  • Fox News credibility is very high, just Mrs Bachmann's

  • too bad bush and cheney were too busy playing geopolitics...badly. They took their eye off the ball in Afghanistan and now almost 9 years later, that war has no end in sight. NATO allies are fed up after 8-9 years of fighting that could have been over had the neocons not dropped the ball. They fubar-ed the region from the Middle East to Central Asia so badly, Afghanistan is probably lost.

Bachman is just trying to score political points by spewing nonsense. She is a subsidy accepting hypocrite.

  • she believes in the constittion. she is a true american.

    obama is a liar....

  • NEWS ALERT NEWS ALERT NEWS ALERT

Bachmann Farm Subsidies: Anti-Handout Rep. Personally Got $250K!!!!

FOX NEWS WILL NOT CARRY THIS STORY

  • Joeycons., yes, her family did, in fact receive farm subsidies, but ALL dairy farms receive subsidies..

  • Seems like to me that dairy farmer Bachmann is a socialist.

  • hmm. must be.

  • @joeyconservative

HER FAMIL,Y MEANING HER PARENTS recieved farm subsidies. .not her personally. MOM and DAD. big difference.

  • i think she has lost her damn mind.

  • Representative Bachmann, a true Patriot.

Really looking forward to 2010 when Conservatives and Republicans take the lions share of the seats again...let the repeal process begin!

  • First, I thought Republicans wanted to be fiscally conservative: proposed spending should be offset by taxes or cuts elsewhere.

Second, it isn't Obama's fault that other countries are not sending more troops into an unpopular war that most foreign countries didn't want to fight in the first place.

Third, she can vote against the troop surge, but then she can't call Obama weak on defense.

Fourth, we must train Afghans so that we can eventually leave.

Fifth, I didn't hear an alternative.

  • first: the Republicans in office right now aren't conservative.

Second: our allies don't want to send troops because Obama does nothing about how to wage war much less win one; and I'm sure they don't want to bury their troops for nothing like he's doing to ours.

  • third: Bachmann wouldn't be voting against the surge except for the leadership in the white house is shit. As a soldier would you want to go fight a war in fagistan and die when you know the ultimate end to that war is a loss anyway? To die for nothing? I'd vote against it too.

fourth: if the Afghans weren't so ignorant and backassward we could leave. But because they're not, we have to stay and win period because Pakistan has nuclear weapons which poses a threat to the entire world.

  • Fifth: Yes you have heard an alternative to Ass-bama's plan, STAY AND WIN THE WAR. Bush said it when he was president, we cannot wage war on the Domino's pizza timeline. We are not to win this war in 30 minutes or less, we have to be there for the long haul. That's what America wanted after 9/11, security at home. Only the United States can stabilize Afghanistan and educate the populace enough to understand they have something to fight for if they want a future.

  • It is utterly unfortunate that we have to take responsibility for the rest of the world today ...because they aren't adult enough to be civil and peaceful or tolerant of others. Unfortunately we created that situation when we developed biological nuclear and chemical weapons to defend ourselves against the communists (which we owe no apologies for). The ultimate and to every high-tech weapon created (like the crossbow, rifle, tank) is it's common availability to all people eventually.

  • People don't want to hear it but the plane truth is George Bush did exactly what George Bush had to do after 9/11. Obama on the other hand is moving this country backwards. He's giving up our ability to defend ourselves believing somehow the world will respond and act in kind if we are stupid and naïve enough to trust megalomaniacs to grow a conscience.

  • We aren't in this predicament because George Bush chose to go to war to protect this nation, we are in this predicament because we didn't do something about these crazy ideological religious zealots (Islam) long before George Bush was even President. Reagan proved that strength and only strength is respected by the world. We should have learned ( from Hitler) that taking no action is far more dangerous to the world than waiting until there is a REAL threat.

  • The world does not respect America (it never has) and Barack Obama is doing more to hurt this country and our credibility in it in the long run than he will ever achieve by kissing the world's ass by ignorantly dropping our defenses and giving them their way every time they stop their feet like little children. global warming etc.. has only one purpose to destroy our economic viability as a nation so that we are finally vulnerable to the whims of weaker nations like North Korea or Iran.

  • I would call 9 years a significant slice of time. My main problem with Bush wasn't that he seiged war in Afghanistan but he didn't finish the job. I have the same criticism of Iraq which (to me) was more a war of choice but if he was going to go to war then win the damn thing by sending enough troops, having a plan in place, and an winning/exit strategy. If Bush took care of business, our military would be in a better position to deal with Iran, N. Korea, etc... Instead our troops are tired.

  • I would agree with MOST of what you said but I have to question whether Bush was "ALLOWED" to take care of business as president. The hate BS being spewed by the left started even before he was elected president, less than 100 days later we were cleaning up two fallen buildings in New York ...and nine years isn't that much to give up for permanent security considering the fact that we've been in Korea and Germany for more than 50. No, as a matter of fact Iraq went pretty damn well under Bush.

  • And not to insult you baio but this is exactly what I'm talking about when I talk about when I'm talking about the McDonald's and Domino's pizza culture in America today, "get it in 30 minutes or less". People in America are spoiled. There's no way of even being assured we were going to win that war ...and we actually won faster than the Bush administration thought. The only real mistake they made was not preserving the Iraqi army to take over immediately, so we had rebuild. it took nine years

  • But at least Bush's policies aren't based on hurting and blaming America for every damn thing that's ever gone wrong in the world like Obama's. And I don't see the Republicans stifling and standing in the way of every action being taken by Obama to win the war ... if his actions were actually perceived as an attempt to win the war at all?? From what I see his intentions are to get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan whether we win or lose, as if 9/11 was our fault???

  • The downfall of Bush was that he trusted the wrong people. Rumsfeld won the argument over sending way fewer troops than other military officials wanted. It worked for defeating the hopelessly underarmed Iraqi forces but also left the country completely unsecured after the military campaign. We're not even having this discussion if Rummy sends in an extra 100,000 troops to do clean up work and allow the Iraqi infrastructure to repair itself before chaos rained down. He cost us money and lives

  • I wholeheartedly agree, but my point was neither Bush or Rumsfeld was being allowed by Congress to send the extra 100,000 troops to do the cleanup work. Just like Obama refuses to send 30,000 now, but I don't hear anybody on the left bitching about that ...and he's doing exactly what Bush did. It's hardly Bush's fault. Bush was but one cog in the big war machine. Congress should be blamed for not moving as well.

  • You have to think about this logically for a minute. The reason Bush didn't commit to Afghanistan like Iraq is because the war we're fighting is not going to be won in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is nothing more than dirt. We need to fight intelligently, not for rocks. We can't kill the entire Muslim population (because they're all terrorists) so what we do need to do is to cut off financing, weapons etc.. That's why Iraq, Pakistan and Iran are far more important than Afghanistan.

  • That's also why I don't believe we should be in Afghanistan, other than to kill Osama bin Laden, and that should be done publicly and most heinously!! And I'm talking about filming his body parts being chopped off! We can't close the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, or shall I say won't close the border, therefore why are we sending our troops to die and why are we waiting six months for Obama to make a decision??? I wonder how many died because of that? You either commit or you don't

  • I tend to find Americans are very simplistic in that way they believe wars are fought and won. You don't just scream "charge" and rush into the valley of death. I don't believe that Bush thought there was a reason to commit to winning Afghanistan outright as much as he thought committing to win in Iraq would give us a foothold to win in Iran and a foothold in Pakistan driving terrorists into a position where they couldn't win or would die trying. His strategy made perfect sense.

  • I agree that is why "victory" isn't really possible. You cannot defeat an idea. However, you can have success against the movement and like it or not, Obama attempting to "fight intellingently" with the limited resources he has.

The difference in the situation the administration faces today and the one that Bush faced was that our troops have had 3-5 combat shifts and the amount of available troops would not support much more than the ~48,000 extra troops committed since March of this year.

  • Michele Bachmann is strong, agressive, glamorous, and sexy. She defends the Bill of Rights, and stands tall in Congress.

  • This is what happens when you send a boy to do a mans job.Obama will probably go down in history as the man least prepared to lead a country.Americans voted for a community organizer and gave him the responsibility of leading a country at war.He has already stated many times that winning is not important,I wonder what the cadets think about that.

  • Obama couldn't manage a McDonald's. But I wouldn't expect an entire nation of McDonald's employees to know any different.

  • Damn, sweetbilly you spoke the truth. It's the Mcdonald's empoyees that elected this guy, and it will be these same employees that attempt to elect him again in 2012. These are the same union, special interest thugs that he keeps throwing money at. It's no wonder why they elect him.

  • I always speak the truth Txman. The key word here is "attempt" to reelect this asshole. I think most of America has finally gotten wise to Obama's BS, (they should've listened to us a year ago) he'll be rejected in the next election for the likes of Sarah Palin. The real question here is can America overcome special interest thugs and socialist unions to get rid of this man? See Obama throws money at the Fed, through overtaxation of us, because he is owned by the unions and big corporations.

  • awesome 10+

  • As a Minnesotan I would like to point that anything Bachman says should be ignored. Here is a fact about her. The district she represents has the highest number of foreclosures (1100) in the state yet she has voted against all foreclosure relief legislation. Having said that I am opposed to sending more troops to Afghanistan but not for the reasons Bachman does. Any Republican who says they are against a troop increase is a hypocrite because they supported Bush when he started this mess.

  • Ignorant because there are 1100 foreclosures in here district? Since when the fuck is it government's job to pay your mortgage because you bought a house you could not afford? As a self-employed taxpayer I object to paying higher taxes because some twit was irrisponsibe buying a home with a note too high so they can impress people. There are plenty of section 8 apartments for rent fed will help you with if you are one of the irresponsible.

  • Also I am for a troop increase. We will never succeed at fighting the terrorist that are hiding if we run like a bunch of pussy's. You will only when in number unless of course we have another Hiroshima. That would work for me as far as I am concerned. Nuke them and come the fuck home. We would have been in and out in 6 months had we done that and showed those fuckers we mean buisness. Funny how everyone forgets about the over 3000 casualties in New York on 9/11!

  • You are an ignorant troll to say the least. I suggest you go crawl back under the bridge that you live under. Now shut your commie cocksucker and move to cuba if you like the idea of a socialist dictatorship!!!!

  • He is the Commander in Chief and has more information than anyone else regarding this issue. I trust his decision and the decision of general mcchrystal and of course I fully expect the republicans to be opposed.

  • smartasswhip--

you have just been off the reservation lately. (figure of speech) you have gotten meaner, nastier, and it's nice as always to see you.

presidents are always privy to maximum info regarding the military and everything else, they still make bad decisions.

if you trust mccrystal then you need know that he asked for a MINIMUM OF 40,ooo. what obama has done to earn your trust, i can't imagine.

should republicans support something that they and their constituents are opposed to?

  • I did actually just get back from South Dakota. I was visiting friends and family back home for the past week. It was nice. I'm still the same me not meaner or nastier.. It's just that time of the month (TMI) and I am tired and grouchy as it's been a long trip. I like the way Obama thinks. I don't think he would intentionally screw us over as I have seen no examples of that in his history. They should always support what the majority of the people in their areas want.

  • Bachmann must become the next Speaker or the next President.

NO ONE ELSE in the House is concerned with the Constitution, or our economic power.

  • Bachmann is the biggest idiot in Congress. She will say anything with no regard for the truth. I heard someone suggest a Palin/Bachmann ticket. Palin would then have the opportunity to give the cocession speach she was denied giving after the McCain loss.

  • Bachmann is just another idiot like Palin, but with better hair!

  • deficit only happens in a year and obama is president the last time I checked

  • by october of 2008 the national debt had risen to $11.3 trillion, due president bush's spending, that was a huge increase from 2000 when the debt was $5.6 trillion. mainly because of his stupid tax cuts, and the wars, one war (Iraq )which was the most stupid mistake by far bush made, and he made many

  • "due president bush's spending"

--And Obama, because of the assistance of Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd, and the other Liberal minions in Congress, was able to TRIPLE that 8 years worth of spending in just nine months.

Oh, and he was able to work in more golf outings in that 9 months than W did in 3 years.

  • Obama has surpassed the amount Bush has got us into debt in less than one year. I suggest you do your homework better mainly in math. The debt is 12.1 trillion dollars as of this posting. Was barely 9 trillion when he took office. I do not agree with the spending Bush had done either but lets not kid each other. If you are going to critisize the war then by all means go ahead. But do not sit here acting like Bush has spent more than Obama in 1/8 of the time.

  • im not critizing the war in Afghanistan, im critzing the war in Iraq. i believe that Afganistan is a place we can not lose, if we leave Afganistan then we will have a other 9/11. i was mad at Bachmann saying that Obama has no goal in Afganistan, Obama does, fight the Taliban, and the spending it is all obama has done it is necessary, remember President Clinton increased the federal budget by 11 percent In eight years, President Bush increased it by a whopping 104 percent. thats not a lot to you

  • now I agree with you on the war but when id comes down to debt you cant compare because the 2009 year didn't end yet but when the year ends it will be 13.5 trillion thats 2 trillion more. also if you supported the war in Afghanistan Obama whats to leave there in 18 months so he is making a big mistake also if his freedom taken Health Care passes (The Senate) you can say goodbye to the US Dollar

  • They are printing so much money now so that they do not have to borrow as much money. Over the next year or 2 we are fixing to see the effects of what hyperinflation will be doing to criple this next. Job losses are still going up. Only went down 0.02% percent due to temporary holiday season jobs. Wait till you see the job losses from January till about May. It will be 11 or 12 percent by then. The hyperinflation kicks in some months later. 1929 was nothing comapred to the delima we face soon.

  • We still have to borrow all the money they print, this is what people need to start waking up too, the federal reserve is not part of the goverment, they are for profit bank, it is in their intrest to keep pumping money into the system.

  • You're right, the Federal Reserve isn't part of the Federal government, it's a private institution created by air late 20th century progressives. An institution supported by Democrats who lie and tax America to death to cover their own asses when community reinvestment acts blow up in their face. So they just tell Americans the economy is going to crash if we don't get your money NOW, like a televangelist. And isn't Ron Paul a Republican? Put down the Alex Jones he's a just another fruitloop.

  • Tis true that we buy the money that is printed. It is not in our best interest to keep pumping money in. It is driving the dollar's value further down. Every dollar pumped in has to be borrowed. The debt and fast it is growing is alarming. But of course liberals keep pumping money in because it is unsustanable. Liberals want the system to crash so they can jump in with their socialist agendas. That is the only way they can take it over.

  • Perhaps you failed to read what I wrote please look up to see that I critisize Bush for his spending as well. The money Obama has spent is not neccesary. The money has spent has done nothing. Look at unemployment. How he can he say he has created or saved 1 Million jobs? Unemployment was barely 6% when he said we had to pass this stimulus bill. Also said unemployment would no exceed 8%. Well if you are somewhat intelligent you can see that was a lie too.

  • As for the war in Iraq there are plenty of taliban there too. You have to be present and both places to succeed. Or else they flee right back to Iraq. Secondly the retarted fuck has no plan for afghanistan when his speech on more troops includes bringing them home in 18 months. You need to see what progress is made before making such premature statements. He said troops were coming home when he took office. They do not need to come home yet, just putting on of Obamas many lies out there...

  • You critisize Iraq because all your concerned with is cutting Bush down and blaming him for every problem out there. In your eyes if Obama does it then its ok. Stop playing with that mentality and open your eyes for a minute. This country will be so fucked up by the time Obama's 4 years are up he will never even make the ballot to try for re-election. As a matter of fact we will probably be in a depression that would make old folks want to go back and live in 1929 again! Cant spend our way out.

  • We cannot spend Trillions of dollars on war and spend nothing on helping out our fellow cictezens, this madness must come to an end.

END THE DAMNED WARS BEOFRE THEY END US.

Check this out...a US soldier makes about 25k a year, the taxpayer pays ONE MILLION DOLLARS per year per soldier a fact that is confirmed on the floor of the US Senate. A terrorist gets paid about 12k a year. So for about 50k yet get almost a million in profit, no ownder these wars will NEVER end.

  • Put someone with REAL BALLS into the White House, Bachmann 2012.

  • Bachmann, really? who's going to be her running mate that other idiot Palin, no dick cheney. lol

  • That's what gov't is suppose to do is keep it's people safe. That's why we pay pay taxes to begin with. I think their spending is getting in the way of many things. Like things they should be doing already. Now they want a war tax ? Noone should pay that tax, these are things they should be doing already. Please stop with your ninsense. Come on 2010 2012. Both sides better look at their bad habits. The conservative movement is on, And it's all about less beurocratic nonsense. Congresscrooks!!!!

  • People are tired of this, tax after-tax after-tax after-tax. The economy is dead and it isn't George Bush's fault. he refuses to place any blame on people who share his religious views of Osama bin Laden, the Fort Hood shooter etc... I'd like to ask Representative Bachmann to begin the process of impeaching Barack Obama NOW!!! We cannot tolerate three more years of what's happening under this administration. This is a bloody nightmare!

  • conservative war mongering -- ww2 $3.2 trillion iraq/afghan $700 billion Vietnam $670 billion WARonPOVERTY WWI $364 billion 6.8 TRilliON Korea $295 billion Persian Gulf $94 billion Civil War $81 billion Spanish-American $7 billion Revolution $4 billion Mexico $2 billion 1812 $1 billion under 6 trillion
  • When I was in the navy 12 years ago, it costed 5 million dollars a day to operate on aircraft carrier, and I think we have 11 of them, and not all of them run off of nuclear fuel so it cost, like to million to refuel ships that are not nuclear powered.

  • theLordtaiko--

    5 million for a carrier---

does that cover meals and drinks?

what dp you think of this-

    SailCarrierClass?

they'd be limited to operating in the paths of hurricanes and monsoons, but its worth a try

operating and upkeep occured while i was typing it. i decided to go ahead and post anyway since it's an interesting chart.

  • The reason the country is going to the shit hole is due to PROGRESSIVES! (This movement goes back to Teddy Roosevelt & Taft) Today they are mostly Democrats and RINO's mainly...these are socialist, fascists! The American people today are sorry ass misfits that can't figure out that it will take a shooting war to purge them from our system of a Constitutional Representative Republic! We are NOT a Democracy! Read the Constitution, oh wait you can't read...as a product of the public school system.

  • No the reason the country is going to shit is because of the Federal reserve and the other international bankers and people are to stupid to see they are enslaving the world.

  • NEWS FLASH BACK AT YA OBAMITE! It wasn't Republicans that passed the CRA act which caused the economic meltdown, and it wasn't the republicans that were busy suing banks for not making BAD loans It was Ass-bummer who was working for Acorn!!

  • "War mongering"?? hahahah You mean how like Clinton sent our troops to Somalia to get hung from bridges for absolutely nothing (like Ass-bama now has planned for our troops in Fagistan??) or do you mean like in Kosovo where Christians were being attacked by more islamic religious fanatics??

Gee...that's a pretty yellow streak you have down your back, pussy! ....now how about supporting America for a change you Nazi, American hating, Eurotrash POS!

  • We conservative republicans watched for YEARS as you fucking moron demon-crats got us into deeper and deeper in shit with every fucking policy you've ever devised dating clear back to the commie peanut farmer!! Now that your bullshit has finally caught up with you and America see's you for what you are don't talk to me about the fed reserve and warmongering

  • ...because it's not the Republicans buying car companies and bailing out foreign banks because of the CRA act passed under Clinton. It's not the Republicans that ignored the Cole bombing and the first twin towers bombing ....and Bush was only 100 days of his term when Clinton cowardice (the yellow streak up his back) caught up with us on 9/11. We're ALWAYS fixing your fuck ups! ...and we'll be fixing your precious ghetto messiah's fuck up's next! Asshole!

  • We are fucking sick to death of your political correctness destroying this country, stealing our money and enslaving us and our children to the fucking Chinese so you can provide homes to dead beat Negros and illegals ..it's just best we you let you have your way and let the American people get rid of you libtards themselves as they now see your bullshit with their own eyes, New Jersey was just the beginning! Demon-crat party is FINALLY FINISHED! ...and you can thank your messiah for that one.

  • Your pecious republicans are on the same team as the democrats, they use those labels to divide people while they do the same shit, they are work for the bankers except a few, ron paul, alan greyson and others like them are the only people who knows what the fuck is going on the rest work for the bankers and the debt and deficit does not matter as long as the federal reserve excist.

  • Oh I don't disagree with most of what you said, i.e. the Federal Reserve etc... But you made one mistake the people you are calling Republicans aren't true conservative Republican at all, they're right leaning Democrats. Alan Greyson is a another moron Democrat trying to push through Obama's Nazi-care "Mr. Republicans want you to die" guilt trip bullshit. Talk about people who don't know what's going on.

  • Buying into your premise that everything bad that has ever happened is the fault of democrats, why did "conservative republicans watch for YEARS" without trying to do something about it, especially since there were 5 Republican Presidential terms in the past 30 years and ~12 years of Republican majorities in the legislative branch?

(I'm using my Bush doctrine here: I'm not a democrat, in fact, I am more likely to vote third party than anything else.)

  • Rep. Bachmann, I agree with your assessment of Pres. Obama's speech but I am not so sure about the "war" tax. It's true that "all" Americans benefit from enhanced National Security and from the military actions but how is a "war" tax different than all the "other" taxes. The "so-called" rich are being asked to pay the lion's share anyway... Isn't the real question "What in the budget are we going to cut?" The war has to be paid for whether it is called a "war" tax or an "income" tax.

  • tax cuts, budget cuts, if this economy doesn't get a helluva lot bigger & our fed govt a helluva lot smaller this whole little expeirment known as the USA is done, over in 25 years. this according to the c.b.o , g.a.o. and any other economist that looks at our projections.

  • I agree with you. The way this economy is being "managed" is frightful!

  • it's beyond frightful or scary or any other adjective i'm aware of, because the horror and fright is doubled with the realization that they are actually going to ignore this.

the UNITED STATES of AMERICA is on life support. WE ARE DYING. this is all one big hospital.

the republicans are in the waiting room with the vending machines

the dems have taken over the cafeteria and use salsbury steak to influence votes

obama is guest hosting american idol

china thinks "round eyes peoper crazy!"

  • with our health insurance system,we really are.

  • Bless you Michelle. The great leaders today...are all women. Our nation has zero men right now that are leading in a conservative philosophy. I praise your efforts!

  • I agree that Michelle and Sarah Palin are wonderful female conservative leaders but there are some decent male conservatives as well... I like Dick Cheney and I know he's never going to run. I like Newt Gingrich who is probably more pragmatic than conservative... well on second thought maybe your right.

  • God bless you, Michelle.

Stay strong and know that MILLIONS of Americans stand with you!

  • Thank you Rep. Bachmann. Please Save us.
