Where is this singer now? I used to be secretary to his producer,Al Lao. And he used to frequent the office somewhere in Quiapo. And I got to see him do his recordings. I'm not Ilocano though but I do know his songs were hits among the Ilocanos then. So where are you now Danny?

I have been looking for this song for a very long time! Am a Davao born Ilocano, my parents taught us never to forget our dialect and roots thus this song was carve in our home in the 70s when I was growing up. My late father use to have a cache of ilocano vinyl album and was very proud to play it every dawn, this is what I had inherited from him- A LOVE FOR ILOCANO SONGS which every sunrise had been where ever I am. This is one way of teaching the new generation never to forget their roots!

@Pfutztie Cheers to you! I am an Ilocano myself and I've been living most of my adult life far away from our native land but I always gravitate back to Ilocano songs. Sadly though, many Ilocano I know found some pleasure speaking Tagalog even if they're speaking to a fellow Ilocano. It makes me cringe. Not that I despise Tagalog, we need it, but roots are roots and they can never change that.
