As someone of Mexican descent who has been to both nations, I must say 'Screw Korean Football!' No history and no tradition. Weak, weak, weak, soccer chant! Only one? Is that the best your co-nationals can do? BTW: Everyone except for egotistical Koreans coincide that the 2002 World Cup was a big sham. Are you serious?!! Man, Korea has been around longer than Uruguay and other hispanic countries. So how can you say korea has no history? All the South American and Latin American countries were once a colony of Spain so technically, Uruguay's history along with Mexico etc, started when it got its independence. Now if your descendents came from the native population, that's a different matter.

I wasn't making a point about both country's national origins or history. I was making a point exclusively about Football History and Tradition. I do admit, however, that my statement was quite vague and could be left up to interpretation. I know that the Korean nation has a long history of perhaps 3000+years alongside that of China, which according to most partial historians Korea composed a part of greater China at one time in its early history.
