  • Has to be the most overrated pilot in aviation history,,,if she was a man NOBODY would even know who she is.

  • @basenjib123

u may think that, but in that time period women were underated and people believed that women could not do the thing that men could have done, so when she said it doesnt matter man or owmen could do that, that is why people loved her so much because she proved even if she os a women she could do it. Also another reason why she is famous is she completely dissapeared and went missing, no one really knows what happened to her, I've seen this movie and trust me she is not over rated!

  • Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked so hard that his foot exceeded the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while flying over the Pacific Ocean.

  • wats the song at 0:26 called

  • hilary is so pretty

  • Whats the song in the beginning called?

  • i have a huge dick, so I dont care.

  • I like Hilary Swank very much___~

  • M y sister was an extra in this.... lol

  • @ChelseyCheerieos haha im gonna watch this.which part is she in?

  • @3Oh3metrostation No quite sure haven't even seen it myself. lol Clearly the best sister....

  • fucking women, cant fly a shit

  • The scene were they are talking over the phone radio.... amazing.

  • The film isn't as bad as the reviews make it seem. it is by no means brilliant or breathtaking, but it's a good, solid film. Still, it could have been so much better.

  • did she make it?!?!?!?!

  • @annammatilda yes. she was so into it she kept on going she flew to mars.

  • @annammatilda no she was lost at sea. :(

  • @annammatilda No...

  • leave it to hollywood to make something bigger than it was...

  • @MrMeineNamen to be honest she was undoubtedly thee most famous woman in the world in the 1930's. Perhaps even more than Elinor Roosevelt. Get your facts straight. This movie barely even touches who she really was and what she really accomplished.

  • @FlyinRyans35 um... i was talking about the drama... dont get all defensive

  • Considering the talent available this could have been a really good movie. But a key element is missing, any movie with aircraft central to the story has to have enough camera shots of instrumentation, gages, switches and chart work for navigation, radio and compass. You have to show that Amelia could get in that left hand seat and do her stuff."The Spirit of St. Louis" w/James Stewart is a good ex. The director missed it, not Hillary.

  • Thumps up if u think she still can't drive a car

  • She makes it.

  • i love amelia earhart the best

  • I like what an incredible woman woman Amelia was, but I didn't really like this movie. It was like they tried to hard to make in an Academy Award winning movie.

  • she dies doesn't she..

  • @SonofSivadas She got lost somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, nobody knows what happened to her.

  • @haleyteddy03

I watched a documentary once about finding her (not literally) and that they found human items on a group of islands called the Phoenix islands near Howland island (The one she was supposed to land on). They tested them for DNA and found her co-pilots DNA on them meaning they could have landed there and were stranded t until they died. It was very interesting

  • @alikescorch62 That's interesting. I'd like to see that.

  • @SonofSivadas Yeah.... In real life. Not sure about the movie.

  • lost at sea.

  • This movie really whitewashed AE's life. I had hopes for this movie....but so much was left out. However, barring that, I am glad that this movie was made because it gets her name out there and new generations of people will remember her.

  • not a fan

  • awesome!! GIRL POWER!! women can do anything they want.....the sky is the limit

  • @MrCelylol women can do anything they want!! asshole ,,,men like you should not exist in this world ....thanks to a woman you are here in this world ...so dont post stupid comments!! and dont forget that thanks to a woman you are here ASSHOLE

  • THIS IS THE MUSIC FROM SUNSHINE!!!!!!! <3

  • @MrCelylol then y is Amelia so famous?

  • @colorguard4evur Really? wow.haha. She's the first woman to fly across the Atlantic by herself . She's also done other flights, but once she decided to fly around the whole world, by it's longest points, (with stops of course) and she disappeared on the ocean and was never ever seen or heard again. Some people think she was spying on America for Japan. The weird thing is that they sent a huge search for her and there was no evidence of her crashing, or anything at all.

  • @0OoXxASHLEYxXoO0 noooooooo hes making fun of her in one of his comments

  • @0OoXxASHLEYxXoO0

I watched a documentary once about finding her (not literally) and that they found human items on a group of islands called the Phoenix islands near Howland island (The one she was supposed to land on). They tested them for DNA and found her co-pilots DNA on them meaning they could have landed there and were stranded t until they died. It was very interesting

  • @alikescorch62 Which program was that? So far as I know they haven't found any viable DNA on the island they think they crashed on. If they had found Fred Noonan's DNA it would have been huge news.

  • ¿que las mujeres no deben ser pilotos? que te pasa apuesto que eres hombre lo se por tu tonto comentario. . .

  • Do you think she fell into the triangle so..........like God said nope!

  • @thecluegeek

    No...

  • @BluePandastars nope....

  • 1:28 I wanna do that.

  • my name is amelia :D

  • IT'S THE DOCTOR!

  • It was so sad at the end :(

  • This should've at least gotten an Oscar nod.

  • Amelia Earhart the women who proved they shouldnt fly

  • @Mrsitheguy1

Right...I almost forgot men never crash planes.

  • @Mrsitheguy1

Because, apparently, all the worl'd airplane crashes have been piloted by women. -_-

  • @Mrsitheguy1 That's just plane stupid!

  • Her scarf flying out the window in the trailer reminded me that one she owned was flown around the world 171 times in 2009 onboard Atlantis.

  • I wonder if this movie is as bad as the critics said it was? Then again I usually disagree with the critics anyway.

  • @Humbertusmarius The general audience rarely agrees with critics.

  • I didn't play anyone I was just a dude I the backround

  • soundtrack = sunshine, kickass, the king's speech, adjustment bureau

-any producer knows how strong this stuff is - u put this in any movie it will appeal directly to the soul regardless of the movie plot..

  • Hilary Swank is perfect for the role!

  • @inoarcher RIGHT SHE'S GREAT

  • Amelia Earhart has to be my second favorite person of all time- right after Herbert Wiley

  • Can I idolize Amelia Earhart even though im a horrible male?

  • !!! WOMEN RULES !!! Women have the POWER!!!

  • Hollywood!

    Ooh shit!!!

They sell U dreams that make U shorttime heappy.

But its not Ur own dream.

N U pay for that shit?

  • of females,it's a male domnaited industry that women must still prove themselves in.

  • amelia earhart, is my ispriation.

i think it's important for all women who want to be pilots to be infulenced by her.

Her quote "My ambition is to have this wonderful gift produce practical results for the future of commercial flying and for the women who may want to fly tomorrow's planes"

is difeanity something all young women should look up to when pursing a carrer as a pilot or even aviaition.

Through the past few courses I have taken avaition related there have been limited amounts

  • she look just like her..wow...

  • This movie was an absolute disgrace. Leave it to Hollywood to destroy a legend.

  • @WheelSlip8 I agree.

  • @WheelSlip8 ur mean

  • the tragidie of the sea, the titanic!

  • I herd that they found a woman's shoe and a finger bone, emptied out clamshells, and fish carcasses on Howard's island. That gives me the chills. Search Amelia Earhart on google and look under NEWS

  • Is This Movie Gunna Come Out This Year ?

  • @Therandom0078 were?ps its an amazing story

  • @Therandom0078 who cares the extras?

  • Comment removed

  • Was any one else expecting to see Amy Adams play Amelia?

  • @clbrooks91 Yes Amy Adams is so much better!

  • @tammyd963 But this one looks much more like her

  • Could anyone please tell me the tune or song that is in the first 20 seconds 00:00-00:21?

    Thanks :)

  • @BundyFly

I believe is introducing Amelia and the composer is Gabriel Yared.

  • i've seen pretty daming evidence that says she was captured and killed by the Japs.

  • If there was an oscar for best trailer this would win :)

  • Its not common knowledge - everyone knows that she doesnt return but nobody knows where she went the whole issue is Where did Amelia Earhart go???

And she was not the first female pilot - she was the first female pilot to fly across the atlantic = and she did it in 1928!!! Get your facts right before accusing!!!

  • @Kayzerism Amelia Earhart disappearing is considered common knowledge - Just like know one knows what happened to her but its safe to say she went down in the ocean. Lots of water,a tiny island that was barely 2 miles long, a small plane and her last transmissions were she clearly stated she had very little fuel. Don't you think if she would of landed somewhere - anywhere, first thing she would of done would be to send out a transmission before even stepping off the plane?

  • Um the whole thing here is nobody knows what happened!!! - yeah she doesnt return but nobody has ever known What ever happened to Amelia Earhart????

And she was not the first female pilot - she was the first female pilot to fly across the atlantic - get your facts right if you are going to make judgement!!!

  • same screeching sound towards the end like in the Call of Duty: Black Ops trailers

    1:36

  • Amelia Earhart flew a lot of airplanes except for that one time when she didn´t come back.

  • first female pilot and fighterpilote was sabiha gökcen a turkish women she flew a fighterplane in 1936 and even fought against north koreans during the korean war ..

  • I love when she says>>>>>>>>>>''Theirs more too life, than being a passenger''

  • She drifted to the Nikumaroro island and spent rest of life, right?

  • @kingmanekin Yes

  • @kingmanekin then again ''no''

  • WHAT TRACK IS THIS ? I need this soundtrack urgently :s

  • when did this come out

  • What sucks is that even though the trailer looks awesome, u know she doesnt make it. The suspense is now totally gone.

  • @Foo3112 they say she disappeared but dont know what happen to her

  • @chanelprincess16 I know. Thats common knowlege. Kinda like the Titanic. Everyone knows what happened.

  • The first combat pilot of the world was Sabiha Gökçen Mustafa Kemal Ataturks step daughter around 1935 i think she flew bombers and other combat planes

  • When is the premier??

  • Tgis is so cool im studying about Amelia Earhart in my class =]

  • @ArianaThorne Me too!in 6th grade right?

  • @ArianaThorne So am I,In 6th Grade right?

  • #

Buzz0Killington : WTF !!! Will you just shut up for a second! Jeez!

  • @Buzz0Killington Haha. Good one

  • @Buzz0Killington Yeah.....i think everybody got that down

  • The trailer deserves five stars. However, the actual film isn't worth it and is filled with inaccuracies. It is her worst disaster in 72 years.

  • My family was raised in the Atchison Kansas area and it's amazing that there are no tributes to Amelia in that town. What an incredible lady!

  • She is an icon for me. A real hero and inspiration. I have to say that I watched the movie and it was excellent.

  • Resist the NWO ;)

  • I did a history project on Amelia Earhart in yr 8

  • Gosh I have just watched this trailer. Did not even know it was out last year!! Must go find it on DVD now.

  • AWESOME acting, scenes, history and glory! LOVED IT! There is more to life than being a passenger. Hilary Swank even looks like the real Amelia! Beautiful!

  • This movie was amazing. One of my favorites.

  • why this film was not nominated for an oscar???

  • im thankful at the end i saw already the amelia earhart story..

  • i thought there's no movie out yet about amelia...

  • This movie looks so good but i read that it was critically panned. But i still wanna see it because i have found myself to love films that critics hated, who knows...

  • Where can I get the audio for this wonderful piece?

  • Spammers are what happens when administrators don't do their job.

  • there's more to life, than being a passenger...

  • Like like!

  • robert bashlee put his hands on these planes...

  • What do you think of the rumor that she and her navigator were captured by the Japs when she flew over one of their secret island forts then beheaded all in secret

  • She was so ahead of her time, she was like the Lady Gaga of the 30's...I don't think we'll ever know what happened to her.

  • @Halsdorf Lady Gaga does not even compare to this fine American Woman. Why even use their names in the same breath is beyond me!

  • I wish I could've met Amelia Earhart.

  • @MrEric177 omg i noe like it fells i have some sort a connection with her since i was little i have always her stories i noe shes out there dead!!!!! =[ i hope i can be like her but not die!

  • SPAM

  • As a South African aviation enthusiast I really enjoyed this move as most of the aircraft used I've flown in or know. If you're ever in Johannesburg then be sure to visit Rand Airport where you will find most of these aircraft.

  • Can you guys stop fucking posting where you watched the movie? No one gives a shit....

  • R.I.P. Amelia Earhart
