  • Thanks for teaching us how to do basic math. :)

  • Uhhhhhhhh heres a good fact you forgot to mention idiot, overpopulation and consumption of resources.......

  • bullshit for idiots

  • meanwhile in africa, india, china....

  • Listening to this makes me realize how poor my mathematical skills are

  • why dont we just sterilize every child on the planet thats under the age of 10?

  • @aaronvespro thats messed up, how about this? why dont you just educate them about the truth

  • @skofuzen The issue is that the majority of those with low incomes in Saint Louis are African American. The government provides assistance to the poor based on family size. The poor grow up learning how to use the system for income and thus have children to support themselves. If the government payed more for fewer children, or better yet, payed substantial amount to those who have a couple of children to get surgically sterilized, then the incentive would be to have less children.

  • @skofuzen I'm from Texas and if I were close minded I could say that all Spanish people do is make babies. However, the real issue is that most Latino Americans are raised Catholic and do not use contraception and therefore have large families. The issue is not the fact that they are Latino, the problem is that they are Catholic. In Saint Louis the common opinion is that black people have to many babies. The real issue is not that they are black, but that the majority of poor are black and get..

  • @skofuzen I'm not so sure that a particular race is causing over population as opposed to those with certain religious beliefs and, in the USA in particular, those with low economic status who cause over population. Just because the majority of those who procreate may be of a certain race, it is ill advised to accuse a whole race of the problem since there will be those of that race who do not over populate.

  • @regresseur Well if the way we create the massive amount of food, through intensive farming that involves chemicals and mutated seeds, is what is killing us then it should be obvious to all that over population is a problem. If we cannot safely feed ourselves then there are to many people no matter how small of a space you can pack us all into.

  • Does anyone actually talk about the fact that certain races are the ones causing the global fertility rate to decline? Or is this too scary a subject to venture into?

  • @skofuzen what do you mean? like europeans?

  • @Scopps94 Yes, like Yuropeans.

  • @skofuzen And Japanese too actually.

  • We know the world is overpopulated, part of the problem is having a high population is sort of a defense, like an arms race, higher population means more soldiers etc...

The reason the world supports the current population is because of very intensive farming, if our climate changes, a massive amount of people are going to starve.

Part of the population boom predictions is because of Africa, but Africa can't support a high population, so will likely be balanced out by more deaths.

  • @FluffyFooFookins All the people on Earth can fit into a single US state. Not comfortably, of course, but consider 1 such place to all the land on Earth. Population density is the "problem," and only in popular places. That's not overpopulation.

  • Our population is gonna start to decrease by 1 billion people every century?

    SEEMS LEGIT.

  • You either don't understand math, or you're being intentionally deceptive. While it's true that UN predictions of population growth do include the *possibility* of a decrease happening around 2050, that possible scenario is envisioned precisely *because* of the possibility of a starvation scenario occurring due to overpopulation.

  • @PhoenixMalizia "the *possibility* of a decrease happening around 2050 [...] is envisioned [by the UN] precisely *because* of the possibility of a starvation scenario"

    Source?

  • im confused. more ppl = more ppl having kids. it took 123yrs for pop to reach 2billon ppl. then only 33yrs to reach 3billion. that is a significant decrease in time. and then 15yrs to reach 4billion. the only thing declining is the time between each billion. the way i see it is more + more = more, not more + more = less.

  • @rogisajackass "the only thing declining is the time between each billion."

The time between billions is now going up. It's projected to rise to infinity within 30 years.

  • Good video. I'm glad to know that contraceptives and sterilization through surgery is finally starting to make a positive impact. There are to many people on the planet right now. We are like bacteria in a petri dish of agar. Eventually the agar will run out if we don't slow down. It's either slow down or start building a life off of this planet.

  • @PecosPaloma It's actually sterilization through estrogen mimickers grown in GMO foods by corporations like Monsanto, which are also what's causing breast, cervical, testicular and prostate cancer. Soft-killing people is cool, I suppose.

  • If you have a (more or less) constant rate of population increase, then you will have a constant rate of population duplication. I don't know if population will actually decrease (after the baby boomers pass), but that's just to put it out there

  • you're an idiot. the population is still growing, whether the rate is decreasing or not

  • Makes sense but it doesn't end the fact we still have TOO MUCH people!

  • They are just too stupid to realize that even if the percentage at which the population increases goes down, the population is still increasing by 1 billion every 12 years, or something close to that. So even if lets say 16.5% of the world's population increases with the next billion, that doesn't matter as the pop is still increasing. Their argument has no relativity to the problem. Yes, their part about how the births per family is decreasing resulting in the pop decrease is valid, but thatsit.

  • @qwertyasd822 well, first of all: your post doesn´t really start off nicely. To your point: regarding only this arguement/point, yes they don´t make clear how a deccrease of population growth rate - which still means a increase in overall pop - would adress the hunger propblem. Yet, in their 3rd vid they show how food production also evolves with pop growth, as does the living standard (so speaking: more people=more food production + more wealth). Hit me if you find a new point gg

  • @sakir0n explain to me how more ppl = more food production bc more ppl = a need for more food production. just bc the pop is growing doesnt mean food production will grow with it. when the food supply is stretched too thin ppl have to come up with a way to increase production. it doesnt happen all on its own. if we r able to do this then we can continue living as we do. if we r unable to increase production then we r going to be facing some serious problems.

  • @rogisajackass Hi, sorry for late response. vague historic proof: A farmer today produces 100times more food then 200 years ago. theoretical economic proof (based on "Food avaibility doctrine" which is a crime since it leaves poor ppl to starve..): if not enough food, prices raise, market wants to produce/sell more -> invests in tech. Remember that tech can only go further, never back. Yes, way is to ensure equal distribution, which is related to equal distribution of money..

  • @sakir0n Firstly, these days many do not want to be farmers, therefore more people is not equal to more food production. Secondly, there are many things other than food for example water, the fact that more people = more pollution = Global Warming and other things too such as trees and land. Land, yes we have enough, but the way our societies are divided, there is not much wealth equality, so some places = lot of land, though some places = little land.

  • @qwertyasd822 Hi, sorry for late response. I agree in your 2nd and 3rd point: yes, therer are problems related to pop growth like climate change. That would still support the point of the vid, that the nutrition of mankind is not the propblem. Further it is very true that there is enough,it is just so unequaly distributed.

But disagree in the 1st point: you state a feeling instaed a fact. Fact1: farming technology is evolving. Fact2: western farm-tech is yet to be used in africa

  • I hope you all know that it's 2012 and the pop is still 6.96 billion

  • @Carzrock77 Depends on your sources...

  • @Carzrock77 No we don't because it's not true.....

  • These videos make perfect sense (except for the "evolution" propaganda). It kind of shows the errors of the "overpopulation" propaganda.

But the population will decrease rapidly in the near future.

Rev 9:18 By these three was THE THIRD PART OF MEN killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

  • @gimik2 om...G! get off ur computer and go back to church. we dont wanna hear ur biblical propaganda

  • 2013 - 7.1 Billion

    2015 - 7.2 Billion

    2025 - 8.02 Billion

  • If you go to Population Clock Live, it shows the number of births and deaths every second,

it's awesome to see the number of births changing every second!!

  • What you did was just described exponential growth and you are too stubborn or stupid to realize it.

  • 7.023.069.530

  • @vlada881 - 1,849,854 more humans on earth than last week!!

  • @limoboss6242 2025 - 8.000.000.000 :D

  • @vlada881 - Cool!!

  • wow..well put..makes me ok !

  • The problem is it is not equal in all regions . We need UN program to help educate people and distribute contraceptives in Third World countries ! Most problem with overpopulation are in these countries and not in a developed world .

  • the majority of people live day to day with a solipsistic mode of thought. most people are not conscious of much outside their bubble. the idea that global population will taper and asymptotically approach carrying capacity is both quixotic and staggeringly asinine.

  • @jdis -Human population growth is inevitable, why should we be so consumed with

worrying about it, let us move in our bubbles, let the population grow as it does!

  • What a relief! Within 13 years, humanity only added 1 billion people and didn't double!

So everything is alright, there would only be a problem if we doubled, but adding a billion every one or two decades won't be a problem.

The PRI knows exactly, what will happen in the next hundreds years, were humanity will die out by itself by subtracting a billion every one and a half decade.

  • The "Population Research Institute":

    en(dot)wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Population_Research_Institute

A "Pro-Life" group, funded by right-wingers. There is no overpopulation, no ressource crisis, no limits for growth. Just relax and keep procreating, it's god's will. Everything will be fine, everything will get better by itself, just sit down and watch more TV.

We can fill the whole world with people and suburbanize them like we did in America. Move on, nothing to see here.

  • Wow if that's true that means there will be more old people than young👴👵, robots will take care of them.😄

I wonder how society will change because our world is populated by wise experienced people, maybe that would be bad because then the world is less susceptible to proper change and new ideas.😒❔

  • 7.021.219.676

  • @vlada881 - 21 million more since October 2011, we are better than rabbits!!

  • My problem is that after 2025 the population will apparently go down. But why would it go down? Will people stop having kids? Will there be more war? Will people not live as long as they do now?

As comforting as this video tries to be, its missing an important detail: after 2025 loads more people are either dying, not being born or both. Why?!

  • @HarrisonRocks it probably goes down because they are aborting everyone, they've already aborted 54.5 million people in the past 40 years in America , include in that the population control going on in China ,with them only being allowed one child per family , and its not hard to figure out how the population will go down

  • @elijahsma10 Abortion rate is a factor, but it is also use of birth control and there is also a growing infertility rate as well. It is almost as if our race were genetically reprogrammed to reach a certain number and then decline. Hmm....

  • @HarrisonRocks The population will start dropping because our birth rate is slowing down, as stated in the video. We'll get to a point where there will be more people dying than are being born, hence the total population decreasing. This will happen as long as the birthrate is lower than it used to be. If we can get the average worldwide birthrate to under 2 children per woman, then there won't be enough children to replace their parents and we'll see rapid decline of numbers.

  • @JanelleMacDougall Alright, people! You heard the man! Let's get BUSY!

  • ZOMG 7 BILLION PEOPLE ARE ON EARTH.

Fun Fact: 40% of the world's population doesn't even know what a billion is.

  • Yes it will go down. But in the mean time... a many problems are being caused by overpopulation.

  • @TheNubbbler the world is NOT overpopulated..... wealth is unequally distributed but we're not overpopulated.

  • @TheYaom

    "the world is NOT overpopulated"

Yes it is. Resources are being depleted and environment being destroyed so fast, some of the babies being born today will at some point have to resort to cannibalism.

  • @TheYaom TheYaom are you religious or something? When 46% of the world's land is used for agriculture, I think there is an issue. Mosquitobight just gave you two of THE biggest problems facing the world, of which are caused by overpopulation.

  • High birth rate is only really happening in Africa and Afghanistan. For much of the rest of the world, population is either slowly growing or in a strong decline. Japan will lose 30% of its people in 50 years.

  • THUMBS UP 1 CHILD POLICY!

  • Lol Im interested to see what happens in 15 years, we'll cycle back to 7 billion lmfao if we are continually climbing in population where is the turning point, what scientist and researchers say we'll max and drop back down... from what causes? lmfao I'm not buying its a natural thing think about it.

  • @DangLao no one is having children.... we're growing because we're living longer, but less and less people are being born each year... as a result when the big mass of people alive reaches old age and start dying we'll see population collapse.

  • guess what happened to make it come back to 7billion? warr! disease! ran out of resources! sufering! lol

  • @ihatecandy01 No, it's due to declining birth rates, which will only appear in the future because the effect is delayed.

  • @ihatecandy01 I'm not sure if you are really dumb or just trying to troll everyone. I'll stick to the second...

  • Comment removed

  • the real problem is governments, starting wars and withholding resources

(often from their own people to maintain power or amass wealth) which in turn

creates additional poverty, starvation and artificial scarcity.

  • @XSC3

Overpopulation, poverty and bad government feed each other in a vicious circle. Slow pop growth, wealth and good government feed each other in a virtuous circle.

  • CHINA IS NOT OVERPOPULATED!!! I repeat. I will compare China vs UK because the idea of depopulation started in the UK and China is most often brought up as an example

China- 140 people per sq km

UK- 255 people per sq km

  • @WhitneysParty7

"CHINA IS NOT OVERPOPULATED!!! China- 140 per sq km UK- 255 per sq km"

The UK is overpopulated. The UK must import a lot of its food and pay for it with manufacture exports. If the UK loses its export markets, it will no longer be able to buy food, and millions of Brits would go hungry. China does NOT want to follow the UK down that road. Somebody somewhere has to have an agricultural surplus they can export. Overpopulation destroys the food exporting club.

  • @WhitneysParty7 Im in canada...whats the per sq km for us...something like .5 people per sq km..?..hehehe....

  • well that is an opinion but can we fully predict what will happen maybe just maybe we could have a second baby boom or else have a ww3 or starvation making that we might never see 7 billion again

  • @AtheistTower

    3. I think it is very foolish of you to trust science will 'catch up' when it is already lagging behind.

    4. It's more a problem of resources rather than technology, unless we start exploiting other planets within 10-20 years, population growth has to stop now,

  • @janjohandealgenman

Don't be retarded, we won't start 'exploiting other planets' we will preform robotic asteroid mining, as discussed by Elon Musk(CEO of Tesla motors & Space X) & Peter Diamandis in a video you'll find here on youtube.

Secondly,Where are you getting this 10-20 year timeframe from? last time I checked on worldometers(dot)info there is plenty of 'resources'. Not to mention technologies that use less expensive 'resources' to achieve the same goals,

  • @janjohandealgenman you seem to forget a little detail here..... 1.1% birth rate.... will make us grow.... BUT ABOUT DEATH RATE? PEOPLE DIE TOO YOU KNOW? and as we age, more and more of us die!!!!

  • @TheYaom

LOL! I assume you are kidding of course... If not you should go back to school

  • @janjohandealgenman are you fucking retarded? a population growth of 1.1% pretty much means extinction! the population is growing because most people born in the boom population era of the 20th century are still alive; but most will start to die in 20/30/40 years which is when we'll start seeing demographic collapse.

  • @TheYaom

    Yeah nice try troll

  • @janjohandealgenman not a troll but you're fucking stupid, you claim that with a growth of 1.1% we'll still multiply to trillions..... I can tell you did the math, but it seems you forgot to substract the number of people who will die.

overpopulation will never happen, on the contrary, by 40 years or so most likely population will be collapsing just about everywhere on the planet!

  • @TheYaom

Oke let me be more precise, either you are a troll or SO DUMB that you are not worth my time

  • @janjohandealgenman Therefore the population would only quadruple in 140 years. That fits with a quintupling of population in 150 years at a 1.092% annual growth rate.

  • This is, I would guess, the work of some Christian organisation, and accordingly misleading and dangerous. The problem is not just population growth - if we all lived sustainably it wouldn't be a problem - it is overconsumption of resources in the here and now. Luckily it seems from the other comments that people are generally not fooled by this rubbish.

  • @Mornardo

The PRI have dealt with the very issue you speak of, and it isn't overconsumption it's redistribution, availability and sustainability. Sustainability is achievable on a massive scale such that this world could still hold potentially hold 100 billion, I'm not even joking. So we're not even close to unsustainable population. Look at the facts, not simply rebuke it because you have a secular paradigm.

  • Ya, everybody relax and welcome the next billion on it's way in the next 12 years or so!!

  • The problem isn't population growth but increasing resource consumption per person.

  • government propaganda or what? population will only go down if only 2 children per couple is set or we have a world war either way get rdy for duh fun :/

  • Yeah, but my government (and it's associated think-tanks) told me different, and they wouldn't ever tell lies........would they?.........would they? Lol!

  • If we are not overcrowding then why are most if not all the big cats out there are endangered? Because they require lots of room to hunt. And we are taking that land which leaves the mountain lion and other predators very little room to live and procreate. We are overcrowding on the land that was once theirs. Fuck this video

  • Your ignorance of exponential growth is staggering.

  • May malthus spin continuously until the end of history (in his grave).

  • In the year 2045 this earth will be not over populated but for instances. China is over populated thats why China child policy is you can have on kid only. United States and Canada are not over populater beacuse Canada could have 35,000,000 only. But United States live more then Canada so the US and more people then canada. Because all Canada city's or close to the United States coast line thats why Canada's population need's to be 35,36 million thats enough for Canada

  • This video made no sense

  • Wait.. isn't saying the population will peak soon and then start to drop the exact symptoms of overpopulation?

  • I think it's safe to say that the world isn't overpopulated. Certain countries are overpopulated. Also, we have stupid leaders who end up depriving people of the right resources. The people aren't much better because we usually take after examples set by our governments. I think that once the baby boomer generation in the U.S. die off, we will see an improvement here. Same with China.

  • I hope your right, because if it doesnt start to die out before 2100 i'd have to figure out a way of helping the decline of this animal

An idea that would be pretty cool, is feeding one billion, to one billion, and yes i do mean canabalism

  • The problem with your math on this is that it is not 1 billion people every 15 years. If we have a constant yearly increase of a certain percent, then the increase in people on the planet each new year is a larger percentage then the year before. Try the math yourself.

    N = Noert

    number in initial population (No)

    growth rate (r) (decimal value)

length of time (t) (same units as r)

    number in final population (N)

If you dont mind me asking, where exactly did you get your information?

  • It clearly shows that our population is doing just fine. No need to worry about it, there is a checks and balance system in place that allows for population increase, mankind has invented ways to curb population growth, abortion and birth control, those who want to use can and those who don't, don't, thus allowing for the population to grow as it does.

  • It's funny the very personal reaction some people have when you question having more children or any children.

They can get very angry. I posted on Facebook this very issue and said "Today's must have accessory and being a hot young mom is tomorrows abused kid in the welfare line" And then got really angry reactions.

The desire to have 'your own' child is very rooted in fear of death and basic narcissism. There are so many kids out there who are homeless.

    SAVE THE WORLD STOP BREEDING!!!

  • @abumaximo

I support mothers having as many children as possible if they can support them themselves within the context of a stable marriage (which leads to the most beneficial social outcomes). Those who do such benefit the world, those who have no children select themselves out of existence, and quite frankly it may be best; the world is only overpopulated with people who believe in overpopulation.

  • @AtheistTower

sorry the 5 trillion is not correct, it's 5x10^10

  • yeah and by then all the world would be muslim

  • There's a certain kind of guy that loves to tell everyone to "relax". It's kind of gives away how upset he is. How is the population going down, exactly? Maybe he's being sarcastic. Maybe it's a sarcastic "don't worry".

  • @K65519 -Only selfish individuals worry about more population, they are afraid to share,

sharing of wealth is easy to do if you want to, the more population increases the more

the selfish will have to share, the population is going to increase with out a doubt,

    so be prepared to share!!

  • @limoboss6242

Actually the people who DON'T worry about overpopulation are the ones who are selfish because they choose to put more children into an already overpopulated world just to satisfie their own need to reproduce.

  • @janjohandealgenman - Human nature to procreate, what is overpopulation, who says we are too many, children are tomorrow's future, human growth is inevitable!

  • @limoboss6242

Who says we are with too many?? You do know that we are already with so many that it is IMPOSSIBLE to give everybody a healthy diet with diverse and complete nutrition? I'm not talking about a western lifestyle, just a healthy diet. Sooner or later population growth has to stop (simply because of the limited amount of space) but why wait untill it gets REALLY uncomfortable??

  • @janjohandealgenman - And just how do you intend to stop the population from growing? We already have multiple means of birth control, we currently abort 50 million

babies every year and we are growing by 85 million a year, still. Like I said human growth is inevitable.

  • @janjohandealgenman

It only has to stop if you live within a short sighted technological mindset. You do not know what the future holds, in fact I find your comments highly insulting to biotechnologists like myself whos very goal is to improve the productivity and availability of crops to the world. For crying out loud, we can already grow crops underwater, underground and eventually we'll be growing them on mars.

  • @AtheistTower

I agree with you, these malthusian and ehrlich advocates consistently fail to understand that technology has made food production issues a thing of the past. Like Norman Borlaug, and Haber & Bosch scientists will solve any & every problem humanity may face. Afterall isn't ''Necessity, the mother of all invention''

  • yes i agree. but the reason the population rate of increase is slowing is because people are becoming more aware of the over population problem. yes we have begun solving the problem but your idea of the worlds population beginning to decrease is just in human. You want more people to die? the rest of us would just like it to remain steady. you make the same mistake as everyone else. you think the rate as which population growth is slowing, or rising, will remain constant.

  • @SparkyPrincessofDoom - Population growth is inevitable, it's going to happen, the growth has been slowed because of birth control and abortion, 50 million abortions world wide every year, birth control has prevented probably at least another 100 million

babies from being conceived, so the population is not out of control as some believe,

it is increasing naturally even with all the above mentioned barriers!! Human growth is

    natural!!!

  • If we can just get rid of Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, and Sarah Palin the other 6,999,999,997 don't worry me so much.

  • I read all of the preceding comments. May say that this is obviously fallacious but fail to explain where the fallacy is. The video is a simple representation of a rather complex process. The growth of population will trigger many challenges but will also generate solutions of its own. Allow me to explain some of the fallacies IN THE COMMENTS. More species went extinct when mankind was less than 1 or 2 million people. Even more went extinct before there were any humans on earth [continues...]

  • @ccasorosendi The SEARS catalog stores appeared when the population of the US was about 4 or 5 million people and we could all sustain an effective postal service. After we reached 250 million it was possible to have WALMARTS. Now the net earnings of WALMART are huge but they represent the smallest percentage of the price of goods in history! That goes to show you that somewhere, someone is thinking on how to fulfill the needs of more and more people all the time.

  • @ccasorosendi We can't accelerate the process. Births cannot outpace deaths for ever. That is what these videos are trying to show. At one point more people die than those being born. Eventually the population stabilizes reaching a state of soft peaks and valleys. Trying to get to that point artificially triggers a population winter like the one Europe is already experiencing and China will experience in a few decades. DO THE MATH. Stop shouting "fallacy!" Pop growth control is the real suicide.

  • i think we should all report this fuck up, putting this crap on youtube

  • what a coincedence that the economy is slowing down really, i think they are helping us slow down think about it

  • We mightn't be back here again with genetic engineering, that would let people live for an indefinite period, what some may refer to as immortality, nevertheless I can't imagine it'll be a problem, although by the 2070s to end of the century the developed world will probably not see a decrease in population and into the following century almost every region of the world will become developed.

Yet by then we'll probably be colonizing the Moon & Mars which will resolve it.

  • @deanmullen10 The population is growing every year, but more and more abortions and increased use of birth control are imposing less growth every year, thus I don't see the population increase over the next 50 years being any problem. Over population freaks are just trying to force their views on everyone. You are right, who knows, in 50 years we may be able live on another planet, the next baby born might be the one to figure it out so why stop human growth at all!!

  • @limoboss6242 yup, although I can see economical reasons to keep the population at a certain amount, say in china were they have the one child policy as that'll mean many millions less in the future and hence with less people, each person has more money each and for people in China in 30 years from now that money could be the difference between life & death, so things like that maybe necessary but in terms of food & resources, were fine.

  • This has got to be reverse propaganda, because it's so obviously fallacious, not simply inaccurate.

  • @333666666 :D Yeah, that's what I think, too. I think it's the female icon "pooping" babies that kind of gives it away.

  • We ARE on the path to self destruction, however, i AM relaxed, since there's no other path out there and there's no point worrying about what u can't change :)

  • @Lafikhandro - True, the path we are on is the only path we have, whatever happens, happens, population growth is inevitable, relax and let it happen, swelling humanity

is a natural fact, we must deal with the pressures of ever growing humans, we cannot stop the flow of births from happening, let them happen.

  • @Lafikhandro This is the answer abumaximo comes up with, after thinking about

the video? Your name reveals more of what your thinking process entails.

I thought about it....ABORTION by any name is the killing of a human being. This inconvenient TRUTH seems annoy bum types.

  • lol... aren't we hoping not to reach the peak why wait for it, if it means that when it comes we can no longer save what is lost (extinction of species of plants and animals, ozone layer, fresh water supply, forests etc.)

  • I agree to relax BUT growth rate and percentage growth are completely different. The growth rate may slow but the growth percentage still climbs as there are more humans able to reproduce.

Bad comparison in this video but YES, Earth can hold billions more humans :D

  • I don't think that the people who made this video realize the problem here. I guess that ignorance is bliss.

  • Here we go again, well , USA DoD just weaponize the virus H1N5 flu virus which have already a mortality rate of 50% in humans, after a few DNS trickery now the H1N5 is am airborn transmissible virus, God bless the NWO, Trilateral Comission, Bilderberg Group, and the rest of the Pack you knows who?

Reproductive rights will be be remove for you, no income, no reproductive rights, PERIOD!!

  • You can laugh at this video, but in fact, we don't have famine or disease to control our population. It's exploded in China and India, and there is no stopping it. Yet, no one seems to want to talk about limiting humans, as if it's our divine right. 99% of the animal population---tigers, lions, bears---in India, for example, is gone forever.

  • The biggest reason our human population continues to grow happened since the Industrial Revolution with modern medicine curing diseases like malaria. Humans have no natural predators. The planet simply cannot handle 7 billion humans! By 2050, there will not be a fish in the oceans because of man. Please. Everyone. Support family planning in India and Africa

  • Relax, Mother Nature will reduce the human population.

The old-fashioned way: Famine and Disease.

  • @platinumpig and don't forget War and Genocide. Mother Nature is great, but we can help too.

  • I have to disagree with the logic and math used in this video. It's somewhat misleading. The population continues to grow exponentially and people are having more kids everywhere I have seen. Colinpri1, I would be interested in discussing this topic more with you, feel free to contact me. I have a theory that says I can show you how any modern day problem is directly linked to the population of the earth growing this fast.

  • It's isn't about our population. it's how we support them. and if we take care of our population and make smart choices. besides, we might ruin the planet before we even get that far. this video is based on if we take care of our world. which we aren't doing. therefore, it is innacurate.

  • @BloodRose123100 u and the rest of the fucking idiotic conservationist environmentalist dildos just had ur fucking minds blown and can't fucking handle it. start population control off right and just kill yourself

  • what an idiotic video!

  • The key legal term/word is 'control'. To control someone is done by their consent. 90% of the populus* love being controlled/govern by the Corpus Fictus. So according to the Earth Charter**, & if you read between the lines, 90% of the population/useless eaters will be dead(person--a body w/o the spirit), while the rest will be living(self governed;living soul).

*U.S. population in 1830 was 1 million slaves, 2010 around 300mil persons(U.S. Census of the Dept. of Commerce). Think.**Maurice Strong

  • Assets - Liabilities = equity... Your video is PROPAGANDIST and unrealistic.

  • population control is spawned out of fear, selfishness, hatred and greed. there is enough room, enough food only people are not willing to share. some wish in there hearts that we could just cull the herd as if we were animals needing to be managed and coraled. we are not vermon, we are people. people created by God who is the author and giver of life. no one has right to start or end life but him. it is he who opens or closes the womb. it is his world. be thankful and have mercy.

  • Ok, the population is growing exponentially, 7 billion will soon turn into 14 billion... people need to realize that our life support system, WHAT KEEPS US ALIVE AND BREATHING is not sustainable that way. Our resources are declining rapidly. If we dont dont do something to control our population, nature will take its course. Everyone has to die, but not everyone needs to be born.

Enviro Sci, is the best college corse, it opened my eyes..
