its not fair to compare M5 from 2005 and cts-v from 2009...if u put cts-v 2004-2005 with ls6 engine 400 bhp Bmw its the winner.its like you compare bugati veyron with other supercar 4 years older.

The highest 1 or 2 gears on the CTS-V are probably tuned more for fuel economy while cruising the highway than performance & this is why it is slower at higher speeds. All gears on the BMW M5 are turned for performance & if it is the auto I believe it has 7 spds. There is no other reason why the CTS should be slower given it's HP & torque advantages. On a track this is irrelevant. racing at that speed on the autobaun would be irresponsible.

He says that the CTS-V wins JUST because the M5 caught up at higher speeds again. (And the fact that the CTS-V will catch up again when the M5 runs into the limiter is rubbish because you can get it w/o limiter too). And why most europeans don't accept these cars? I don't know, maybe some are just ignorant. I for my part don't like them because I HATE their plastic interior, overall quality and lack of all-day usability.

Its clear to me that u havent sat in one if u think it has a plastic interior like the older GM cars. The quality is a huge improvement and its on par with all of its rivals. And how is it not as usable as an M5? I wouldnt buy an M5 or a CTS-V but i still have to say the CTS-V is a better value for ur money

I actually sat (unfortunately couldn't drive it) in a ZR1 just a few days ago and the plastics are HORRBLE. Didn't have the chance to sit in a CTS-V yet. But as far as I can tell from pictures and some reviews, it's true that the interior is a real leap forward compared to the older cars. But saying that it's on par with it's rivals is quite a lot too much, don't you think? You can't really tell which of the two is better, it really depends on what you want from a car.

I have no idea what the ZR1 interior is like but the standard CTS has interior that is as good or better than its main competition such as the G37 and 3 series. Its almost overdone with leather wrapped dash and pop up nav screen and premium leather etc. I think if u sat in one you would be very surprised. But i also noticed the 3.6L CTS ends up costing more than the G37 or TL or IS350...so u are paying for all that extra luxury...i used to hate GM but their current products r much improved

Really ? I haven't seen a lot of CTS-V videos, but I do believe you, sounds logical to me. I'm not a huge fan of American cars, but the CTS-V is just a beast. If the Dutch goverment would screw the people so hard with all the taxes, I would've bought it for sure. True bang for the buck.
