I am 23, and I will turn 24 next month in February. Its so crazy how things have changed. The first season I watch the real world was in 1997, and that was the seattle season. I followed it for many years along with road rules and of course quit watching it like 5 years ago. These shows bring me back to my teen years and youth. The new generation coming up is gonna be some fucked up adults, especially with shows that are popular these days.

just spend a week with Matt Smith at Covecrest in Georgia. he's such an amazing speaker. i met him, his wife, and kids on the way to the waterfalls on camp and got to talk to him for a little while and play with his freeway baby ;) his kids are gorgeous. especially little Stella..she smiled at me :)) But he was such a HILARIOUS great guy. soo glad to have been with him this week.

*sigh* I still can't believe this was TEN YEARS ago! Wow, I'm gettin' old. c/o 2000 holla! Melissa made this season. There had been funny people before her (i.e. Heather, Cynthia, Teck, etc.), but Melissa's wit was so sharp & so on-point--especially when it came to breaking down David Broom--she was my instant fave from her audition tape. This was one of the CLASSIC seasons & no matter how hard MTV/Bunim-Murray tries to recapture it with this new cast, it won't work. This is the ORIGINAL, baby!

I loved the New Orleans season! The entire cast (especially my girl Melissa) was a joy to watch every Tuesday night. I still have a number of episodes--including this one--recorded on VHS. My favorite part in this scene is Melissa's reaction when someone knocks over a glass in the background. LOL. She was like, "Let me get the hell outta here. This shit is too expensive & I didn't do it!" She's such a genuinally funny personality.
