  • 1:42 He just LEAPS at that window with the hammer!!

  • Why would you break the window when the window on the passengers site is allready open.... I guess he likes the sound of breaking glass or something...

  • @Toastbrotmanndew It wasnt open at the start. You can see Laurie winding it down

  • I would really love to read a book set in an insult and dealing with the problem of the west midlands!

  • @kirkhamster111 It was actually credit cards that he stole.

  • That's really rather clever due to the fact that I'm sure the reason he was imprisoned was down to the fact that he stole a car; therefore, when he talks of past experiences coming though in his writing he's also making cataphoric (I think that's the correct word, sorry if not) reference to his own experiences simultaneously. Genius!

  • Remember kids, whenever you steal a car, make sure to put on your seatbelt for maximum driving safety :)

  • Yes, a detailed account of working class life in the west midlands would make me take a hammer to a car window.

Brilliant sketch! They're both such beautiful wee babes here!

  • i think that this combination of stephen's nonchalant talking while breaking stuff makes a great comedy. xD

  • i've lost it the moment stephen broke the side window xD

  • Wonderful & hilarious! :)

  • 1:44 has to be the most unexpected ABOFAL moment I've ever seen XD

  • hmm, it seems like Fry has done this before

  • Stephen Fry breaking into a car whilst talking about books and then gracefully driving off in it has made my week :)

  • It's set in the West Midlands, and deals, in great depth, with the problem of verbal abuse. It is, in my opinion, a far more successful effort than his previous novel, Mr. Ranstock, which was set in an insult and dealt with the problem of the West Midlands.

  • That's so funny how the alarm doesn't go off when he smashes the window but when he opens the door.

  • Oh look! A Pioneer stereo, I'll have that!

  • hehe

  • I wanna see "Having a Bath with"!

  • So do i!

  • Now THERE'S something i'd like to see!

  • @lovestanlaurel Yes please!

  • My kind of talk show!

  • So that was back when Tony Inchpractice had a different name.

  • haha true!

  • And when he wasn't a customer of Alliance & Leceister...

  • Stephen is beyond adorable in this!

  • I'm only sad we don't have footage of "Having a Bath With."

  • hahahahahahaha...
