Why would you break the window when the window on the passengers site is allready open.... I guess he likes the sound of breaking glass or something...
That's really rather clever due to the fact that I'm sure the reason he was imprisoned was down to the fact that he stole a car; therefore, when he talks of past experiences coming though in his writing he's also making cataphoric (I think that's the correct word, sorry if not) reference to his own experiences simultaneously. Genius!
It's set in the West Midlands, and deals, in great depth, with the problem of verbal abuse. It is, in my opinion, a far more successful effort than his previous novel, Mr. Ranstock, which was set in an insult and dealt with the problem of the West Midlands.
1:42 He just LEAPS at that window with the hammer!!

Remember kids, whenever you steal a car, make sure to put on your seatbelt for maximum driving safety :)

Yes, a detailed account of working class life in the west midlands would make me take a hammer to a car window.
Brilliant sketch! They're both such beautiful wee babes here!

i think that this combination of stephen's nonchalant talking while breaking stuff makes a great comedy. xD

Stephen Fry breaking into a car whilst talking about books and then gracefully driving off in it has made my week :)

That's so funny how the alarm doesn't go off when he smashes the window but when he opens the door.
