n now it's a lot lower than before. I recently got my hair braided n my ends dnt even hang anymore because it's so short n school starts back in August for me. Any advice on how to grow as much hair as possible in a month?

@sonyadeven try using biotin and drinking lots of water it will help a lil bit in growing some of that hair back but it will take time to get back to the way it was

I read on a website that you should "finger pick" first. What do you suggest?

I have been experimenting with different tools and methods but I can't quite tell which one is the best.

@SoleyNSilent Sorry I'm late responding but yes, combing through your hair with your fingers is a good idea. I usually spray my hair with a detangler, let it sit for about a minute or so, comb through it with my hands, and then use a detangling comb. Just remember it's best to section of your hair and start from the ends and work your way down to the roots to avoid damaging your hair/scalp. Hope this helps!

@JaffroJunior15 did you moisturize your scalp before getting it braided? Also do you use any type of braid spray? Those are the only solutions I can think of to avoid/stop the itching and dryness

@TheMultiMediaGaming when it comes to products I always tell people the best thing to do is to look up products online or go into the store to read the labels to see which product you think will react to your hair type the best since I can only talk about products based on my hair type which may be different from yours but generally the doo gro line is pretty versatile meaning it reacts well with different hair types

@derick101495 never got a blow out, wouldn't recommend it because there's harsh chemicals in it, i'm not sure if/how a blowout would affect getting braids

@lilCRECRE24 A LOT of ppl told me not to grow my hair because I "wouldn't look right" but that's their opinion. Never let other ppl make a decision like that for you. Now that my hair is grown out and I have hangtime and everything I get compliments all the time on how nice it is/good it looks. A lot of times those ppl are just testing to see how much influence they have on you...do what you want/believe will make you happy

@TheOneLove24 Thanks man I appreciate it...sometimes having thick hair can be a burden, which is why as it gets longer I've been considering dreads more and more. It takes forever to take my braids out now and to detangle it after washing and to blow dry it lol. I still love it though, I might just start rockin 2 straightbacks or french braids from now on if I don't go with the dreads but I'm still on the fence as of now, and no prob with the shout out, gotta pay homage where it's due!

@truebadman Will do, I actually did it when I washed my hair and blow dried it (after this vid) and in the front it's pass my chin and the sides are just pass my collar bones but I trimmed about a 1/4-1/2 inch off so now it's almost back to where I was about a month or so ago

maaaan that fro is CRAZY LONG! probably the braids helping out since i noticed when i had my braids in, my hair grew NOTICEABLY in like 4 days. ill prob get it braided again over the weekend. im surprised u werent trying to show off the new tat like on fb lmao. Keep it up

@TheArtisticGemini You should oil your scalp with castor oil man that oil is amazing. For the first 3 days it tickles your scalp but it really grows your hair 3x faster than other oils. You should try it for a month and see how fast it grows.

It's driving me crazy lol but my final decision will most likely be after I get the twists that way I can get an idea of how I'd look with locks but before they actually transition into locks so I'll be able to take them out if I want
