the subs are wrong for a reason- the song is sakuranbo kiss and the subs have been changed to better reflect the nature of windows OSes, such as mune, or heart/chest/brest/that sort of thing, becoming CPU in the subs.

Well, as I can see, you have some of the translation in this very vid. Only thing is, you have to know which one isn't real. For example the song says, "small chest" during the chorus, but the lyrics says "small CPU". just replace and you get a rough translation.

a lot of what is really wrong? the japanese subtitles are obviously different from the song in order to match the setting (nothing about operating systems in the song) but is the english translation actually incorrect relative to the subtitles?

Long story short,

it's not that English subtitle doesn't match the Japanese subtitle, it's that Japanese subtitle doesn't match the lyrics of the song.

And English subtitle is translation of the Japanese subtitle.

Erm no, I found the original song on subbed on youtube not too long ago it's actually the OP for some dating sim game. The words are very similar to this though, this seems to be just slightly adjusted to fit the video better so it's definetly not complete bullshit ;)

Why does practically every screencap/videofeed made in Japan seem to have a still clock on it? Did they mess up programming their VCR or something?

I think it's because there's this TV channel (or more than just one?) that has a clock on the screen and no it's not a static clock. I have a couple anime episodes that have a clock like that on. Maybe it is their recorders but I highly doubt it who would want a recorder that adds crap into your recorded material right? So I'm not sure myself about this.
