  • Spongebab has nuthin on this.

  • That "baboon" is actually a chimpanzee.

  • @Tonykomnenos yeah, and that "ground-hog" look more like a weasel/ferret too.

  • "This video contains content from Diva Video Access AG, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. "

  • @HernandezHogan Doesn't matter if you watch where it's not blocked, 'cuz it won't be in English, which sucks even more.

  • So *that's* where Kalamazoo is! XD

  • man this makes me miss my childhood. good old looney toons

  • Those enclosures are not up to code, there too small and anything could fit through the bars

  • 3:03 - 3:09 - Egghead cackles like wicked witch

  • The best part is from 1:18 to 1:42 .

    ^^

  • I remember one with a bald eagle, which one was that? Btw, were the pink elephants a reference to Dumbo, or is there an inside joke about pink elephants while drunk that I don't know about?...Or, neither?

  • @Mwahohoho It's an inside joke, Dumbo didn't come out for another 2 years

  • @Mwahohoho

That would be 'Who's Who in the Zoo.' It's not letting me post the link, but you can find it here on YouTube.

  • Lol, it kinda sad that I only "sorta" remember these cartoons even when I used to watch them over and over.

  • HAHA! 2 bucks and 5 "scents"

  • And There's The Wise Old Owl.

    Who? Meeeeeee??????

    Yes.

    LOL

  • I'm a bad Boy !!

  • I dont get the bread and butter part

  • @PrincessOfAllRandom, Bread and Butter is a superstition, where if two friends, or a dating or married couple are walking together and an obstacle comes between them, they both say bread and butter to avert bad luck.

  • Have you got plenty of money and you 1937 cartoon.

  • have you got plenty of money and you cartoon 1937.

  • ahahahaha bread n' buter whats that spossed to mean?

  • @amandahiggins176 It's an old superstition for couples that means 'whatever passes between us won't separate us' (or, basically, 'we're like bread and butter'). Obviously that superstition is out of date, and I wish other superstitions would get 'out of date'.

  • @MWolfL Have you got this video Plenty of money and you 1937 cartoon.

  • @MultiCARTOON

Nope, and even if I did don't expect me to load it due to the fact that I don't know how. I never bothered learning since I only use YouTube to collect cartoons and TV shows I like and movies I don't have on DVD.

  • One of the best :D

  • the bars of the lion's cage, represents top level boxer's restraint.

MMA fighters, be glad for those bars....

  • 4:55

the dude in the green jacket, is the world of MMA.

The Lion, are professional boxers who can command million dollar gates.

  • im addicted to the birds! lol. btw im glad that zoos are so much better now than they were then as far as animal care

  • @soccergirl97979 Yeah, the Camels aren't allowed to smoke anymore either (they have to go outside of their cages now). LOL

  • "Bank Night" [6:25] was a feature of most movie theaters during the '30s, where you registered for a "jackpot" drawing conducted by the the theater manager. If your name was called- and you weren't in the audience- the amount of the "jackpot" was automatically increased for the next drawing, and someone else got a chance to win (it'd drive YOU wild, too).

  • That looks painful at 2:58. The boy learned his lesson the hard way at 6:33.

  • I'm really starting to feel sorry for skunks, they keep getting prtrayed as too stinky to be around others, yet they're really friendly otherwise (okay maybe Pepe is a little *too* friendly with the ladies but still). Personally I really like them, but then again I've smelt them and haven't been bothered yet so that's just me.

  • leftovers from new years, lol

  • what does "bread and butter mean" EH????

  • "Hahahahaahhehehe...tickle..tickle!!HAHAHA"Egghead is hilarious in this episode (Little guy)

  • "I'm a bad boy."

  • "Hey Sister, Can't you read?" 1:55

    LOL

  • The Lion Eats Tonight!

  • wow lunch for 35 cents and pie for 5 cents... i wanna go there!!!!

  • @miacat10 Me 2

  • The bread and butter thing is an old thing. When two people would walk down the street and a pole came between them they would say bread and butter.

  • "Hey Sister Can'cha READ?!?" ROFL!!!!

  • "I'm a bad boy."

  • Of course you are!

  • Wait, 2 friendly Elks?

AH! The Elks Lodge! The lodge that my dad is a part of!

  • I don't get the winged elephants and "bread and butter" gags.

  • The winged elephants are more commonly known as pink elephants. (Ever saw Dumbo? If not then the explanation is that pink elephants are a common hallucination among drunkards...and adults sometimes drink wine or champange on New Years Eve.).

  • HEY SISTER! CAN'T YOU READ?

  • @aBerlin1945 Oh sister. It sounded like he said "mister".

  • @aBerlin1945 That used to scare me when I was little.

  • The only thing I never understood: why were those panthers going "Bread and butter." repeatedly? I found the wildcat one amusing though.

  • i did a whoppsy

  • I love these cartoons! Makes me want to get a big bowl of cereal and hunker down in front of the t.v! Thanks for posting them!

  • no problem

  • The little man who gets eaten by a lion is an earlier version of Elmer Fudd btw.

  • Correct. in that time, his name was Egghead

  • Actually, that's a common misconception. Egghead was a slightly different character, with hair, a larger nose, and wider eyes. Several people got the two characters confused and started thinking of them as the same. This isn't egghead. It's an early Elmer.

  • I know. I actually knew that from the start. Egghead is a prototype of Elmer

  • Polly want a cracka?

    Nah...gimmie a short beer...lol

    I heard that one...lol

  • Whoooooooooooooooo? Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee? Oooooooooooooh.....lol....still didn't understand the wolf in his natural setting...lol...but this is a classic & one of my faves

  • The wolf is in his natural setting.... looking for a handout.

  • Wolf standing outside the door, as in Little Red Riding Hood or Three Little Pigs?

  • My favorite part of this movie was were that lion eat that little fellow and the man tought he went home lol.

  • hello bill

  • @allboutk hello bill!

  • Look sistuh! Can't you read the sign?!

  • Phatsophatty, that book is a book on friendship that the skunk reads.(1936, Dale Carnegie).

  • When you pass past a pole you go bread and your bud goes butter.:) Simple. Bread and Butter.

  • i've always liked it but i never understood the whole "bread and butter" thing

  • LOL!!!!!!!!

  • can someone explain 2:42 to 2:52

  • I'll never get my homework done now.

  • Whoooo? Meeeeeeee???? Oooooohhhhhhh! lol

  • wats the name of the other zoo cartoon from merry melodies?

  • Just one word: Silly. In a positive way.
