This song is so beautiful. I'm not really accustomed to Chinese (would you call it folk?) music but there seems to be a genuine integrity to it. The triplets(?) are my favourite part. I just subscribed I and I hope you keep composing!
Beautiful melody, beautiful playing! This is the first time that I heard this song, but just can't help loving it at once. 旋律清新, 優雅動聽,感覺有如飲下一杯甘甜純淨的泉水...
ouvi muitas vezes, aprendi a tocar de ouvido hehe =D, essa musica é realmente muto linda, Parabéns. I heard many times, I learned to play by ear = D hehe, this song is really very beautiful, Congratulations.,
beginning of the videos are there two dolls, but which have nothing to do with china are that Vietnamese doll dresses with Vietnamese and the hat is also ^ ^ Vietnamese (every 2 hats)
@lolhcd lol, my wife's vietnamese also -- I know all about the "ao yai", hehehe! her sister bought those little figurines from vietnam. anyway, I hope you enjoyed the music!
@beeve2000 Hey I really love this song and I'm trying to learn it but I was curious to know if there's a specific terminology for the flowing way you wrote the melody. I know it's similar to arpeggios but is there a more specific term?
@PianoNinjaQK Hi, and thanks! I'm not really sure if there's a specific term for what you are referring to, but for the most part they're really just broken chords. Split staff, voicing... I suppose all these terms apply. Enjoy!
(...cont..) I love this very much, reminds me of the fleeting moments that Life really has been for Su Tung Po (the above quote), King David, and is for the whole rest of us, still hanging on with our fingernails. Don't ever let up, while you are at it, stick your head 'in the winds' with 'ears wide OPEN', as they are wont to say. om Ht, NMO, Deo Gratias.
"Thirty-six thousand days comprise a human life. Of this, old age and sickness occupy half. And in this life, joy is attended by sorrow, Laughter and song keep company with tears. Without a why or wherefore, madly we plunge Headlong like puppets or playthings of the gods. Then in a while we laugh about the past, All things blow over like a thunderstorm. -Since I perceived this truth some time ago, I have forsaken my merrimaking friends. BRAVO Steve, you did it again, Om H, NMO, ( 23 febr 2010)
I just love it! After 32 years of being nothing but Canadian, it has sparked my interest in getting back to my Chinese roots -- whatever or wherever they may be!! John Woo -- please listen to this!
Where can I get the MP3 file for this recording (and also the "Daydream" recording)?
