Thanks! I'm working on Chopin Piano Concerto in Em, Op. 11, No. 1. Only the first movement. I need to memorize it by March 9th because I am auditioning for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Also, I am playing Moonlight Sonata Movement 3 for a solo and ensemble contest on February 16th. It's not fun practicing for two hours a day! But the pieces are exciting.
It is hard because of all of the sudden dynamic changes and crazy fingerings. But if you play a bit of Chopin's stuff, you can nail this piece a lot easier. Your fingers will be a lot lighter.
When i made my comment, I had just started grade 8, and this piece seemed very difficult. (That's Canadian grade 8, grade 5 for UK). Now, it doesn't seem hard at all!
I am playing this and I actually renamed it as well as many already have. My name is: The Bi-polar stampeding elephant.

I have officially dubbed this "The Non-Obvious Pirate Song".
I just found it in my piano music book and I listened to the CD that came with it and it reminded me of pirates...

I started learning this song today. Fun piece, albeit a tad simple/monotonous.
