Mr. Pressfield, the secret is not to fight the tribes, but to become one of them. That is what Alexander did. He married into the tribes, took wives from among the tribal cheifs daughters and he became one of their family. You have to remember, its all about the family, caste or tribe in Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Nepal and where ever in South Asia. The family/tribe will die, but will never give up their family name or honor.
