  • Sucks they killed the audio!

  • Sure do wish they would turn the audio back on for this vid!

  • ummmm,,I think that saw be a husky ;)

  • The dude cutting you are my idol , you the man, i liked the way you moved around that big tree had a good rhythm going and i liked how all your cuts matched up nicely effort less.

  • good on ya m8 from a logger in new zealand

  • Looks like tight quarters. Easy to see how folks get hurt on the west coast. We cut a few oaks 7' or bigger but only one job in 10 has any real big trees like that down here in TN. I have such a job coming up this summer or fall. I am going to video tape the monster oaks no one seems to think exist. LOL Great video!

  • @pbunyon2002 You motherfuckers did not cut any 7 foot oaks in Tennesee. I fell a red oak that was tickeling 74'' and Shenandoah Hardwoods said it was the biggest log they had seen in 20 years or more. They had to rip it to even get it on the saw. . .

    And I got pictures. . .

  • @o56kid Wow kiddo! I don't care what you cut or where you cut it. You are more than welcome to come to TN so I can take you to those huge stumps that are still there. Maybe you'd like to suck on one of them too. haha Southern Logging Times has pics of the trees I cut. I am about to cut MORE trees over 6ft next week. You wanna come help?? LOL We don't need ya. Oh and why would you yap about trees in Virginia? Get a life.

  • @pbunyon2002 Nice try dude, I don't believe a word of it. Maybe show me a link or email me a pic or something, but those claims are just too outlandish. . I cant let duplicity like that go unchecked. .

in fact I'l be back in VA in late June for a month or so. Gonna have plenty of time on my hands. So sure Il take you up on your offer, make sure those stumps don't disappear now haha.

  • @o56kid Okay 'dude' You are going to be about 8-10 hours away but if you want to make the trip reply again and I will meet you in Fayetteville TN then you can follow me 30 or so miles to two different sights where there are stumps, white oak and red oak, 7+ feet across. However I am a fireline faller also and will be headed to the NW when forest fires get rolling out there. So get here asap and maybe you can help me cut some other monsters that are blown down by these recent storms....LOL

  • @pbunyon2002 Trying to close on a home right now, or Id be visiting already.

  • that man is like wow good, whoa

  • bro, you seriously loggin' in sweat pants? lol

  • I love how any cutting vid gets the most ridiculous debates about sustainable forestry and what is considered "old growth". I can guarantee that not a single soul here, myself included is an authority on that or any other topic about the forest. The only thing I will say is this, we NEED wood, and the 24cm Lodgepole Pine growing in the interior of BC is "old growth", don't forget that.

    Great cut! Well done!

  • Good fall, You handle your saw real well.

  • Nice soft wood! All we get in the land of Oz is hard wood!

  • Nice work. The 660 performed well.

  • this guy knows whats up,it appears his cuts match well.nice fall

  • How did you move the bucked logs?

  • No chaps?Wait till you cut your leg with thatthing.

  • I imagine in the future we will think a three footer is an awfully big tree.

  • Nice job !

  • Man that is some big tree! I would know where to start to bring that thing down. Nice vid.

  • nice drop man !!! ,who's playin? that last tune was sick !!!! :D

  • Band- Five Finger Death Punch

    Song- The bleeding

  • Thats the name of the first song but not sure who sings the other ones.

  • Were would we be with out stihl :)

  • good job man!!!

    i love stihl...

  • Nice command of English there, Todd. lol.

  • transdrole = troll douche

I love seeing eastcoasters tell us out west how we should take care of our environment, when the worst environmental damage has occurred back there. There aren't many trees like this being cut anymore since there are hardly any mills around capable of processing them compared to even a couple decades ago. And YES, there ARE some products that can't be made out of smaller trees, like wooden ship spars and enormous structural beams that must be very high-grade.

  • Transdrole if you know so munch about the woods maybe u should read title caption "fallin a 7' 2" fir SNAG", snag logger term for a dead tree

  • I'm not the ignorant one. ALL the products you mention can be had with plantation wood or younger wild growth. There is NO NEED to cut the 5% of largest and oldest trees. I'm not from the city. I live in Maine and have 25 acres of woodlot (not much I know) that I manage for future timber profit. I cut trees, but SENSIBLY and sustainably. Cutting trees 12 or even 24 feet in diameter is a real shame and you should be ashamed doing it. My house and my TP were not made from old growth!

  • You cut a cedar 24 ft across? The sooner you're out of work, the better. I bet you'd dump oil in our water supply if it came with a paycheck.

  • U read the paper, u live in a wood house, u burn fossile fuel, u people that live in the CITIES amaze me at your ignorance , where did that come from, all good if u ain"t falling the tree

  • I first started falling 30 yrs ago ive seen Douglas Firs as big as 12 ft across. This is on Vancouver Isl, British Columbia, Canada. Biggest tree i ever fell was 24 ft across, Western Red Cedar. SYNDlKT, if you new about falling you would know he is not looking at the camera, he keeps checking his aim when he is putting in the under cut, there is a little line on your saw that is at a 90 degrees to your bar and you use that to aim the tree where you want to fall it.

  • SYNDIKT does not have a clue..... djwintz said it... he is double checking aim, and keeping an eye on his surroundings. He could have dropped it on a dime.

  • How big do Douglas Fir get?

  • ya you can run a 42" bar and chain on a stock 660 mag it just wont be as fast as the vid

  • what is the difference between a 660 and a 660 magnum, im from the uk and have never heard of a magnum? Cheers

  • ive actually never heard of just a plain old 660... all 660s are as the plate on top says ms 660 which stands for magnum stihl 660 aka 660 mag

  • i see, just never seen it on a saw, nor in the catalogue, thought maybe the magnum had more punch than 660, but now i know, just bought one with a 30" bar, looking forward to using it! Cheers

  • well it has a coupla cc's more i run a 42" bar with full comp chiesel bit no prob... but i have a triple port muffler and a port and polish

  • no such thing as triple porting just porting itself

  • dnt comment on things u dnt know kalob35... stock exhaust has 1 count em 1 exhaust port... thus by addin one exhaust port u gett a dual port add 2 u get a triple port muffler!

  • u can port somethin 3 time but it dnt mean a triple port...........just ported alot

  • like i said before dnt comment on stuff u dnt know! ask anyone an exhaust with 3 ports is a triple port!

  • haha wow u dnt know much bout em do u i have 4 triple ported saws 1 is 15 yrs old and still runs ike a top and the others are 8 yrs old and are used everyday cuttin timber and run better than new

  • ha ha nice joke dumbass.................maybe u dnt work out like i do dipshit

  • hey how bout u just shut ur mouth bout stuff u dnt knoe a*******! anyone with a brain knows the triple port out perform and last longer than stock saws

  • Comment removed

  • Nicely done. but I hope you look UP as much as you did at the camera when there's no filmers around.

  • hey bud, awesome video... hey can you run a 42" inch bar on a bone stock 660 as long you run a skip tooth chain?

  • love the 660

  • excellent job! its always a joy to watch another pro at work!

  • must of been a true honor to cut a tree that big

  • he's a lumberjack and he's OK. The only thing

he did wrong is he should be wearing a plaid

    shirt.

  • thats a bullshit sterotype

  • sounded like a bomb went off when it hit the ground.

  • My Dad was a logger yay!

  • first tree looks dead coz of da chips

  • bark of a big spruce always colors that way when cutting it!

  • What did you say? You fell on a big tree with a Poulan electric chain saw? LOL

  • poulan,craftsman,black and decker r toys

husqvarna and stihl r 4 real men but stihl last longer than husky

  • yer right i have a poulan use it around the house for when storms knock down branhes does good and thats about it i used a husqvana at the farm i worked at and it did the big jobs worked good still prefure stihl though

  • ive used lots of saw i personally likke husky/jonsered,but ui like stihl alot also if they had better filteration systems and non-vibration systems they would be the best but stihl outlast every other saw so stihl is the moist dominat

  • @kalob35 i beg to differ on that one.

  • @dirtjump11 yea husky is all i run now stihls suck

  • your a complete dumb ass aprecciate the video

  • This is truly a professional job I admire the style and precision of your cutting. I cut trees several times a week and run a Stihl ms441 ported saw with a 32" bar and full skip chain

  • That guys a damn good cutter.

  • mad skills!!!

  • How did you put five finger death punch on your video? I tried using the audio swap and it didn't let me choose the artists i wanted to choose for any of my videos.

  • This is the way it's done! Saws a part of him.

  • if the prices werent in the dumps rite now probably 10 to 15 grand or more

  • Anyone have any idea for a price for that tree?

  • Q: why not a boring back cut? Woulda left more holding wood. Not criticizin' -- tryin' to learn.

  • Nice work!

    Great soundtrack as always! \m/

  • Thats how ya fell a tree!!!!

  • whats the song

  • fan va bra

  • Dusty bastard. Great vid!

  • when did the 066 become a little saw i guess there are no 066"s no more

  • that SNAG was as dead as all hell its a good thing where abouts was this at we use to cut hazard trees in country that looks like that around odell lake in oregon

  • Next time less music, more saw....but way awesome nonetheless....

  • around 300 to 400 yrs old

  • I wonder how old that tree was.

  • fucking old fir havent ever seen a good one

  • you said in your info it's a snag? Fricking huge snag. Lucky guy...

  • Check out douglas dent.... Snags not so lucky to cut.. sure the hit the ground and go bang, but; ARE they worth the danger????

  • NICE bit of felling

  • nice job.fire wood for like ever,or alot of lumber.nice fall.

  • lol forever X2

  • i wish we had a few more trees like that around here half the big one are in town

  • dam and whats the first song

  • Its a band called "Five finger Death Punch" and the song is called "The Bleeding".

  • how tall was the tree? 150- 180 feet

  • great video

  • where did you cut this three??? really big man

  • Not that Tree Sling'r needs me to defend him, but 1) he does this for a living, and he knows what he's doing, ihaveairlockers... and 2) he explained this was a road side snag that needed to come down before it came down on it's own on top of someone.

  • encondie try wiping your ass with a pine cone. Stihl power!

  • hippies dont wipe there asses, they cant because their head is in the way

  • did you see all the dust coming out of the tree when he first started the cut, that means the tree was dead all the way to the outer most parts of the tree. it would only be a matter of time before it fell down anyways, and why not remove it to let the other trees in the area grow? the people who completely object to this are only being selfish and not thinking of the forests overall good.

  • i support the timber industy also but i gotta say your wrong about the tree being dead. all the dust is from the bark of the tree. on a fir that big id say the bark is about 1/2 - 3/4 of an ich thick

  • shut up

  • you are the rabbit cunt...

like they said, if you dont like it, dont ever buy charmin to wipe your hippie ass.. cause with out loggers, there would be no ass wipe paper for all you al gore faggot lovers

  • Hello !!! First one : THATS A FUCKING BIG TREE !!

And then i've got a question !!! What is the name of the second song in this great video, I love this song !!! Is it from the same band : 5 Finger Death Punch ??? Greetings and thank you !!!

  • thats a monster doug. fir ....thats right STIHL ALL THE WAY!

  • HELL YEAH!

  • i would give my left nut to sink my saw into a tree like that damn man i gotta move out west nice video STIHL ROCKS

  • HELL YEAH!

  • Nice video buddy. What song was that by the way?

  • I have a question

Do you use the inverted notch cut to keep the butt end flat or is there another reason?

you did a nice job on that, I have never had the pleasure of felling anything bigger than 50" diameter here on the east coast and it was pretty damn cool to see that baby hit the ground........keep them flopping...

  • 1) No safety glasses.

    2) Cutting at head height often.

    3) Taking 1 hand off the saw.

    4) Holding saw in hard to control manner.

    5) Bending over leg-height sawing.

A 660 is a powerful saw that bites and kicks.

At the end of the video he is standing on the tree stump obviously looking at a ring that told the story of a cold winter 100 years ago...

    Poor tree.

And before you go getting angry, I own and use a 660,460 and a 009 Stihl. I am no greeny.

  • did you use the wood for firewood? if you did it would be a pain in the ass too split!

  • Road side hazard removal, 2/3 of the tree was cull.

  • if you have a tree tht big dont use a chainsaw. use a tree cutting truck with one of those big 12 foot saws

  • It is more fun like this

  • thats a big ass fucking tree

  • Who is playing in the background? Bad ass Jam!

  • five finger death band

  • its 5 finger death punch

  • big tree.

  • love your work

  • Nice tunes...good job.

  • I do this with a husky. And our trees are 3-4 feet in diameter

  • husky blows

  • yea right.

  • just yankin your chain

  • husky sux........it can't compare with ms660..stihl is more powerful and lighter then husky

  • its all personal preference.

  • look i want to say ms660: 7.1 hp and 7.5kg... it's a beast with small weight....and husky: 395xp: 8.1kg, 6.6hp......if you don't belive me go to offical website of stihl and husky...sory for my bad english...stihl rox

  • I know they are beasts. I like stihl, too. I just like the ergonomics of huskys more, and they have alot of models in the 70 to 100cc range.

  • Husky lol. amatures saw. any real woodsman knows STIHL all the way.

  • it's is stihl u ....
