Louis Armstrong is like the Genghis Khan of 20th century American popular music. His influence is everywhere, whether people recognise it or not.
"Louis is really the tradition, we haven't caught up to it yet. He created our colloquialism. Every musician I know, of worth in popular music, or Jazz music is stung by Louis Armstrong." - Tony Bennet
I thought I was enjoying this when I heard Ella's voice. Then, I really thought I was enjoying this when I heard Louis. But I KNEW I was enjoying this when I heard Ella's voice come in after Louis and that slender cord connecting my mind and heart snapped to attention, drawn to the sound of such distinctly harmonious vocals. This... is... jazz. Thank you.
This is so beautiful, I used to listen to this when I was a little kid, my parents were big jazz fans. Thanks for uploading this song. Brings back cozy rainy sunday afternoons
He is the only major figure in Western culture who influenced the music of this time. His popularity enabled him to shatter countless racial obstacles while his manner undermined Europhile assumptions about the way an artist was supposed to present himself. He patented the rhythmic gait known as swing; transformed a polyphonic folk music into a soloist's art; established the expressive weight of blues tonality and proved the durability of harmonic improvisation.
@gadian1980 No, they just dislike this song. Or perhaps they like the song and not the picture collage, but either way they are completely entitled to dislike this, just as much as the people that like it. They dislike it and there is a button for it for a reason. So, you're the fucking retard.
Gravel and velvet! That's what I call the collaborations of Louis and Ella...and this is one of my very favorites featuring these two awesome artists.

@blqkvo this is my first time!. So many great artists have recorded this song. Can't say it's my favorite version but it is beautiful amazing real music. Love it!
@heysoos12345 some people have different tastes in music...*shrug* it doesnt make sense to me either how anyone could love kesha and gaga over this but thats the way it works i guess
@awesomekidddo The reason people don't like this music and would rather listen to crap is because the music business is and from now on always will be looking for the next big thing. To them this music is old news and cannot be revived, the closest they'll get is Michael Buble'. People of this modern day aren't exposed to the amazing music that was and should still be. Students or most students aren't taught about these in school as well. There most likely will never be any help for music now
@jajagirl101 But I do think there is an opportunity for some artists to be different from the norm. Amy Winehouse often reminded me of Etta James and it was quite beautiful to see that. I'm not too much of a cynic so I think there is still some hope for society. It's impossible that people can't want something different...
@awesomekidddo Well you are right on that one it is quite a shame any died she might have been able to save musical society today. It's quite sad whenever I try showing kids my age this music they get bored and begin listening to crap but I'm just babbling on, It's a darn shame people today can't listen to music like this it's very sad
@MrCIMASTUDENT haha ok your right I am being a twat I think i was just mad cuz no one would give this music a chand you are right I shall definitely stop

Hey, I’m a young artist, & I would really appreciate it if everyone would check out my cover of Michael Bublé’s “You’re Nobody till Somebody Loves You.” Although I’m knowledgeable that Michael Bublé was not the first to record the song, my version was inspired by his rendition, nonetheless. I promise you that you will not regret giving my version of the song a listen, & it will truly knock you off of your feet! So please listen & enjoy! Thanks!

I heard this in Melissa Villasenor's Zooey To the Rescue!! video, and she sang it great. good song too. Sorry if I'm not into Feminem and Gag-me and Michael Jackson, I prefer raw voices that dont need shallow lyrics, cussing, and autotune to make it to the Top 40.
