If Iniesta's shot had went wide you would have heard nothing about the referee's performance. I thought Hiddink let himself down in his interview afterwards aswell, first it was five or six penalty incidents, then it was 3 or 4. From what I remember there was five
1. The one in the first half when I think it was Malouda was obstructed outside the box, then carried on and fell in the box. Initial foul was outside the box so I think the ref got it right in giving a free kick.
2. 2nd half Drogba goes through,someone chasing him, grabs his shirt briefly then Drogba dives. I don't think this is a penalty either. It's a contact sport, and the defender with his hand on Drogba did not halt Drogba's run. Once Drogba realised he wasn't going to get the ball, he dived.
3. Drogba through again, Toure chasing him, both jostling for the ball, Toure makes a great challenge. Drogba dives again and rolls about like a salmon. No penalty and correct decision.
4. The ball hits Pique's hand as Anelka tries to knock the ball by him. I think Chelsea's best shout for a penalty. But Pique didn't move his hand towards the ball, the ball hit his hand and he had no time to move. Plus see law 12 , earlier
5. Corner comes in Ballack hits it Eto turns his back and ball hits him somewhere between his back and top of arm. This is never a penalty in my opinion, it's hit right at him, he has no time to react.

I think 1,3 and 5 are definitely not penalties.They may have a case for 2&4, with 2 though I don't think Drogba was properly impeded to warrant a penalty. 4 is their best shout . After about 65,70 minutes of the game I thought the ref had given Chelsea everything. And although I don't think he had a great game, he got most if not all of the penalty decisions correct.

I think 1,3 and 5 are definitely not penalties.They may have a case for 2&4, with 2 though I don't think Drogba was properly impeded to warrant a penalty. 4 is their best shout . However Barca got a man sent off unfairly which probably evened it up. Plus, noone seems to mention the time wasting Drogba was doing before he got subbed.Pretending to go down with a head injury so the referee has to stop play immediately and then he gets up a few minutes later fine.

@deepbg1 I'm not a clelsea fan. In fact i kinda dislike chelsea, however, chelsea worked their sox off in that game, and they got 4 penalties disallowed. UEFA is corrupt. Almost all of the high positions in UEFA, there sits a former Barca player, or one who grew up in Barcelona. Barca have a good team, but it is clear that the refs sides with them, quz UEFA want them to.

I love how sad humans think barca payed the ref look at pep look at the bench they worked their asses off and guess what....The ref is fucking HUMAN!!!! He isn't perfect he is a human!!!!!!!
