  • Ah the good old days when a workout really was a workout for the boomer generation. Now I can't hop or jump more than a minute or my knees will kill me, so it's yoga for me.

    Maybe it's a good thing that today's workouts don't have much high impact.

  • i've been doing high impact since the late 80s and wouldn't be without. my knee's are fine + i also run.

  • fitnessmaniac5: If you are only 33, then of course you are fine, and you should continue exercising full force as long as you can without jerking your joints and wearing good shoes.

    I started Jane Fonda in the 1980s when I was over 35, but moved on to other various videos and classes. Knees and joints started rebelling when I was in my 50's and low impact aerobics got harder at  58. Now I'm 60. So my record is pretty good, overall.

  • I did this video after 20 years and I was in pain for 1 week, better than advanced Pilates and body sculpt combined.
