@mctapout187 if you're referring to wal-mart, I believe it depends on the individual wal-mart. You need to look for the W8207 polishing pad.

how do you know when to apply more product onto the pad

@1pinoys when you move the pad and you see no product left behind the movement. you always want to wet buff....never letting it get dry.

@DmeloCup this combination should work. If you are using the Meguiar's system, you would use the W8207 yellow polishing pad on either a DA or a rotary at 1200rpm's.

Cool . I actually just picked up some #80 Speed Glaze thinking that would be what I need. I have only very light swirls and some water spots. When would you use #80? Or can I use that instead of the 205? Meguiar's has so many products that seem to overlap for me.

205 cuts faster and leaves a finer finish and 80 has more oils.

I have a very "Novice" question. I've noticed that in many of the videos posted here, you tape off the sections that you are working. What is the purpose for that? Can you not do a section at a time and overlap your work?

Or is the tape just for demonstration purposes?

we use the tape simply to show the before and after for demonstration purposes.

ok i have deep scratches on the clear coat where it is white and is peeled off a little so the scratches relly look white but where the clear coat is scratched there is really good paint there what so i do should i sand use compound because i tried it with meguairs ultimate compound and that did nothing to the scratches but where the paints clear coat was off a it was all dull, it made it shiny, then i waxed it . What can i do or used please help me.

If I understand definitely it is above all necessary to cross M105 and then M205? How long to renovate a hood of medium size about?

yes for best results you use M105 followed by M205....to complete only the hood on a vehicle may take between 15minutes to several hours....its depends on the contaminants and procedure decided upon to complete the job.
