I like this guy whose hands were cold and as a result learned to play, first ,"Yankee Doodle" on his hands and then learned more songs, as time went on.
I am a 47 year old FEMALE manualist and I learned to play my hands in 1976 at age 14. I can play "Yankee Doodle", "Happy Birthday", & the theme from The Addams Family. I can also play along with the radio (karaoke hand-farts?). My sister says it just isn't her birthday unless I call her up & squeak "Happy Birthday" to her over the phone. Part of the appeal of manualism to me has always been the sheer silliness of it. People think it is hilarious, & little kids LOVE it!
@handmusician-Can you play the opening to the old Mickey Mouse Club theme? That would be neat b/c when you get to the part where Donald yells, "Donald Duck!" it would sound realistic, b/c these hand noises have always reminded me of Donald's voice, LOL You should totally make a vid of you doing that theme on your hands!! And maybe just some random free-style noises at the end.
@handmusician I'm sure you're recognize it, it goes like, "Who's the star of our favorite show that's made for you and me, M-i-c-k-e-y M-o-u-s-e,...."
It's funny I vaguely remember a skit where someone *I think Clarance Nash* is showing Donald Duck these hand noises and manualism and Donald is getting annoyed at it, lol So this vid you do will be perfect and very fitting LOL
It's a good thing you didn't include Gerry Phillips in your video. He is the present and future of this art. You also chose to exclude John Twomey! After the Four Squeezins last performance on America"s Got talent, they are HISTORY!
What an honor to be a part of history, and yes, Manualism IS the salvation of all handkind! On behalf of The Four Squeezins & Jimi Handtrix, thank you.
I like this guy, and I want to learn to play my hands the way he does.

It sounds like a high pitched violin. I can do a hand fart, but only one note, same with my younger brother and younger sister.
