I need help with my sons ds... when I charge it seems like its charging but when I turn the power switch on , there is a white blank screen on the bottom screen that flashes for less then a second and goes out again ..and won't power on at all how can I fix it ? And what part should I buy any help is appreciated thank you :)
what if when u put ur charger in the ds an the red light stays on but wont turn green light on when pushing the power botton on...iv got a new battery so i know its not that can someone pleaze help
@jazzgirl001 - make sure the ds has had 10 mins to charge as if completely flat it wont switch on even if the charger is in. Check the switch for correct action, check L2 inductor :-)
i have a charge light orange - but when i power i get the green light come on - (very dim) the green light stays on but i get no further (no display) - any ideas ?
@JonathanSarabiaTV Does the green light come on at all? if it does briefly its one of the screens, if it does not at all it most likeley the L2 inductor
@TheDSDOCTOR yeah but in the video it looks like it's still there!oh and btw, i watched that vid cuz i thought my ds suffer from blown fuse so i decided to open the console and see what is going on there and accidentally i dropped the ds (it crashed very hard ..) and then it started to work again!! wtf?! how is it possible??
Hey guys with these symptoms first make sure your battery is not bad. I had the exact same symptoms and it turned out to just be the battery. Just my advice

Hi - if its coming on its not the fuse :-) check the screens as it switches off - one will flash - the opposite screen to the one that flashes is at fault - usually youll see a bottom screen flash - it means a top LCD fault :-)

A couple questions. The old fuse just came up using only the desoldering braid? I placed a braid on a fuse then applied iron and it just stayed there. Also, when you attach the fuse to the solder you placed on the top pad, are you placing the iron on the top of the fuse itself or above the fuse on the solder itself? Thanks!
Thank you! I think this is the issue with my daughter's dsl. I have ordered your full kit and hope I can figure out how to do this myself. Beats paying 80$ to have it fixed at the store.

desolder and resolder a surface mount fuse - not too easy getting a close up of a 1.2mm long fuse !
