  • What kind of Hydrostream is that on?

    A vulture,vector,viper,viking?

  • @Hydrostreamman123 It was on my 1982 Hydrostream V-King. I sold the engine about a year ago and sold the V-King about 5 months ago. I miss the both. Lol

  • dude, nice ride, i just bought an 88 mastercraft and it has a 200 Merc. on it ans it will fly and pull you up with out a problem, i've never drove an outboard though, what all is there to know?

  • b4 i had twin 200 hp evinrude johnsons 89' and at there best we prob. got like 45-50 mph

  • i own a 26 foot mako 89' and i am getting twin 250 mercs bluewater series 1999 efi but there racing engines. how do u think my boat will do?

  • @pavia08 What engines did you have before and what was top speed?

  • when you are ready to sell, let me know, love to swap out my 200 black max with that thing....

  • yeah. I use a walmart garbage can that I cut down. Quit dickin' around on the hose and go put that Hydrostream in the water.

  • is that mercury garbage can ur runnin in?

  • Good guess Jesus

  • I understand I live in da country so it doesn't matter how loud it is. Nice motor

  • They sell a low water pick-up attachment to put on your hose so you don't have to rig something up. I think mine costed 60 bucks.

  • I have the low water flush. It's less noise in the tank.

  • im not making a bad comment because i love these engines but a bucket wont keep the engine cooled you need to get the ears and hook the hose up to them then put it right on the engine or it will overheat

  • I going to say you are wrong on this one.

this engine has low water pick-up on it. normal ears won't work on this lower unit.

takes a special flush attachment. attaches at bottom/front of gearcase.

Plus the "bucket" is at the same level as the boat sits in the water.

PS look up " bob's Bigfoot low water pick-up"

  • i had one of these engines on my old boat except it was a 1989 i had to use bungee cords to hold the ears on

  • +1 reelcurious. There is no where to put the ears lol. If it is a low water pick up the sides are smooth and the pickup is in the front of the bottom of the foot. We duct tape a modified funnel to ours.

  • i did the same thing but with bungee cords not duct tape

  • over 7200 views, wow. I'm a sucker for Mercury 2.4 liters, they sound so good.

  • Nah, this video is much better, can't even see the SST motor

  • type in this: Merc SST140 at idle

  • 4,640 views! Wow. I love this video, hearing an older Mercury modified, race-car like exhaust. Optimax's are boring, a 225Pro XS sounds like an old 9 1/2 kicker!
