Why is everyone all hyped up about nintendo dropping the GBA slot? it's been 2-3 (acccording to japan realease) years since they have gotten rid of it and there are two simple solutions:

1. keep your DS lite

2. GET A GBA IF YOU LOVE THE GAMES SO MUCH!

gba= cheapest probably £5

gba sp= cheapest probably £10-£15#

gba micro= cheapest £15-£20

However.., common sense should tell you that if what you're doing on the DSi doesn't require the Wi Fi.., then turning it off is the sensible thing to do as it will conserve battery life. No point in having the DSi constantly scanning Wi Fi.., if what you're doing on the system doesn't need it.

the thing acout the smooth casing on the ds lite is that it either gets dirty or (if its piano black) then it sucks your finger prints off from across the room. the black dsi doesn't do this

No,it's just for old people dumbass.I like the bigger screens.They have a wider viewing angle,and that makes picture look really good.Not mention it has all of the same features of the first DSi including the camera and the sound programs,both of which are actually very fun to play with.The colors look fine.They made the bronze for boys and the burgundy for girls.Just because something's bigger doesn't mean it's worse.

When WiFi is enabled it's constantly searching for a signal. If you're just playing a game it's wise to turn the WiFi off as this will conserve battery life. Leaving it on drains the battery quicker.

On the main screen go into "System Settings". You want to look for "Wireless Communications". I think it's on the first page. Under Wireless Communications you can turn it off.

I suggest you have a look at the game line up for the DSi. They don't have games just for kids on this thing. I'm also a musician (check out my other vids).., and I use the DSi a lot for a music application (Korg DS-10). Game systems (both console and handheld) aren't just aimed at children. There are adult titles for them. Developers older than me are making these games too, and they play them ;-) There's never an age limit on them.

If you don't have enough money to buy the Dsi,and if yuo have a regular DS or DS Lite you can trade them to have a discount on the DSi.But,I just bought the DSi.Then I compared the DS lite and the DSi with each other and totally the DSi rules so I am so glad that I bought and to all of you guys"YOU SHOULD BUY THIS"!!!

Agreed! I was a little skeptical at first about getting one of these, as I wasn't sure if the new features would make the upgrade worth it. I'm now quite pleased with it and very happy my wife bought one (I just don't like the color). I was fortunate though, and got to keep my DSLite (which my daughter has now claimed for herself...)

You have to go under the system settings from the main screen.  Touch the box that says WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS. Touch OFF and then OK.

besides, the interface @ main menu of DSi looks a bit like the one on the PSP... not completely, but a bit.

another question, when u hit the power button, the DSi starts up, and is on. You told us about the blue coloured LED light, which indicates Wi-Fi connection...

does that mean u dont need a USB Wi-Fi connector or a modem compatible with Wi-Fi? can u simply connect to Wi-Fi netwok with your DSi? :D That would be GREAT!!!

i pick the DS Lite. i dont need a camera on my ds.. if i wanna make photo's, ill use my telephone.. I want to play .gba games. Like importing .gba pokémon onto Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGo­ld/SoulSilver will be completely gone at the DSi... and last but not least, the DS Lite doesn´t have a flashcard ´blocker´. You have to first crack your DSi to play .nds files on it.. DS Lite doesnt need that =D so yes, DS Lite Rox!
