Just to throw in my two cents again, this fight is not only unfair, but for those of you who haven't seen G or SEED Destiny, I implore you to stand down. You have no right to argue facts when you haven't seen both. Comparing the two side by side is impossible. The only thing that can stand against the G pilots are the Turns and only because they're ridiculously overpowered.

While Destiny contrived the Deuterion core to give infinite energy, this is also because several weapons used in that timeline are hooked up to the powerplant itself. G units simply don't run out of energy either, but it's because they don't have weapons that hook into it and rely on external weapons or ki-based techniques
@OmegaWriter1 However, the speed gap is too great despite the equal power sources. G units such as Master and God/Burning Gundam can move instantaneously from one point to another as demonstrated in the video and at many parts of the series as early on as the first 25 episodes.

These are units designed to take direct hits better than any other unit, and they are also designed to deliver hits to destroy such strong armor in a single blow or in a flurry of strikes, which also says alot about the power the units generate.

@Rilurio In a game like this the protagonists (and in this case deuteragonists) from each series are generally evenly matched. However, G Gundam's world and SEED's world are very different, and I don't think one can really compare them effectively.
If it were 'real' then I wouldn't put much stock in ANYTHING from G Gundam, though.
@productNine but then you're assuming that what we perceive as real and possible applies to both series, and that the abilities in SEED are more realistic, or plausible than G. if we were to compare them, with both their abilities, G Gundam AND SEED, where both have access to their abilities in the show, those from G Gundam would have an advantage in response time, Melee combat, and specialty techniques whereas SEED has advantage in Long-ranged firepower and weaponry.

That aside, Yeah, Master Asia and Domon would shred them...and the entire cast of GSD in no time. For the purposes of game balance, yeah, they are comparable to G Gundam's fighters. In terms of their shown feats in their respective canons...G Gundam Mobile Fighters in general are way more powerful than GSD's mecha.

Kira is the ultimate Coordinator because his genes were engineered to be free of errors because he was born artificially it was never said he was created to be superhuman or a soldier of any kind. Master Asia has actual superhuman fighting skills honed by years of training and experience. In fact he can fight without a Mobile Suit, he's just that powerful.

Kira was part of the Ultimate Coordinator Project, which was to be the pinnacle of genetic engineering, not specifically military applications of it either (like the Extendeds were). And even then, Kira didn't end up being the best pilot in his own canon. Kira being part of the aforementioned program, does not ipso facto make him "the ultimate pilot."

Kira still proved that his maneuverability in freedom is good. Kira was forced to take the shot to the cockpit cause his Freedom is becoming less mobile due to damage.
And he didn't ate the blast from genesis. He try evade it, but still got caught due to Freedom's damage and reduced mobility.
And Master Asia repeatedly showed agility and power in Master Gundam. Usually without even putting forth much effort.
And just why was Freedom taking damage?...Oh right, because Shinn was beating Kira.
As it is animated GENESIS's beam struck Freedom's foot. Even if we just settle on it being a near miss, Kira is still dead, seeing as WARSHIPS (ie those things with much thicker hulls than MS) would explode from being anywhere near the visible beam itself. Kira by all rights, died twice there.
When facing people without mental breakdowns, it's all the same. Rau took some more hits and got only 2 DRAGOONS left before Kira made his final blow. Providence no longer have a weapon beside the 2 and can can no longer move properly due to damage. Rau's last card is the 2 DRAGOONS. Just to say, Kira wasn't actually no match. What impresses me more is that despite having heavy meteor, Kira was able to evade so many beams, though melee took down meteor.
Impulse didn't change parts only once. It's head got slashed by Freedom and Shin was forced to remove everything, and change parts. He then took the Core splendor and head straight to Kira. Of course, Kira wont shoot it and Shin knows he wont. Next was the self destruct of the Leg flyer.
And by the way, Kira doesn't know about that ability of Impulse. Kira might be on the field but his attention is on somewhere else.
You may need to rewatch GSD 34 then. Impulse received parts when the arm and head got lobbed off. It also requested a Sword Silhouette during the coup de grace, which as I already mentioned, was not equipped. Which amounts to Shinn replacing parts ONCE.
Kira took numerous would-be cockpit shots on him, so why not? He probably didn't fire on Core Splendor as the chest/Force Silhouette were ramming him and he had to deal with that. Good move on Shinn's part.

Besides, Kira was heading for the ocean because it is as they planned, not because he thinks he can't win against Impulse. They don't originally intend to fight. He didn't articulate anything of the sort, he told them not to worry about him and to gtfo. And Shinn was manhandling Kira by this point. Sure, Kira didn't originally intend to fight, seeing as ZAFT ambushed them and then Shinn forced the duel, but the gauntlet was thrown down and Kira was certainly shown to be fighting with purpose.
He can't reattach the Leg. It has it's own flyer to fly it to the core splendor. Without the flyer, the leg part is useless. Besides, he self destruct it.
No... Kira isn't fighting on purpose. Like I told you, all he did was buy time, try to fly away from Impulse until they get to the ocean. He is only seen to be counterattacking while Shin is going near him, then fly away, block beam, fly away and fly away.
Whether Kira was worried about AA is irrelevant, as he was cut off from them by Impulse alone and by the end point where you are talking of, it was solely a ship to ship encounter between AA and Minerva (which AA was running from). He HAD to get through Impulse to get back to AA. And he could not do that.
Not sure what you are talking about how Shinn wouldn't have been able to get the Sword Silhouette, seeing as Kira was on the ropes and in full retreat from the beating Shinn was giving him.
Like said there, AA is not aiming for Minerva. So it's not AA vs Minerva. AA is just escaping, not fighting.There are also notable mobile suits around that are massing AA.
Like I told you, Freedom is heading to the ocean to get to AA. That's when Shin get his hands on the sword silhouette. If Kira was fighting totally, then he would have beam spammed Shin, even if some beams won't hit, cause that's how kira fights.
But no. After a few beams to try and stop Shin, he's just buying time now, just flying around and blocking beams, instead of continuing his beam attacks. And if he continued spamming, Shin wouldn't have gotten near the sword silhouette.
He's heading for the ocean because he will regroup, not because Shin is beating him. Kira told them to head for the ocean, but he didn't tell them to leave him behind, did he? Once on the ocean, Kira will go and submerge above the AA.
@Coballes19 Nothing indicates that he's simply trying to buy time by engaging Impulse. Why would he? AA is getting hammered by Minerva. The most logical thing to do, since he obviously can't just escape Impulse (as Shinn would cut him off when he attempted to) would be to down Impulse to get to AA. Which Kira apparently tries (also evidenced by the multiple shots on the cockpit).
Kira was in full retreat because Shinn was beating his ass. Shinn was stomping Kira by that point in the fight.
He's not buying time by engaging Impulse. He's buying time by simply trying to get away, until they get to the ocean.
And he didn't try to shot Impulse's cockpit. All I see are Freedom trying to shot his hands and head.
All Kira said was: "Head for the Ocean. Take Cagalli to Orb. It takes priority!" There's nothing there saying, "don't mind me" and is in fact in Kira's plan to reqroup in the ocean cause Kira doesn't have any intention of sacrificing himself cause AA will be one less weaponed.

That makes no sense if we're presuming that Kira actually is a better pilot and especially when coupled by the fact he has the superior MS and is in a 1v1 with him. Why not defeat Impulse, then go to AA? Kira has no reservations about downing so much fodder, why not shoot down one more unit? Evidence suggests, he actually was trying.

@williamfan210 Kicking off the arms and legs wouldn't affect it much, except that the Freedom can't fly with that much mobility. It would depend on the spot that got darkness fingered. And PS Armor makes a mobile suit virtually immune to solid body impact attacks, so trying to break parts with physical attacks is... diffficult.

(it blocked the almighty TBR, the same rifle that has been shown to OBLITERATE colonies and pierce the heavens). i highly douht something as usless as mobile suit PS armor would be very effective against these guys

@Rilurio In a game like this the protagonists (and in this case deuteragonists) from each series are generally evenly matched. However, G Gundam's world and SEED's world are very different, and I don't think one can really compare them effectively.
If it were 'real' then I wouldn't put much stock in ANYTHING from G Gundam, though.

That aside, Yeah, Master Asia and Domon would shred them...and the entire cast of GSD in no time. For the purposes of game balance, yeah, they are comparable to G Gundam's fighters. In terms of their shown feats in their respective canons...G Gundam Mobile Fighters in general are way more powerful than GSD's mecha.

Kira was part of the Ultimate Coordinator Project, which was to be the pinnacle of genetic engineering, not specifically military applications of it either (like the Extendeds were). And even then, Kira didn't end up being the best pilot in his own canon. Kira being part of the aforementioned program, does not ipso facto make him "the ultimate pilot."

Kira still proved that his maneuverability in freedom is good. Kira was forced to take the shot to the cockpit cause his Freedom is becoming less mobile due to damage.

As it is animated GENESIS's beam struck Freedom's foot. Even if we just settle on it being a near miss, Kira is still dead, seeing as WARSHIPS (ie those things with much thicker hulls than MS) would explode from being anywhere near the visible beam itself. Kira by all rights, died twice there.

When facing people without mental breakdowns, it's all the same. Rau took some more hits and got only 2 DRAGOONS left before Kira made his final blow. Providence no longer have a weapon beside the 2 and can can no longer move properly due to damage. Rau's last card is the 2 DRAGOONS. Just to say, Kira wasn't actually no match. What impresses me more is that despite having heavy meteor, Kira was able to evade so many beams, though melee took down meteor.

Impulse didn't change parts only once. It's head got slashed by Freedom and Shin was forced to remove everything, and change parts. He then took the Core splendor and head straight to Kira. Of course, Kira wont shoot it and Shin knows he wont. Next was the self destruct of the Leg flyer.
And by the way, Kira doesn't know about that ability of Impulse. Kira might be on the field but his attention is on somewhere else.

You may need to rewatch GSD 34 then. Impulse received parts when the arm and head got lobbed off. It also requested a Sword Silhouette during the coup de grace, which as I already mentioned, was not equipped. Which amounts to Shinn replacing parts ONCE.
Kira took numerous would-be cockpit shots on him, so why not? He probably didn't fire on Core Splendor as the chest/Force Silhouette were ramming him and he had to deal with that. Good move on Shinn's part.
Leg Flier? That never happened.

Besides, Kira was heading for the ocean because it is as they planned, not because he thinks he can't win against Impulse. They don't originally intend to fight. And Kira wouldn't have to worry about AA if they let the Murasame squad out. If Kira was that focused on Impulse, Shinn wouldn't have got his hands on the flying sword silhouette.

He didn't articulate anything of the sort, he told them not to worry about him and to gtfo. And Shinn was manhandling Kira by this point. Sure, Kira didn't originally intend to fight, seeing as ZAFT ambushed them and then Shinn forced the duel, but the gauntlet was thrown down and Kira was certainly shown to be fighting with purpose.

Whether Kira was worried about AA is irrelevant, as he was cut off from them by Impulse alone and by the end point where you are talking of, it was solely a ship to ship encounter between AA and Minerva (which AA was running from). He HAD to get through Impulse to get back to AA. And he could not do that.
Not sure what you are talking about how Shinn wouldn't have been able to get the Sword Silhouette, seeing as Kira was on the ropes and in full retreat from the beating Shinn was giving him.

Like said there, AA is not aiming for Minerva. So it's not AA vs Minerva. AA is just escaping, not fighting.There are also notable mobile suits around that are massing AA.
Like I told you, Freedom is heading to the ocean to get to AA. That's when Shin get his hands on the sword silhouette. If Kira was fighting totally, then he would have beam spammed Shin, even if some beams won't hit, cause that's how kira fights.

The most logical thing to do, since he obviously can't just escape Impulse (as Shinn would cut him off when he attempted to) would be to down Impulse to get to AA. Which Kira apparently tries (also evidenced by the multiple shots on the cockpit).
Kira was in full retreat because Shinn was beating his ass. Shinn was stomping Kira by that point in the fight.

And he didn't try to shot Impulse's cockpit. All I see are Freedom trying to shot his hands and head.
All Kira said was: "Head for the Ocean. Take Cagalli to Orb. It takes priority!" There's nothing there saying, "don't mind me" and is in fact in Kira's plan to reqroup in the ocean cause Kira doesn't have any intention of sacrificing himself cause AA will be one less weaponed.

Why not defeat Impulse, then go to AA? Kira has no reservations about downing so much fodder, why not shoot down one more unit? Evidence suggests, he actually was trying.
