In the UK the Principal sets of the fire alarm. We all go outside, then she turns it off, and we go back inside. We don't all have to go home after.

Code 3-3, for an elementary school, i would want to go with march time because it regulates the flow of students because they walk to the sound of the alarm

I like the tennis court idea. It keep students from running to their parents (and ther parents from running to their child). A very good way to keep an accurate count of who has been picked up.

Why do they need to go home, why not back in school after they have been evacuated.

@mi9worm The purpose of the drill was to test the procedure from start to finish as if it were a real emergency; it was not just an evacuation drill.

in my school my principal presses a button and the fire alarms go off and she doesnt tell anybody except administration people and we go out and then go back in when she turns it off it is pretty simple

Pretty cool fire alarm. Sounds like the control panel is a Simplex 4001. I can tell by the pattern the horns are sounding in.
