horsepower is a big factor, but let's not forget gearing! The SRT8 had the "break" because of it's lower gear ratios, but the V's have a pretty high gear ratio throughout the tranni, making it a better top end performer than the SRT8

A buddy of mine has a twin turbo SRT8 charger. Bone stock he'd pull me about what you see in this video. I upgraded my lower pulley, Cold air intake, and tuned it now I return the favor :). Fun times though he probably gonna come back with an answer but I'm not going much further with my car. I want reliability. Hes pushing 8psi on his block it won't last too much.

I know cause I have one. My mods right now are custom tune, headers, high flows, and cai and thats it and I went from running 14.40's in the 1/4 to 13.60's in the 1/4 with just bolt on shit. So the motor is there it's just the weight and gear. If it came standard with just a 3.23 or 3.55 watch out!

@Stevenhiggles The tranny is actually an 8 speed and for now it's only going in the V6. By the way my 08 has never been walked by an Altima. When it was stock in 08 I ran a couple of stock 08 Altima's and crushed them. Now the new Altimas stock would be faster than my Charger when it was stock but from a roll a 2010 0r 2011 will be faster than a new Altima. The Altima may be quicker from a dead because it is lighter has more gear and a better tranny. I agree the 5 speed dodge tranny blows!

@babytards no, not really. The CTS-V has 556hp. Goes 0-60 in about 4.4 seconds, and a top speed of 170-191mph. That's the way it is from the dealership when you buy it. It is supercharged, but technically, it's not all that heavily modded.

This spring I am getting some intake manifolds that put other SRT6's with my same mods in the 11's. I have spent $1500 and the manis are 1400(ouch).
