In this day and age people have a hard on for defending "cultural cuisine" and differences between what is considered food around the world. While true to an extent, I am by no means a fussy eater and lived in Tokyo for 3 years, I am just gonna come out and say it...

for all of you that don't know a lot about tarantula's this is probably a haplopelma species and its ass or abdomen is mostly other bugs that the spider has consumed. And I cambodia is a very poor country and they dont have much food so they do what they can to survive. We here in north america would not eat that they are gross compared to the good food we have here. And i promise you that the bbq chicken here taste way better.

I completely draw the line at spiders. Sure, they are very distantly related to prawns and lobster, but crustaceans have clean meat that separates from the exoskeleton, and spiders in my opinion are far more unattractive and plain filthy animals.
