this is just another kinect gimmick. They don't show the gameplay because it's probably not implemented since you can't turn or turn quickly.

Microsoft should've thought about it. At least Sony knew you needed a navigation controller to expand. Kinect is limited and the only successful game is dancing around which you can do on move as well.

kinect just fails. I hope they've learned their lesson

@SadisticReviews really implemention of kinect controls are dependent on the creators of the game. Theirs already a navigation controller for movement and that is you. The bulletstorm kinect hack has movement shooting melee for a FPS you don't even need a quick turn even though it can be implemented easily. even if this isent the futuristic game play people imagined it is a sign that it is making progress towards that vision.

@SadisticReviews that delay can be fixed with changes in the programming we've seen it in the newest kinect star wars demos. the delay will also be reduced or hopefully ridden with the next gen consoles something microsoft was planing on. the detection can also be fixed and it could also be due to the lighting at E3 theirs lots of different reasons.

I'm not even going to lie, when the kinect first came out I thought it was going to be revolutionary and it is but it looks like the kinect is lame when it comes to shooters. They need to be like the ps3 and provide an optional gun we can use. And maybe use the kinect for in-game covering and moving around.

@clangoso this isnt actually part of gameplay its just a way to test the weapons you create. but if you search for kinectfaast they have a couple videos of dead island and bulletstorm. theres also a guy playing star wars on the pc that shows how it could be done better than any developer. although sega tried with rise of nightmares
